i just scored a set of peps "fujative" from back in the day, a super fun freestyle ski from K2, and im planning on skiing it.

what would be your dream throwbacks to score and mount up?

i would love a set of original yellow solomon 1080's for my wall if anyone has em...

Fujatives were the noodle skis right? Would like to know how soft they really are compared to some modern day noodles like blends or wets. Please let me know when yous ski them!

I would love some Iron Maiden K2, those were the sickest looking skis ever when they came out

OG rossi scratches, Line motherships with the chick in the bikini, OG ar5s, OG line anthems with the wolves, OG 1080s (the OG 720s were a hot graphic too). the list goes on forever

my buddy gary had these in 2001, line 1260. the perfect twin rooster tailed a tidal wave of snow, you couldnt be behind him...

seth pistols, cant forget those.

Among other old skis, I have a pair of these with no plans to use them.

They’ve had edge surgery to replace a portion of edge but if you paid for shipping from Europe, they could be yours.

I did at one time own silver robot 1080s. The orange and blue line slogans. And those 2007 rossi scratch bc that is all rainbow and unicorn farts.

1083110.jpeg

A lot of memories right there

I have a pair of 2012 head boneshakers, motorhead graphic, still in the plastic. They're sick but I have no use for them on the east coast lol

Wish I could get another pair of the second generation of the Line Traveling Circus ski.

An all-time favorite graphic and super fun soft ski. Had a super fun shape too. Wish I never sold them

Still have my fujatives from 04, and currently using the og trouble makers as my park ski. The ski that always got away from me when I tried to buy Ostness Dragons.

CR johnson pro model 1080 lab (the black camo ones)

original black/green trouble makers

i do still have some black/orange 188 'naked lady' scratch BCs

I had those orange chronics. That was a good ski. Someone bring back narrow park skis plz.

I always wanted to try the 2012 and earlier punx that was still full camber and soft. They looked so fun

I have a pair of Seth Pistols that are way too beat for actual skiing but I'm gonna put some dynafits on them for some messing around

I loved skis like the punx, the volkl step, rossi scratch and they helped inspire the Alparka

I had first gen Fujatives and can confirm they were noodles. Wicked fun, but crazy soft.

If I could get any OG ski, it'd be the first gen Line Bacon (green cloud ones). They'd be WAY too soft for me at 6'4, 250, but there isn't a ski I've wanted more than that. Or first gen Line Motherships (2004?) With the train graphics.

Line Afterbangs bought these from one of the dudes I wanted to be like when I growed up clapped for with bottle money when I was 11. rode them until there was but an inch of metal left on thems. I thought it was so cool to snap them and then throw them in the trash can by the lift but to this day i wish their mutilated husks were hanging on my wall. If I ever see a new pair it’s on sight

I have such nostalgia for that era of afterbang graphics

From my perspective, you're asking two questions.

1) 'OG' skis you want to acquire

2) 'OG' skis you want to actually ski on.

#1 is a happy thought exercise with a good list, where as #2 - there are not very many skis from the early twin tip era that could actually stand up to modern ski construction.

Any ski from the early twin tip days are mostly cap construction, foam core, and a 'wet' flex - doing any kind of controlled butter on any early twin tips is not what you would want it to be. Ski manufacturers also were not very good at building skis that were up to the job that we put them through to the point where I managed to destroy incredible amounts of skis in the late 90's/early 2000's, topping out at breaking 7 pairs in the 2000/2001 season.

I would not consider for a second to actually mount a pair of park skis made before 2010 to use them. They would be better served as wall art than a usable ski.

So... with that in mind: if i were to collect 'OG' skis to add to my collection of art, my list would include, but not limited to"

- Olin Mk4

- K2 - The Morrison (first pro model ski EVER)

- Solomon 1080 Mk1

- Line Ostness (first pair of pro model twin tip)

- Volant Spatula

If ANYONE is able to collect those 5 skis they would have a physical collection of the skis that have changed the game over the past 40 years.

Good post, but I wouldn't say all skis before 2010. My 2004 set pistols skied really well after I bought them last year. I didn't get to ski them super hard(they had shitty market m1000s, since replaced with some attacks), but they skied really well.

Can you elaborate on the 1080 mk1? What's different between mk1 and other 1080 models?

I've started a decent collection, and I have a goal to add more, mostly with demo bindings so others can take a spin on them. Essentially I would like to create a usable ski museum of sorts.

Currently have 04 Seth Pistols, 70s Olin Mark IVs, 08 Hellbents, 13 Hellbents(a regular in my quiver), 01 1080 Vincent dorion pros, 07 Line Invaders(with tele bindings).

Must adds:

97 K2 Poacher

OG 1080s

Ostness Dragons

Volant Spatula

03 Scratch FS (red and yellow), would also love the mogul version

03 Scratch BC (orange and black)

Wish list:

05 K2 Fujative

05 Aramada AR5

04 Troublemakers

03 Dynastar Concepts

01? Dynastar Concepts(cow base) - is this the correct year

06 K2 made n aks

I got the Morrison one. 204 with the little lights
