Official Trampoline Thread

I have a friend name Andrew who broke his hip on a trampoline and it was the worst screaming I've ever heard, he's also a potato so he doesn't know the real world very well yet.

im gonna upload a vid of some dub attempts on my friends tramp. i can land them on mine just dont have any vids. going to a gym tomorow might try to throw a triple we will c.

This is some double attempts and one landed from a year ago:

First couple look weird because I was trying different ways of throwing it.

About a year ago, I managed to land an unnatural lincoln. I have no idea how I managed to do it as I can't even start the rotation for the life of me now, but I want to learn unnatural flats, misty's, and lincoln's again. Any advice?

I'm working on unnatural flats right now, can land them every time but they're flaily. Just know what you're doing and be sure to commit. I started it because I felt comfortable enough doing normal flats it so I tried hucking it the other direction and it came around so now I'm finessing it. Misty's as well, I could do them a while ago, not anymore but I pretty much studied my technique of doing it naturally and just throwing it the opposite way.

yea... its the spring size. Im not doing research here to be exact on numbers butt... backyard tramps are often 6 inch springs. gymnastic ones are 9,10,11,or 12 inch. our local gym upgraded from (im pretty sure) 10 to 11 inch and there was a huge diff in bounce. each spring length required a diff sized frame as well (which means you cant just go buy bigger springs)

so, just because you have a rectangular tramp, it does not mean that the bounce is much better. its much more about the spring size

Word thanks for the advice. Do you think a backyard tramp is good enough if I'm not looking to do doubles aside from corks or something? I mean I'd like a bigger spring but don't feel like dropping 2g's on a tramp. Maybe Craigslist?

craigslist, or try asking around with gymnasts or at gyms if they know of any old ones not being used. for a gymnastics one, you will most likely find a frame and then have to buy the rest

in terms of whats good enough: it would be awesome to find a cheap gymnastics one, but you really dont need one. find a friend with a tramp you like (obv a really bouncy one), look up the company name, and buy it. if thats still too much, go for craigslist

Recently I broke my trampoline so I'm looking for a new one.

I tried a springfree large oval trampoline this one: http://www.springfreetrampoline.co.nz/trampolines/large-oval-trampoline and it was actually seemed pretty decent.

My question is do any of you guys own a springfree trampoline? If so what do you think about it? Would recommend getting one.

If they're not good does anyone know where I can buy a good traditional trampoline in New Zealand, I don't care about safety nets and price really as long as it had decent padding over the springs.

My parents bought my sister a tramp for tumbling that was about $750 and it is far better then the trampolines at the trampoline park in my town. I'll get the brand in the morning

Windells had one for awhile and the bounce was far less than preferable, I would just get one with nice padding over the springs.

Having some trouble with unnatural flat/rodeos. The only way I can somewhat start the rotation is by throwing it almost straight back like a wackflip, which obviously doesn't work so well.

any tips for cork 3s? i can cork five perfect (and i throw it like my feet are on a wall like a cork 3) but i cannot seem to stop the rotation and keep it at just 3

Kick your feet up punch the midget but not as hard punch him like he gave you the stink eye instead of stealing your bitch!

Just bought a new trampoline of craigslist and its ghetto as fuck. A couple missing springs, the mat has a decent size hole in it, no spring cover, and no net. Its still bouncy as fuck though haha
