Oh gee, Barry Bond DID use steroids

i didnt want to believe it but when a guy puts on 50lbs of muscle in his mid thirties something is up

I had my doubts that he wasn't guilty, but it looks like those are gone now. lol. Fucking guy. I agree, long live the Babe and Aaron's records.

theres no doubt in my mind Barry has gone through some serious body changes due to something! Steriods, weights? i dont know, honestly, i dont and im a big baseball fan, BUT my inclination is steriods, but until he says verbally thats what he did, i dont think, you can assume to 100% that he did it or until balco says i put it in his ass and here's the injection needle with his DNA on it.

But it also takes a certain degree of hand/eye coordination just to hit a 90mph fastball, i know, i playe DI baseball my freshmen year in whats considered on of the toughest confrences in collegiate baseball (BIG WEST). so with that said, he might have very well done it, but to his credit it takes more than steriods to hit a ball out of the park, which he proved for a while (in his youth) that he could do "substance free". Just remember that next time you think anyone who takes steriods or growth hormones can hit BIG Flies and be a professional

keep it up barry, i wanna see you break the record!!! astrisc * or not, records are made to be broken, so go get it!!!

i totally agree that steroids wont help you hit a baseball but its an unfair advantage and theyre illegal. they do help you hit it farther and help you recover from every day wear and tear faster than you would on your own. its hard to support people that take them because there are people that are just as good that dont take steroids and dont do as well because of it. its hard to argue that anyone could be as good as barry but its sad that he had to use steroids to get there.

total unfair advantage i agree. But they play 162 games a year, do even know what kind of stress that puts on muscles and on a body in general. i do, i did it one year, but it was over the course of the whole year not just may to august. Its intense, to play five times a week ! your body inst really built for it!!

and again i agree if he did it, it is very sad to see him get there with steriods cuz its such an accomplishment! but i DO understand his reason behind it- if it was for everyday rejuvenation.

athletes that use steroids are pussies...it just proves that they cant perform at an above average lvl on their own...and its unfair to the guys who do try hard

yeah with playing 162 games a year steroids do give you an unfair advantage over the healing process and injury prevention but as far as hitting homers steroids make you bigger and stronger which if you play baseball makes your swing slower so there is still the natural talent he has to hit the 97 mph fastball so who cares i know its illegal and shit but like he said in one of his interviews, isnt there bigger shit going on in this country to worry about than whether or not a baseball player used steroids?

are you serious? sports are what distract us from all the bullshit thats going on around the world. the world is a depressing place without them. as for bonds, im not surprised. all sports, unfortunately, have become a competition of who can find the best doctors with the best drugs so they can stay ahead of the testings and remain undetectable. it's true in every sport where good money is involved. people need an edge to get the money. its always just about money. I find it best not to think about it that way though.

haha thats pretty embarassing

that's no excuse. they obviously took into account the limits of the human body when they decided how many games to schedule. sure it's hard but it certainly is within an athletes ability. why would you organize so many games knowing the only way to keep up would be to take roids. let's keep the blame on barry. shame shame shame.

this shouldnt be a surprise for anyone, i heard that his hat size increased in the past 5 yrs and that is certainly not normal

actually how much stress a person could take was no factor in the decision at all, they up'd the games for moneys sake. but i have no problem with your blame on barry, most people feel the same way.

ANd i also agree, there are more important things in this world than whether he did or not.

hes a little baby, he sayus i didnt use steriods, then he said he did "unkowingly", and now he did, i knew he did when he hit 73 home runs in one season, and he had never done that ever before, he should be banned from the sport, and all the home runs he hit while he was using steroids, ifthey can pin-point a date, should not count

this summer i played over 120 games last summer May to august and yes it is hard on your body, but there is no reason to resort to steriods. it's not fair for all of the other athletes who work hard all year round and aren't recognized for their work because some meathead roid junkie is hitting bombs. it's the same for any other sport.

haha yes fuck Barry Bonds. He is the person I hate most in sports and I hope he loses all the credit he ever had. I have always believe he took steroids. I think him, Sosa, and Maguire all used them and therefor Roger Maris is who I recognise as the single season homerun record holder.

And don't try to justify it by saying "its not like they help him hit the ball." That is just ignorant.

