Official Whos Buying Surface Skis Thread

they look like killer skis but i havn't heard much about them or many reviews, i am waiting for thier site to be completed

i just hope they have a warranty since they could be liable to break being an upstart company and all, but im all for that and their offerings have impressed me the most of any other ski company out there

yes, there is a manufacturers warranty. not sure if it is one year or two year, but there is a warranty. but i wouldn't worry about the manufacturer because it is a legit company in austria that makes great product. not one of those typical startup manufacturers that has cheaply made skis with low minimums (like their first manufacturer).

they take pride in their product rather than making an okay ski for mass comsuption.

they have not been posted yet on the surface blog or the surface cult, which is where I get all my information regarding surface. The website is set to launch soon so wait for that.

thats wack to have different size skis have the same dimensions and call them the same ski..... because each one of those is going to ski completely differently than the other sizes.

The skis are made in Austria now, but it is a Utah based company. Ive ridden the 184 Cushions for 2 years now, and I love 'em. They had some bad luck it seems with Revolution, but the new shit out of Austria looks sick. Everyone should at least check it out, its ran by a great guy, and they have sick riders.

these shots are from the sunburn session this summer - it took place on about 3-4 acres of snow next to a road in utah.

a bunch of biker dudes on harley's were cheering each time blake jumped this little cornice - hilarious!

(we do funny things when we are desperate to ski)

but they are stacked. the owners of surface have a perfect plan. they have everything they need to get going. A perfect ski designer and ski builder, someone willing to give there left nut to get the company off the ground, the best photographer, and someone who can put down the money to get the skis made. then the riders...oooooh just wait.

their park ski is 1.3lbs lighter than the armada ar6.

i also heard they are injected with helium, so when you pop they give you a little extra lift.

surface will be the next company to make it in the ski business though. theres just no other option.

they are soooper light, i picked up brandon beckers at windells, even with rossi scratch bindings they wiegh nothing, the lightest twin i've ever held. no joke, ligher than my thrusters with S912's. crazy

e style i believe is the only way you will get your hands on them this season. and a select shop in utah.

i'm really hoping when the ups man comes today he'll have a pair of 180 watch lifes for me.

i'm trading mr. powfoka my troy lee D2 for a pair of brand new FKS 155s to put on them. mmmm. should be tasty!
