Hydrofoils, glorious boats, had their peak in the 60's/70's in Euroland, they're very fast, very stable, Russian build, look dramatic and prohibitively expensive ( at least 3x more then a conventional boat).
Mostly used as ferry's, the ones you still see nowadays are mostly aging models, kept on more for the novelty.

Still in use several places in Europe. I've been to a bunch of greek islands, and I think i've seen one on almost every island.

Also, it was good to see a more traditional episode. This one was actually about cars, and it was fantastic. Both the funniest and most interesting of this series so far, mainly because they weren't trying as hard.
That AMG GT is one of the best looking cars i've ever seen.
The M3 part i was disappointed with. I bet Clarkson thinks the part about not being able to turn off all the electronic stability stuff in sport mode is "utterly stupid", but either his love for bmw made him not make a big deal out of it, or bmw paid for a good review. He has basically ruined cars' reputations for less in earier episodes. Don't get me wrong, i'm a huge fan and i think he is one of the best tv hosts ever, but that part was lame.

Fuck yes, it looks like the trio is about to finalize a deal with Netflix. It's interesting because that was one of the first suggestions when Clarkson, May and Hammond left. Netflix is really holding it down these days. Hammond and May both turned down a 6.1 million dollar bribe to bring them back to the BBC. Good on them. Siked.

Also I'm interested what you think they will do with Netflix. They cant keep going with the same format. They probably get a lot of freedom and do what they want. In the latest series of Top Gear some episodes were more like small specials, will they go more that way or more crazy car tests and stupid challanges with caravans? What do you think? What would you do?
They should make a show testing and bickering about things completely unrelated to cars.

As far as netflix it makes sense because they have all the data and saw how much of a fucking hit that was with all the people watching it on there. IF they didn't already grasp that from the bbc raking in $$$$ for it
