I know theres a few jacuzzis near eagle lodge in that little condo village right by juniper springs. Most of the gates are reach over and with all the snow lately, whats a fence. Just say your staying in one of the condos if anyone bugs you, doubt they will since those places are dead on the weekdays. I know its still no shower but im getting closer?

if anyone needs or wants a filmer/photographer, I'll be riding Squallypine from the 14th to 25th. Hit me up!

Gonna be at Northstar/Squaw from the 23rd to the 27th. Anyone know the status of Northstar's parks? Also, how far is Woodward from Northstar?

Northstar is about 20 min from boreal if there aren't traffic issues.

Parks are on point. Jumps are fucking killer right now, rails are hit or miss. Some of the take offs or general sets are a little wonkey and lower pinball could use less boxes but otherwise solid.

Also have 2 pipes side by side because mad snow. Mini pipe isnt really my jam but the 18 has been riding real nice the last week now thst it isnt snowing a thousand feet every day.

Ill be up there pretty much everyday. Usually ride 2 or 3 days a week after work.

If you like big jumps the 2 jump line in straights is killler but its more than i feel like hitting this season. Jut got back on jumps and almost blew out the knees already. Today was first day hitting 123 in pinball in 2 weeks. Felt good and honeslty 2 and 3 are pretty big. Nothing wild but you get some hang time.

Any Tahoe Skiers here either from the SF/Santa Cruz bay area's or between there and Tahoe that are looking to plan trips/carpool this season or in the future? Newish to the forums and always looking for more people to shred with!

I usually try to go weekly or bi-monthly and have a flexible schedule; have a Crosstrek that more than capable of making the journey but can also pitch on gas.

Have a Tahoe Epic Pass this year but may get an Ikon next year/this spring so I am currently limited to Heavenly, Kirkwood, and Northstar (but may have squaw and mammoth available later).

Used to skiing fairly advanced Big Mountain Terrain but have no issue hitting the park, groomers, or even just slowing down a bit to enjoy the slopes with someone who is used to a slower pace.

What happened to heavenly terrain parks? High roller no longer a thing? Went there today for the last day of my trip, had a good time but went over to high roller to be met by a normal groomer haha.

Anybody trying to get their terrr on this spring?

Looks like some areas still have some pretty decent snow. I didn't get out as much as I wanted this season, but down to get some steep spring lines.

This time next year im all over it. Thats quote a rain check I know.

No worries, I'll be around next year. Very likely doing another season at northstar next year. like 99% coming back to tahoe regardless. Prolly gonna roas trip back east to see some friends early may, do some abay laps in CO. I'll be back out end of october

Well didn't get much BC this season though had some fun days but resort days were firing.

I grabbed a couple Squaw comps. Probably going up once in the next few days and once after the weekend. Hittin peace park on Sunday though. I've never ridden squaw and if anybody's up there riding and knows the best spots to hit holla. If not I'll just meander and see what I find. Hoping some of my friends are out and about. I gotta remember wh has an ikon though.

Where you get them vouchers mr?

Hey guys, looking to move from the city to Tahoe for this upcoming winter. Any recommendations on how to find housing would be much appreciated!! Im a 24 yr old, pretty rippin skier and have an ikon pass so I'd be sticking around Squaw mostly, with some BC days peppered in here and there.

Ordered the Epic Pass yesterday and I'm so excited to visit the USA for the first time. My friend and I want to start in Denver and then go to Lake Tahoe in march. If you have any suggestions or want to shred with 2 cool girls - go for it :)

Craiglist and facebook groups. Reno/Tahoe Craigslist and Truckee Tahoe People. There's also a housong specific page but I forgot the name.

Best bet is prolly somewhere around Tahoe City or Truckee for squaw. Housing can be pricey and tough to come by. Def get on it early if you can.

Heavenly kinda blows imo but check it out at least once. Def get to Kirkwood when you can. One of my favorite mtns. I work at Northstar and live in kings beach so hit me up if you ever wanna shred in the mornings.

I get my terr on from time to time if you guys have at gear.

Should be a sick trip though getting CO/UT/CA mtns in. Some cool national parks not far from the highway. If you're on 70 in CO glenwood canyon is a nice drive in daylight(on the highway). Also maybe an hour each way to shoot up to Aspen for a day even if you dont ski(ikon) although super chill uphill policy at Aspen resorts. Created Butte is fun as fuck and on epic now if you have time. Black canyon is sick and right there. San juans are chill. If you're driving 80 out of SLC you literally drive right by the Bonneville salt flats. Nothing crazy but worth streching you legs.

I haven't done a shit ton in nevada other than drive across a bunch but there's some chill stuff.

If you can make it to Yosemite in CA at any point it's awesome but does get snow so check the weather.

Have fun. Enjoy your road trip.

Yeah I think Truckee would probably be my best bet in terms of location. I might also look further east near Kings Beach or Incline Village. Also, would it suck for me to live in South Lake Tahoe if I'm skiing Squaw and Alpine everyday? How is the traffic on that side of the lake during winter time?

14055808:B.Gillis said:
More or less you need to look at the lake in two halves, north lake and south lake. Communing from south lake to squaw/alpine could take you anywhere from 45 minutes to 12 hours depending on weather conditions and jerry conditions. If you’re going squaw/alpine then stick to north lake. Truckee is a great little town but it’s also a popular area to try and find housing in. What’s your price range?

