They had the possesion (57%) they switched positions around before the game and it realllllly messed up beasley and the right wing crossings
 
Dude they had the ball for 60% of the game. They just needed to be more aggresive and working together in synch. They wheren't in the game, and they just couldn't build up a rythm because Checz controlled the tempo of the game.

My friend, anyone can beat anyone...I said it CAN happen. The chances are very slim, but you need to remember that MUCH stranger things have happened.
 
i would love to say sweden is going to win it but watching there game on saturday was a disgrace, it was something like 18 or 19 shots to 9 shots. sweden had so many sick opportunities to put it in but they couldnt finish. that being said the defense of trinidad tobago was very good having so many men back but i still cant get over how sad the finishing was....

but really, my boyfriend has never, ever liked/appreciated soccer and i made him watch 2 games with me yesterday. does he like it now? safe to say he does.

and ooh italy, its just dissapointing to see a man with longer, nicer hair than i do.

Heres my two cents.

When Rooney gets off his ass and actually plays, England will do good. they have a great team with Beckham, Gerard, Ferdinand, Rooney. But they will be no match for Brazil simply because of Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. Also, the US will be eliminated 2nd round.

Meh, ronaldo is overated theses days i find. plus if you havent noticed he is way out of fitness and some even speculate that he is overweight, never the less, brazil still have many replacements such as adriano, julio baptista and robinho

they are looking the strongest right now and well see how they play tomorrow versus the croatians

Wait... Ronaldihno and Ronaldo don't both play forwards together though. So being a bastard here, you can't technically say they are the best striking team in soccer. If I'm wrong, my bad.
 
I am just hoping the USA can do something spectacular against Italy. I just can't stnad to see them lose a heartbreaker. Ya today they didn't have the heart. and Brucie knows that, hes just gott a get these guys up. Ive seen a lot of football, and man, I've seen the US play a ton, and they jsut were not in it today. but Saturday, they need to show up, because this is the bigggest event in the world, therefore it happens only four years, and on june 17, i don't want to be kicking myself saying, O well time to sweat blood and tears for the US soccer team for another long years to qualify. THe world cup comes down to representing a country, and our guys need to put US soccer on the map, so we aren't looked at as the guys whod on't belong here. ANd trust me this team belongs in the world cup, it is just so unfortybnate that we had to have a bad draw. But its ok, becauwse the world cup ois about learning experiences, and i hope that this team can get something out of this experience. So it isnt a complete failure. SO lets go USA!!!
 
I watched the game italy vs. ghana yesterday, I think that was the best game to watch so far.

Very quick playing, lots of chances and a unlucky ghana.

I think they deserved at least a draw.

BUT this is football! Everything can happen
 
the Czechs out played us by so much. their defence was so much better. If we ever pased the ball to someone withen 40 yards of the goal, one of their players would be on our player before the ball got to him. this made us eather lose posetion or keep passing it back and never really get it passed midfield. On offense they were really aggresive. so aggresive that they were offsides alot, they basicaly would have a guy as far forward as they could then sprint forward for a breakaway. Basicaly their defence had the depth that ours lacked.
 
Haha, sure brazil are panicking!! They're going to rape you, that scoreline flattered you so much, should've been a draw at most.
 
The US has only two things going for them, they know how to play the offside trap and they keep fighting until the end. But that won't be enough to beat either Italy or Ghana.

The ref did apologise, but it doesn't mean it wasn't a very close game, which isn't reflected in the 3-1 scoreline.

Even if you were the better team (just), you're still nothing compared to Brazil and they clearly are not panicking!
 
i know that we are nothing compared to brasil. no team is, brasil has there own style completly diff to every 1 else. and i wasnt the 1 that said they were panicking
 
Cool, I'm just a bit bitter 'cause I was in Aus when we (England) got beat and had the piss ripped out of me! hated the socceroos ever since!
 
That Italy-Ghana game was intense, I would have liked to see Ghana win or at least score but luck and the calls were against them. The refs seem to like screwing the African teams.

The U.S.-Czech game was just... disappointing. I don't care if we don't make it out of the group, as long as we play out best. Monday's game was just a very poor showing... it'd be totally badass if we rebounded and miraculously win against Italy, those tricky, diving bastards!

Here in Germany everyone is really excited and worried... "wird Deutschland Weltmeister?" I don't think they'll make it, but ya never know.
 
Well I think they go far buut they won`t make.

But the vibe and the energy here in germany is so fantastic!

Everybody seems to be and soak up the athmosphere!!!
