Official R2R 2013 thread

There was no livestream last year. They wanted to have one for this year, but not sure if that's happening.

Bishop/Mousseau be sure to do live updates...that was the real winner for Jamie and I last year (until my phone died...don't let that happen).

Where in the hell are the recap/highlight videos? I swaer last year 2 went up right after the event.

To those making edits, just post footage with no music. Id rather watch more footage raw than some dubstep scored recap.

Well last year Jamie and I did it, we put up 3 recaps (one quick one after prelims, one quick one after finals, and a full event recap the following Monday). The year before Dan Brown/Kapitol Photo did it, and he put his recap by Monday. I don't know who covered it this year, but hopefully there will be something up by Monday.

It's weird that such a big event such little coverage this year, no video feed whatsoever, no live tweets/instagrams, no event write-up (yet)...hell it took like an hour after the event ended to find out the rest of the podium.

Shout out to Tess Hobbs who is killing it out west. That is why the event sucked this year because the new person who took over clearly did a bad time promoting/advertising and did not do much at all to get people hyped on the event. This is one of the biggest events on the east and is the biggest rail jam on the east and this year lacked hype, information and advertising greatly.

Wait, the event sucked this year? I thought it was awesome. So many people killed it and the crowd was hyped.

I can't speak for this year's event but I can say that last year was fucking sick and Tess was a great host.

The event itself seemed like it was great. But the coverage of the event was mediocre at best (as I stated earlier, all anyone knew for quite some time besides those at the event was that Khai won...it shouldn't have been that hard to release the rest of the podium...and I still don't know the results for the girls). I got several messages asking about live tweets while I was sitting on my couch...wish I had gone.

Tess killed it last year (and I can only assume the years before), transition years are always hard, so hopefully it'll get better in the future.

YEAH TESS! she always did a good job with ever event, whether it was r2r or any of the ktown showdowns etc. i agree that the event didn't suck but indeed the coverage, and information about the event all around was kind of poor. last year they had riders lists, hype about the event weeks before it happened, and everyone knew about it all over ns and fb etc.