Ok gotcha. I'm pretty flexible on price range, but anything under 1000/month would be ideal.

What, snow is falling in Tahoe already? Fuck yes.

I'm living down here in Oakland so I wonder if any Bay Area heads on here would be down to join together for some weekend missions. In my experience, if you get a group of like 10+, you can get a pretty lux rental for not too much $. I'm mostly aiming to ride North Star (got an epic pass) but I'm down for other spots too.

Snow is here motherfuckers. Lets get ready for a sick year. If you dab heavy and want a couch to crash on....PM me..I live on top of Tyner in Incline so no motherfuckers with all seasons.

Yay for snow

Dabs terrify me but I'll hopefully be back out occasionally on mondays, eating mushies and bowling my little heart out. Also bought a DP pass last spring so I'll be riding there more often when Northstar gets shot.

It's pissing rain here in Australia. I'm looking forward to leaving this season and getting back up for the real season.

I NEED PASS HELP.

Strong chance I’m gonna be living in Reno for a work contract this winter, December-March.

If so I’ll be working a lot of weekends and hopefully skiing 3-4 days a week on weekdays.

I was looking at pass options and wanted to get some local Tahoe cats opinions.

I’m leaning towards the Ikon Base pass cause that gets me Squaw/meadows, mammoth, and most of the resorts in UT that I’m planning trips to.

Epic gets northstar (closer but never skied there), heavenly (good, not great), and Kirkwood (my favorite resort on earth, but far from Reno)....

Also, living in Reno is scooping up one of the cheaper passes at Mt. Rose worth it? .....just considering it based on it being the closest and I could drive up a few times a week for some hot laps without driving all around Tahoe.

Just wanna maximize my days on snow this year, any tips help. Educate me mother fuckers.

Diamond peak was 399 with spring on it. Fun mtn. You get a few free tickets to other hills. Rose is closer to reno for sure.

Epic isn't bad. Northstar is fun, heavenly blows, kirkwood is sick.

Ikon is sweet but traffic to squaw looks fucked. I've only ridden in spring.

I groom parks at Northstar so have the epic and then bought the dp for the crowded days.

Got flower..ate mushies one time and skied. Left after one run. LSD is primeeee for skiing in my eyes. We will link for sure

Snows been fallin', the time approaches!

Any of you degenerates around Tahoe/Mammoth (or weekenders from the Bay) trying to link up this season??

I also have the fire dabs, bud, and whiskey if you're cool like that

Anybody skate or surf? Trying to get some time into both. Bought a skateboard in Australia and went out 10-15 times this season. Still pretty green but have a few tricks and it's just fun being out there.

I'm not very good at surfing but have considered trying to get into it more and flop around the ocean and maybe catch the occasionally decent wave to make some shitty turns on.

Well boys the time is nigh, my long-term relocation to Tahoe is happening in 10 days. Just renting with family between sierra-at-tahoe and heavenly for now, but a home is in the works. Hope to link up with some people who have been there for awhile, or any locals looking for a fresh face. Cant wait to make it my home base for the next 15 plus years. DM me on here or via insta at @seekingseasons and I will surely reply. Would love to meet any of ya.

Im not a big fan of Heavenly but I go there a bit cause some of my good friends from NY live in South Lake these days. I mostly just ride Northstar and DP. A few Kirkwood laps. Some days at the Heav, Homewood and Boreal here and there. And maybe a couple at squaw/sierra if I can snag some comps.

Would love to meet anyone I can up there, especially if they are a fellow ns'er. Thanks for the invite, ill definitely hit you up this winter.

Who else got that email from epic pass this morning about snow in Tahoe? My life needs a fast forward button right now.

I didn't get it :( Wheres the good stuff showing up at? Im itching to slide and get up there on the 29th. I saw local post on his insta this spot today that seemed to have a few lil features on this pretty well covered run, got me stoked.

It was basically just an ad email trying to get me to book resort rentals through them, but still - I saw “Snow has fallen in Tahoe” in the subject line and lost my shit.

If anyone wants to meetup for a beer and shoot the shit, it would be cool to meet some people. Just scored a job at Sierra working in Ski rentals. Should be a fun gig. If anyones ever there this year shoot me a visit.

How was it? Im waiting to get my daily drivers in the mail and really want to test them out.

I’ll be in Tahoe this weekend for a family thing - what do you think, worth the trip to rose? I’m itching to get out there but don’t wanna scrape up my new skis on rocks just to clock a few laps....

Wishing you an amazing trip! If you plan to drive from Colorado to Tahoe I suggest you spend some time skiing in Utah. There are several excellent resorts in the Salt Lake City area and at a minimum you can use your Epic Pass at Park City and Snowbasin. Also, not sure if you are aware but cannabis is legal and sold openly in specialty retail stores (aka dispensaries) in Colorado, Nevada, and California but NOT in Utah so don’t get caught with weed in Utah because they are not cool.

EDIT: Also... Skiing weekends (especially holiday weekends) can be a crowded mess. You might want to schedule your rest days & driving days on Saturday to avoid the crowds. And if you got the full Epic pass that includes Telluride you should definitely make the effort visit Telluride... it’s gorgeous.

Thank you so much :) Of course we are going to drive by car. What is a roadtrip without driving? xD We are going to start our trip in San Francisco, going to Northstar, Salt Lake and then Denver. Sadly Telluride is not included in my Epic Pass.

Probably the info of Cannabis in Utah could be very important for me. :)
