I hate to try to argue with you because you're Matt Walker, and we're both gingers. But Looking at these highlights I do feel like Bobby and Elias both had some beautifully stomped landings, while Kai's were somewhat flailed looking in comparison.

I don't know what the judge's current take on poles are either. Kai was the only guy skiing without them and I definitely feel like it makes awkward tricks and grabs easier. But shit the judges loved it when Goepper did it in slope last year so...

I completely agree with you on the second point. This X-Games as a whole has been fairly disgusting overall. So many unnecessary falls, poor judging, way, WAY too many spins, typical cringe worthy announcing.

The NS community as a whole is not represented by what this comp has become. It's all designed for television directed to the younger demographic/people who rarely ski. For the beacon of light which are the stylish and creative skiers competing, thank you for doing you.

Is there a bootleg way to set up a stream with voice audio from someone like Matt? That would be fucking stellar. There are a lot of people that would put out some hilarious commentary to, things like mocking LVV and Uncle E for letting us know that Kai did indeed have no poles.

That was a highly entertaining evening of thrilling big air, but at what cost?! Like someone said, they all deserve Gold!!

Loved that Vinnie got rewarded for his unique stylish trickery.! He so deserved Gold and its a win for freeskiing as well! Style>spins, although Schlopys spins are worthy! Bobby for his RELENTLESS pursuit of the podium, even after blowing up his helmet!! And 3rd, although I'm happy for Elias, there could've been a 3-way-tie. Mahler, Tjader all were amazing. Wonder how everyone's feeling today haha.

I think this^ is a big overreaction... There are at least two things that separate Arials from Ski Big Air. One being the jump size/shape. Another being the necessity to grab. These are big differences that I don't see changing in the foreseeable future.

Be happy that your guy won, and just try to enjoy the show haha. You have to give it to these guys, that what they are doing is physically incredible.
