Official TIE-DYE thread.

tonight, i started on the tedious task of bleach tie-dying an old tall sleeveless for the first time. I guess i figured out that its abit harder than i initially thought. i used a method called Marbling, where you scrunch the shirt into a wrinkled ball and tightly surround it with elastics so that its a nice big ball of tightly packed fabric. i think i like marbling the best out of the other techniques.
heres how it turned out:(better pics once it dries and its not under a drip bucket)

Not bad i guess for the first time. (the sweater was originally black with the inside hood gray)
SO post up YOUR techniques and finished tie-dye work. maybe NS has some tie-dye pros that can give us a few tips :)

TThese are both pretty standard styles and super easy... I made both in about 5 minutes as a floor activity at my dorm.First one:Grab the middle of the shirt and twist, keeping it as flat as possible. Secure with rubber bands so you hhave a sort of thick pizza. Dye the different 'slices' different colours.

Number 2:Grab the middle of the tshirt and pull it up. Gather the top/bottom/sleeves together. You'll have a long strip with the middle as one end and the outsides as the other. Secure with rubber bands and dye different colours moving along.

you lay the shirt out then pinch the spot where you want the spiral to start and keep spinning your hand. then take 3 rubber bands and cross them so it stays in place then add the dye.

the fact that you have seen enough canine scrotum to compare the inside of a hood to one is much much more concerning than the fact that it may look like one hahaha
