Post your favorite recipes in here. When you're out of ideas for dinner one night, you can look through this thread for ideas!

I'll start it off:

Pasta with Gorgonzola sauce

1 1/2 cups of dry white wine
1 1/4 cups of 35% cream
2 tablespoons of grated parmesan cheese
4 ounces gorgonzola cheese, crumbled (or any other blue cheese)
1 pinch ground nutmeg
black pepper to taste

in a saucpan, pour wine in on high heat until reduced by half, lower heat, add cream, cook until reduced by 1/3, add parmesan, gorgonzola and nutmeg, stir until cheese has melted and sauce is thikc and creamy

pour over pasta and serve as a side with chicken or steak, goes well with most italian red wines

in similar fashion to dave's recipe:

Start by cooking up about 10 pieces of bacon - you want them to be crispy

Cook up a couple green onions ( mainly just the white part) and about a cup of sliced sun dried tomatoes in some butter.

Once the green onions are soft pour in a cup or two (depending on how much sauce you want) of creme. Cook the creme down in half. While doing so, add some red chili flakes, chili powder, and pepper to the creme. Right at the end add the bacon to warm it up.

Once it is done, add it to some fettuccine and you will have a great dinner. I recommend you try it, its super good. And for some extra points, you could add some grilled shrimp.

does anyone know what beignets are? im not going to tell you the 'recipe' just seeing if anyone knows cause theyre pretty much the most baller food ever.

i have absolutely no cooking skills, but this is easy, delicious, looks fancy, and the ladies love it:

buy a box of penne, a jar of good vodka sauce, sun dried tomatoes and some fresh mozzarella

bring water to boil, cook penne for however long it tells you on the box. when theres like 5 minutes left, pour the vodka sauce into a sacepan and put on med-hi heat until it starts to bubble (should be about the same time the pasta is done). when it starts to bubble, turn the heat down and throw in the sun dried tomatoes and chunks of mozza. scoop some pasta into a bowl, ladle sauce complete with goodies on top. enjoy!

you can also add some herbs and stuff if you want. fresh basil isn't too bad, but i'll leave that up to you. tastes perfectly fine without.

Guacamole

1-2 avocados

salsa

mayo

salt

pepper

lemon juice

cilantro

Grrr. It cut off my whole post.

Anywho...Spaetzle is the best food ever. I can eat endless bowls of it. I make it a little differently though. After I make the Spaetzle I pan-fry it in butter until it turns golden brown so when you eat it is has a bit of a crunch but still soft.

good, i thought i was going to have to post this...

also you cant go wrong with SPAM, spam and Ramen, and you are set for a long time...

i was experimenting with food one day and came up with this simple, but delicious dish. call it what you want.

1. take a piece of steak and cut it into little bite-size portions. [8-10 pieces is good for one person.]

2. meanwhile, in a skillet, heat up a couple tablespoons of olive oil on HIGH HEAT. you want it to be smoking.

3. add steak to skillet. you want to keep it on high heat the whole time. it will cook pretty fast so you need to keep moving the steak around to keep it from burning.

4. when it is about halfway done cooking, add a bunch of worcestershire sauce [sp?] and some minced onions and maybe some steak seasoning and/or sauce to the skillet. you want to add enough that there is excess suace in the pan.

5. let the steak soak up as much as the sauce as possible.

6. remove steak from the heat. LEAVE THE SAUCE IN THE PAN!

7. add a couple pinches of flour to the excess sauce to thicken it. then pour the remaining sauce over the steak.

8. ENJOY!

this only takes around 5-7 minutes to cook.

What!?!?!? I want a copy!!

I agree with the bacon burger guy. add some cheese and make it a bacon cheeseburger!

ramens good stuff too

good idea for a thread

creme caramel recipe

1 c. sugar

1 can evaporated milk

1 can condensed milk

4 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

Preheat

oven to 350 degrees. Put sugar in a small pan and cook until melted and

transparent. Pour this caramel into a mold, turning around quickly to

coat the sides. In a mixing bowl, blend evaporated milk, condensed

milk, and eggs, with vanilla. Beat well. Pour egg mixture into the mold

and put into a large pan. Pour water into larger pan so as to reach

halfway up the mold.

Bake for 1 hour. Test with a knife to see if

it is cooked. Knife will come out clean when creme caramel is done.

Remove from oven to cool. Refrigerate in the mold until ready to serve.

To unmold and serve, put a plate over the top of the mold, turn upside down and remove mold.

^ Funny you should post that Mike, I'm about to go make some spaghetti, and I came in here to ask for advice...

has anyone ever done anything with steak and tomato sauce? i've got some spaghetti cooking right now but all i have is plain tomato sauce. i'm gonna try and put in some leftover steak with it and see how it turns out (probably disgusting)

heat up the steak, add the juices to the sauce, put in some oregano, basil, little bit of garlic, whatnots and you'll do fine.

This is a sick recipe. I made it like a month ago.

I panfried some chicken breasts cut into pieces in oil, and then poured the sauce onto the chicken when it was like 90% cooked. You let the sauce simmer, not boil, just lightely bubble, and then put it all together. Its so good.

FOR ANYONE WHO LIKES SALAD

I've grown up with this salad dressing recipe. Its incredible.

You need a good amount of extra virgin olive oil, and however much garlic you like to add. Let it sit for a few hours, and put it on the salad. Red leaf is the best. If you want add a bit of balsamic vinegar do it. I don't measure this dressing. But do yourslef a favour and make it.

chocolate chip pancakes are so good too. just add hersheys syrup to the batter and some chocolate chips.

hot dogs

1. get a pot of water and place hot dogs in water.

2. heat pot untill boil

3. let water and dogs boil for 3-5 minutes

4. take dogs out and palce on buns.

5. enjoy
