Officially made the most expensive mistake I’ve ever made

Didn't heat treat so tips started to Delam a little bit, and I forgot to put on the top sheet... A lot of stuff went wrong. Basically I’m out a lot of cash, and really enjoy this but I’m in high school working a part time at my local shop- which I haven’t been able to go to lately cause life’s been a pain. What do I do now? Still got enough materials for 1 ski but idk how much that’s worth

You still might be able to salvage this ski!

use a box cutter to cut away the glass above the tip spacers

peel away the tip and tail, give em a sand, hit em with the torch lightly, and press them again! With the top sheet this time!

how did your bases come out? Good bond with the core? That’s the most important part.

Thats how ya learn. Thats why there are practicing doctors, mathematicians and authors. Gotta put the research in, make every mistake until a prototype works.

Props to ya for even trying. I hope you get psyched on the next attempt!
