Restrictions:

ACTIVE member for at least 1 year starting Nov 1st.

At least 15 years old***

Positive member history

$20 deposit required and payable once in cult. $19.10 to be refunded once confirmation is sent.

Please only join if you can really put in the effort. This is a big deal for a lot of us and something that has been going on for 5 years. Only request an invite if you truly believe you can handle the responsibility. If you fail to come through, you will be banned.

We don't spend every hour on NS, so if it takes a day for you to receive an invite, don't be alarmed. More thorough instructions will be available once you are in the cult.

*** The age restriction is based on the fact that most people below 15 do not have the financial independence to buy a gift and send it on their own. If you can prove otherwise and can sure the maturity needed to be a part of this, please let us know.

Questions? Concerns? Message either myself or ERICA.MN (her name is a link).

As a matter of fact you did! Which reminds me...I need to find a VHS player as I still haven't watched one of your gifts, haha

Put it on your list of things you would be stoked getting. Everyone wants a VHS player...

I don't even have a dvd player anymore.

I'm in again. Is the part of the deposit not refunded going towards ungifted participants or is that PayPal fees?

Paypal fees... sadly.

The only way to avoid fees is by paying directly out of your paypal account or bank account and "sending as a gift" directly to my email and avoiding the "buy now" button. If the 90 cents angers you, message me and I will give you my email.

whens this form coming out

Nov 1st so that we can remove anyone from the Cult that hasn't added their address or taken care of the deposit.

I'm game, also there's no paypal fee when you hit refund, all fees are revoked, though I'm not against the idea of .90 being kept from everyone to be able to give anyone who doesn't get a gift a gift.

"You can refund payments that are Completed, Pending, Cleared, or Uncleared.

To make sure the buyer isn’t credited twice for the same transaction you cannot refund a payment when there’s a credit card chargeback associated with this payment.

When you refund a payment, we will retain the fixed fee of your transaction fee. To learn more about variable and fixed transaction fees, click Legal Agreements at the bottom of the PayPal page, click PayPal User Agreement and browse to section 8.

If there’s not enough money in your PayPal balance to cover the refund, we’ll issue the refund from your primary bank account."

When you refund a gift/comes straight from bank account or paypal balance there are no fees. When you do a normal transaction refund, my experience has been that the full amount is also refunded.

However we're using it as a merchant so that people only need to fill out the short form and don't have to have a paypal account. They say they will retain the fee... soooo we are going with that.

If you get the entire refund, Wonderful! But we're just trying to make sure no one expects it since it says that paypal will "retain the fixed fee."
