Not the most exiting slope contest. The #1 and 2 spots clearly show the judges still rank jumps much higher than rails.
 
Glad Ahall put down a run, would have been so frustrating to fall on all of them. Moffat was underscored, I don’t see how raggetli’s run was better
 
Even considering the jump section, I thought Max pretty clearly outperformed Andri top to bottom. I think what we saw is more that judges will always count degrees of rotation as basically the most important thing.

I’m just glad we got to see both Max and A Hall lay down an absolute banger.

Maybe they still have the rule where they won’t count 2 tricks in the same direction? Like if your first trick is forward left next one has to be switch left or to the right. Otherwise the ruling makes no sense

Andri's run was insane but hard to see how it beat Moffett's. This guy put down an actual elite run - he could have done a kosac after the sw 12 nose and dub 14 safety and taken 1st. look at the difference in the "safety" grabs between Andri's 16 vs Max's 14.

Some wild runs but hopefully more get landed at Olympics. It seemed like the rail section was too complex but kinda boring at the same time.

Totally agree, especially his rails which were objectively easier than all the other top 4 guys. Everyone else is out there doing 3 swaps or other risky tricks and he gets gold with a comparatively simple but clean run.

That rule doesn’t exist anymore, so definitely confusing overall.
 
Andri needs to stop landing switch because when he does it ALWAYS looks like shit, he doesn't put much kinkage in the knees and just bends over like he's taking it in the ass. So fucking wack, why the fuck do they keep giving him medals for his stupid switch dub misty. Ugliest fucking rotation you could do.

Did we really need that whole segment of that girl and that guy taking random selfies. Anything they try to promote outside of the competition just doesn’t work for me.
 
for the record: Woodsy was also way underscored/ranked for his first slope run. If he put that down on the last run instead of out the gate, he at least would have been knocking on the podium…

Hate to say it, but im sure xgames has a lot less money thrown at them than the Olympics

Or heck, even Grand Prix events having big $ like Visa

There is something to be said against overt advertising / promotion on steroids tho

Xgames certainly makes more money in advertising than a grand prix event.
 
Nico missed the mute grab on his 3rd hit. If you watch the slowmo he clearly only grabbed his toe piece and I don’t get how with that missed grab his overall impression put him into first.
