Official Showdown Thread 11-12

Well another year another thread. Going up this sunday and I will post up some info. Anybody have questions or info post here!
 
This thread won't see much action, Showdown is lame unless it is a slow family type hill you are looking for.
 
Psshh...drew.. Anyways all the trails are open, they still need a little more snow to patch some spots. There site today said they have 3 features up, I'll check thenmovie out this weekend. And to you ^ this thread will see more action that your mom.
 
This is pretty true until you get to know the mountain. There is so many hidden, steep, tree pitches and tranny finders around the mountain. Not to mention the snow quality. The 13 years I skied at Showdown I got maybe 2 or 3 core shots. Im stoked to come home and shred at Showdown, not to mention the fact that they also have more snow than Hood or Bachelor right now.
 
Just got to town tonight. It hasn't snowed in a while and Ive heard the snow is getting a little firm. Its supposed so snow tomorrow (Thursday) morning and Friday night. Im going tomorrow Ill report back.
 
Showdown was sick today. Started snowing really hard around 12:00 and by the time we left at 4, we had like six inches on our car. Its the best snow in the state in my opinion (right now anyway).
 
Yeah I'm gonna have to head over there soon, for the memories if nothing else. I learned to ski up there on a field trip in 3rd grade and reading a few posts on here it seems Showdown might be a bit better than I remember it.
 
I skied Friday and Saturday. The snow on Friday starting getting really fun around 2 PM. New Years up there was insane. SO much fun!
