I decided to make this because there seems to be a lack of Tahoe information in this forum. so here it is,

the Official Tahoe Thread

anything that has to do with Tahoe goes here; winter OR summer. Discuss weather, mountain conditions, meet ups and hook ups, epic stories, sick ass places, things to do, pretty much ANYTHING!

first off, here are some sites for general information on Tahoe, whether your a local or planning a trip:

North Shore Information http://www.gotahoenorth.com/

South Shore Information http://tahoesouth.com/

secondly, here are some links to some of the mountains around the area;

Tahoe and the surrounding area is a dope place with some even doper people, with a shit ton of stuff to offer. Whether you're a weekend warrior on the mountain, or a bar hopper down in the basin, this thread is for you.

that is all, shred on fellow shredders.

Cool Idea. Keep up the Tahoe Hype. Looking forward to some more spring days and then hiking/biking in the summer.

THE BEST TAHOE WEATHER WEBSITE.

Honestly, the best.

HEAVENLY RESORT TIPS

1. Cali lodge, there is a road that runs next to the world cup lift. Park there, you can ski to the lift/tram, and ski to your car. The best parking spot on the mountian, unless you're going to Nevada side.

2. hot coco if you go to any lodge and find a star bucks coffee cup, go to the bathroom rinse it out, go and refill it. FREE HOT COCO.

3. If you take up the gondola and it's raining/you forget your water for the day, take the back of the seat off and there is ponchos, space blankets, water, glow sticks etc. ONLY TAKE THESE IN EMERGENCYS.

4. HOT TUB TIPS There are two hot tubs, one on the cali side, and one on the nevada side. The one on the cali side is at the Marriott resort. RIGHT NEXT TO THE GONDOLA. Very easy access. Walk in to the hotel, there is a hallway to your right. follow that the whole way down, look like you know what you're doing. Get to the pool area. Stick arm over fence, push the handle in and open. VERY EASY. Go into pool area, get into boxers/shorts then go up to front desk and ask for pool towels. I always change in the bathroom afterwards. or the elevator. THE NEVADA SIDE. When you are at the stagecoach lodge there are a shit ton of condo's/ hotels. go up the stairs, very easy access. No worrys about security/anything like that. NO TOWELS THOUGH.

ooooofff squaw looks fun. I rode it for the first time ever this year and I now am making it a mission to ride there at least once a year from now on.

if anyone has any passes to any resorts still open for the next couple of weeks p.m. me. Gonna be out there and need some tickets.

yo yo!

about to graduate from school in SLC and thinking about givng Utah the big fuck you. Tahoe is on top of the list... im stoked on park skiing, pow, parties, photography and other things of that nature. probably would move out in January 2013... anyone have advice on where to shred/ live? is it easy to get a job? what is the cost of living? whats the best value pass in terms of a rad park and fun terrain?

thanks!

well first off, get a Squaw/Alpine pass. its ballin. second, your going to have to figure out what kind of social scene you want. North Shore tahoe is filled with a lot of people who get after it on the mountain but go to bed at like 8pm. South Lake tahoe has a much better night life, and more people since thats where tourists like to go.

as far as jobs, im sure there are plenty, and the cost of living is a little above average, but again, that depends if your north shore or south shore.

I'm currently living on the North Shore (incline village to be specific) and have been here for 2 years. Im trying to move to the west shore or truckee by the summer. take a peep at Tahoe City, thats my favorite place around tahoe.

good luck with the move man! and hit me up when your hear, i'll show you around squaw for sure.

Hit those jumps all day today. The rest of the park looked sick but I could not stop hitting those. Soo perfect. Landing on two goes for miles.

squaw update from the belmont shack!!

things are pretty fun up here. sunny as shit so bring your sunscreen.

set up for miss superpark is being constructed, and it looks nuts!

otherwise, im just bumpin this shit

God dam love Tahoe and everything about it.

I'll be up and leaving for a few solid months somewhere in Tahoe after the summer. Can't be doing this 4 hour drive bollocks I keep doin.

Summer in Santa Cruz, WInter in Tahoe. I love this shit.

im in south if anyone ever wants too hang hit me up on here

summers about to be amazing, already perfect weather just need some honey's on the beaches!

Trying to find a new job, but I'm gonna be in Truckee if anybody is ever around there, I live right on the West End of Donner.

^SOMUCHFUN hah