Albert Pujols will be the one to break Hank Aaron's home run record if it is anyone that is playing right now.

I think that Barry did use steroids and that he should just come out and say he did, because almost everyone already thinks it. it wouldnt be good for him but i think that the book will be the second one saying that Bonds took steroids

this could be another ploy like canseco did to make a few bucks. I don't think we'll ever absolutely KNOW the truth but I think it is safe to assume he is a user

no ploy. According to espn.com

"The book, written in narrative style, is said to be based on more than a thousand pages of documents and interviews with more than 200 people."

Lots of facts to back it up.

Babe did it on a diet of beer, hotdogs, and hookers. Babe and aaron did it with fences that were alot longer than they are now and the balls are not juiced.

For anyone of you who say steriods doesnt help u hit a ball out of the park you are a moron....heres why

YES Barry Bonds has good hand eye coordination and can hit well...hitting home runs has to do with bat speed just as well...which is generated with ur legs torso and arms all fueled by what MUSCLE...More muscle= more bat speed...no without steriods he would have still hit home runs just like b4 he took them...when he wasnt n e where near on pace to break the record...

but with steriods his 100ft hits become 200ft his 200ft hits become 300 and so on...It does make a difference...SO SHUT UP HES A GOD DAMN CHEATER ban him for life!!

It blows my mind that they give these assholes 3 to 5 chances on steriods and they will let guys like strawberry blow nose candy all day and come back to the sport everytime...Steriods alters the record books unfairly and enhances your game play...

Has betting on a game ever done that...no it hasnt i dont get the logical at all its severely flawed...LET PETE IN THE HALL OF FAME...his records where pure he bet after the fact!

we werent saying steroids dont help you hit a home run but steroids alone wont make a person good. no average person can just start taking steroids and be able to hit well, it takes lots of practice and talent. steroids do however increase power and strengh therefore making it easier to hit a home run for someone who can already hit. i totally agree that taking them is cheating and it definiteley makes a difference.

i totally expected that...hes like 40 years old...im sure a 40 year old would be smackin them out of the park that many times..sureeee

Have you ever met Barry? Do you actually know what he's done outside of baseball? How the hell can you hate a man you've never met? Oh yeah, I forgot... because the media tells you too.

I bet you didn't know this about Bonds:

A few ago in the off season or something he took the time and effort and the will to do a bone marrow transplant for a child with leukemia who could not afford the transplant himself. No, he didn't do it for publicity becuse he already had a good name going for himself back then.

I myself had leukemia when I was younger and when a bunch of fans crowded around him after a game for his autographs, I managed to squeeze my way to the front. There were all kind of assholes there claiming to know his uncle, have played with his cousing and I'm just sitting there with my friend and he sees me with my chemotherapy hair style (most of it gone and some hair still straggling to stay on) and pale, weak body and immediately walks over past all the people (whether they deserved it or not) and picked my hat out of my hand, signed it, took my friends hat, signed it, and then proceded to walk into the team bus. You cannot hate on a man for that. People knock on him becuase he's the best. They're jealous and ignorant and don't like the sight of change. It's the same with everything in life. Whenever someone feels threatened that they're name/legacy/whatever is at stake they will do anything to make the person look incapable or shamefull/non-deserving of the job. wow, that ended up way longer than I planned.

But do you know what else he has done, when someone wanted to get his signature, he said, and i qute " I don't sign for white people" AND he also said he didnt care if he beat Hank's record, he only wanted to beat the Babe's reacord, and he also toke steroids and deniend for the longest time, i dont care if he goes to the poorest country in the world and does something abousultley un-selfish, he cheated, thats it thats all

hahahaha, first of all, I AM WHITE. Therefore what you said is wrong. Second of all, ever heard of a joke? Maybe the quote was taken out of context just like every other piece of media propaganda.

Also, I didn't say he went to a 3rd world country. Where the fuck did you get that from? I believe the kid he helped was from Oakland. Do you even know what a Bone Marrow Transplant is???

Who cares if he doesn't want to get Aaron's record. He's old and Ruth's is more of a realistic goal. In my book, he's just being logical and accepting the fact that he's old.

One more thing. If you took steriods and your whole reputaion was on the line and you had a good change of getting away with it, would you admit to it?
