anyone else going to camp or shredding their summer sesh this year? i think im going to camp not sure what week but ill be their. post in here if youll be too. :)

whaleback is super fun and is only getting better. we are planning on adding to the summer setup and making it better. have any ideas of what you would like on the setup, post it up

jump into foampit is unrealistic because whaleback does not have the funds. in the skatepark they have a jump for rollerblades and skateboards into a foam and in the past there has been a tramp into the foam pit

Flat-Down-Flat box. Pretty long too though. Also, you really just want features that are good to try tricks on. I love that 6 inch wide box that was set up as a down off the rollers at one point. Maybe make something like that but a flat down or something. And if you guys are looking for any help I am very handy when it comes to building summer setups :D Let me know if you need any help

hey I have 3 vouches for the whaleback if anyone is interested. $20 for 1 ticket or $50 for all 3. PM me if your interested

hey guys the dates for camp have been released. this year there will be two specific ski and snowboard weeks but the other camps still provide opportunities to use the foam pit, trampoline and skatepark. the dates for the ski and snowboard camps are

july 25-29 and august 1-5

the setup is being changed and improvements are being made, it should be a great summer at whaleback. for more info on the camps visit whaleback.com

a major part of the ski camps is going to the skatepark and using roller blades in the foam pits to learn flips and stuff so yes if you do the day camp you will be using the skatepark facilities as well as the summer jib set up

hey just wanted to let you guys know that this year we have changed up alot of dates for summer rail jams and the first one if coming up on may 14! i know you are all depressed that ski season is coming to an end but we will be holding a rail jam starting with practice at 1245 and the contest starting at 2. hope to see you all there. here is the link for more details

i went to check it out today, along with the kimball union academy and hartford skatepark but not much was going on yet. the drop ins were there but no rails or anything. whose been to the camp and could i ask a few questions to you please cause i didnt see anyone working there to ask. i saw someone hiking up and skiing down and it could have been an nser

is it worth it? checking it out and its 800 for overnight just to hit the skatepark and turf set up. just wondering

glad to hear some people have signed up for camp this summer, whaleback just got powderpack for the summer setup which is what is used at both ohio dreams and cammelback mountain. it will be a great addition to the summer setup and will allow for more rail setups!

this weekend we have snow so we will be going with 32 foot flat down box, 16 foot down rail and 16 foot down box. for the summer it depends on the camp and what the campers want!

if you dont own a skateboard or inline skate you can rent them for the week to use the foam pit. along with using the foam pit to practice rail tricks the trampoline will be there to practice jump tricks

if anyone still has not registered for a camp and wants to do so, there are still some openings. We just got in the powderpak artificial snow surface for the summer setup. we are also very excited to have jake doan and tyler duncan helping to coach the camps this summer! hope to see you at the whale

Anyone else going to Beach Session 1 next Saturday? I've never been so what should I wear and do I have to register ahead or can i just show up?

Oh shit, there's one saturday? Might be going up then. Just wear whatever. You might get wet if you fall on the turf which will happen a lot. Could always wear a bathing suit like I've done haha. And you just show up and fill in waivers if you haven't this year and pay for the session

I'm also going, it's my first time. How many people go there on the session? Like do we have to wait an hour in the lines between two hits?

Not sure how this one is going to work but I went to the one in May which was more of a comp than a jam session but during practice it wasn't too long of a wait for hits maybe 10 people in front of you who take under a minute each so it was like a 10 minute wait max but typically less.

this weekend should be a great rail jam, we just got powderpak artificial snow surface which will make the setup faster. to answer the question about the number of people that go to a rail jam, we usually have around 30 or 40 but with 3 drop ins the line to hit the setup is never more than a couple minutes!

Seems like it's going to be too crowded for my liking. I can't stand the flat down box. It's set up perfectly but they need some new p-tex on em. They just don't slide and you always tend to fall off one side
