by looking at the forecast, it seems like they should be open by Thanksgiving weekend. That's what I am looking forward to at least. Not getting my hopes up for this weekend because I highly doubt it's going to happen.
by the way.... 4000th POST!

ok so i know everyones heard this enough... but snow expected in the forcast next wednesday. Tyrol WILL be open by thanksgiving...

here is the latest. just received this in an email a couple minutes ago..
You think you're anxious for snow? Nobody is more ready than Don McKay, General Manager of Tyrol Basin. Having already been open a few weeks by this time last year, to say Don is ready to make snow is an understatement. There have been two occasions of snowmaking in the last few weeks and although the weather has not been cooperative for further attempts, the snowmakers have proven that they are ready to go at a moment's notice. Here are some of Don's guidelines for making snow, so you can be "ready" too. The temperature at Tyrol Basin has to be approximately 28 degrees or below; 25 to 29 degrees is marginal to produce adequate conditions. Several nights of these temps are necessary to make enough snow for you to come and enjoy yourself. Precipitation, humidity, and clear or cloudy skies are factors that have to be considered also. Temperatures are expected to drop later this week and Don hopes to take advantage of the conditions and make enough snow for a hiking park to be open this weekend. An announcement will be made via text message, so if you haven't already, sign up to receive notification by texting TYROL to 95495. Tyrol Basin friends on Facebook will also see status updates regarding opening hours and, as always, you can check out our webcam atwww.tyrolbasin.com.

just got an email from tyrol. they said theyll be open this weekend if weather permits. Righteous son.

seriously no one has bumped this tonight? it's been snowing in Cross Plains for the past like 3 hours....hope for tyrol is very high right now!
if tyrol can make snow tonight, tomorrow night, and friday night i think we're set for saturday

JEAAA!

Sadly there was no snow to be found this morning at Tyrol Basin ski area in Mount Horeb Wisconsin; however, the next two nights are looking excellent for snow making! Could two nights of snow making yield enough snow for jibbers from around the Midwest to congregate for a fun filled day of skiing and snowboarding? Only time will tell.

I think they could make enough snow to run the handle tow or to just hike. if you look at how they have all the guns placed side by side even in marginal temps I think they could make enough

even though there i no snow everything seems to be goign as planned for the hills, I'm pretty sure most planned on blowing snow from thursday untill as long as they can. riding on saturday looks sort of like a garauntee to me

Just checked the webcam and they're blowing snow like crazy! Sucks that i have to work all day friday, saturday, and sunday. I think a feel a cold coming on **coughcough**

They are blowing all over the entire hill in front of the web cam... a week from now I bet they will have the A chair open. STOKED!

You think they will also be open on sunday if they open tmrw? Fucking thanksgiving celebration with my dad is gonna keep me here in the chi all day tmrw...

i signed up for the tyrol texting thing and they just texted me, here's what it said:
Tyrol Basin is making snow! Hiking Park will be open Sat. and Sun. Nov. 28-29, noon to 5. $10 tickets. GAME ON! Visit www.tyrolbasin.com.

GAME ON IS RIGHT!

You beat me to it! D:

SO PUMPEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.

Who's gonna go? Hopefully a good amount of NS'ers in the area come. I'll be sucking it up on some 07/08 Anthems, some brown pants, either a white jacket or green sweat shirt, and a black helmet (that has some NS stickers on it).

See you all there!
