Well, yeah... I only ride at like a 6.5. Why would I spend more money on something I don't need?

187 4FRNT YLE's

184 4FRNT Devastators

184 Surface New Lifes

3 skis I came so close to getting over the years, but didn't.

How do you like them? How would you compare the New Life to the YLE?

love em. The devys are my daily driver and are a blast in the pow as well. Love the rocker profile and sidecut/shape. It skis amazingly well on groomers/hardpack, has great maneuverability in the trees/tight spots, and its pretty damn smeary as well. super easy to throw em around when its blower. pretty poppy ski for natural hits, stable as hell for those rough landings and when you just wanna book it down stuff, and the bases not only look fuckin sweet but are fast as hell and are super durable. they hold wax really well.

The YLEs are my next favorite, much much different rocker profile and sidecut than the New Lifes. The New Lifes were definitely a surfy pow ski and were insanely easy to throw around in the pow but after skiing the YLEs a bunch this year, I definitely like the ride more with those vs. the New Lifes. its a much different ride, I think. They stay on top of the pow real well but allow you to get really submerged on those real deep days and you can also just smear the hell out of any snow type on them.. Slashing shit up on em is a damn blast. Definitely a jibby pow ski no doubt, its got tons of pop for natural hits too and you can barely feel tough landings on em as well. Very satisfied with how they perform.

the YLEs definitely perform a bit better all mountain-wise than the New Lifes but are definitely two skis id make sure to have with me when its bottomless.

Im not sure why this uploaded sideways, but whatever. Other than maybe a touring ski, I don't think I could ask for a better two skis to cover my needs.

how do the vishnus ride? I'm curious and interested but don't want them to be too noodly to survive the journey too the park

They have some stiffness underfoot. Definitely not the noodliest ski I've been on but with all the rocker they definitely take some more skill to ski than something that is mostly camber. I was skiing a couple inches of pow the other day on them and they ripped. The only time they were jittery was when I was skiing Mach 3 down Go Devil at Keystone below the park. Check them out man, they are so much fun.

Probably retiring the revisions and threats next year to replace em with something 110ish underfoot to clean up the quiver :)

Never heard of APO skis... You like them?

Ye, they feel great. One thing I love about them is that their tip and tail width is the same and they seem pretty durable. Apo isn't a really famous brand but Kai Mahler and Sammy Carlson used to be riding them and they even have pro models - Kai Park (which I have) and Sammy's Rise Up (two models for park and backcountry). I have a friend who has the Rise Up for backcounty and he tells me it's the best pow ski he has ever had.
