Official Park Update Thread

I went through the park a couple of times on thurday night and it looked pretty bad. I didn't even hit anything. I guess the sewer pipes and maybe a couple other rails looked alright. I still have yet to see anybody hit the big jumps, to me they look ridiculous. Do they feel better than they look?

I also enjoyed mad wny pow on thunder run which was closed and a bit of woods.
 
the jumps and park in general werent that bad today. im guessing that as soon as it gets cold and hardens it will be really bad.
 
From slush & sun to trains and cannonball kenny, sat was def a really fun day. i just wish the jumps were in a little better shape
 
It was a super fun day, and yeah the jumps needed some work! OH! haha, Cannonball Kenny was found kickin' it in the shop around 7:00 pm or so! Hahaha
 
Thats hilarious. I love that kid.

Unfortunately, the park was closed today, so we had to make do with the rails on coal chute and whatever woods werent all dirt.
 
i went for a couple hours today....they fixed, or at least tried to fix most of the features, but as the day went on, because of the temp the snow got real loose and ice started to show up on the landings....all in all, i think tomorrow may be my last day for the season because of bad conditions
 
Oh KB, how you like to tickle me in just the right spot.

Does anybody know if Holiday still has most of it's rails up? And what their spring rates are like? I kind of want to go back there, the flat down rail was super fun, as were the down flat down and flat rails.

 
I'd imagine Holiday's shit is still up, and good, and boy are their rails nice.

i ended mine 30 minutes ago at kb....i took 2 runs through the park, just doing some 5s thinking that this was gonna be an epic last day, then this group of 10 baby gapers come into the park and destroy every lip on every feature in the park....i was so pissed off that i left, and i have no intention of returning
 
So, as this weekend being the end of the season...

Come out to Kissing Bridge on Sunday, and celebrate the last day of the season, as well as likely the last time I may ever ski at Kissing Bridge again.

you best come back and visit. if not, i will be unhappy with you. especially if the last time i see you at KB is you holding your shoulder in pain after i had to help you to your car...
 
for some reason i went last night hoping it would be good...i was wrong...the whole hill was a solid sheet of ice and that made for some pretty sketchy landings.
 
Report from Sugarbush: well, the park's no big deal. there's three, and no features are really too big. the jumps are hard to get enough speed for, but they are shaped nicely. However... it snowed a few inches last night... and the conditions are perfect. There's never anything like this in WNY. oh well, sunny and 40 at the base tomorrow :)

if anyone wants raw footy, comprssed(but not edited footy), or an edit made let me know. my last exam is this tuesday and im not working all too many hours, so ill have plenty of time to mess around on the computer. The raw footage is actually a pain to send over the internet, but if you really want you can borrow the minidv tapes. Also, if anyone is into trapolines, mt bikes, or fruitbooting let me know.

Mainly Mt Biking. I'm at the local trails 3-4 times a week weather depending.
 
for the past summers i have gone to hunters creek, HV, and spragbrook. i like hunterscreek the best because it is close, there is a lot of varied terrain, it has many short loops, and not alot of people to skoff at my crappy bike.
 
Hahaha, Hunters is my least favorite of the 3, mainly because the trail conditions are not nearly as good as Sprague and Ellicottville.

I had a shitty bike last year, and noone really skoffed at me, so no worries there. If you ever want someone to go riding with, let me know.
 
ive been getting back in to fruit booting as of late! trampolining as well.

also, i would like to get my hands on the footage from this year if possible. i want to make some kind of edit. what would be the easiest way for me to get it?
 
today they had a little rail park at the top of twister as follows:in one line they had a flat box and an up flat up rail, and parallel to that a flat bar and a cbox
 
yeah. it wasnt too bad actually, except i thought all the rails except for the c were really sticky. that mightve only been because i had sharp new edges.

anyone up for starting a new thread for the 08/09 updates?
 
kb rearranged their rail park on twister. as of tuesday night, they only had 2 jibs. they took out the down rail, the box and the up-flat-up. the c is still in the same place, but the phatman/straight/red rail is paralell to the ground and only about 2 feet off the ground. its fun for little trixies.
 
they changed it again, so now on twister theyve got 5 rails.

on the far right where theres a big dropoff after the long flat, there straight phatman rail is set up semi urban on the down.

on the top right they have the red battleship, and after that they have the straight box set up like a butter setup.

on the top left, the have a flat-down-flat, then the c box is still in the same place.
 
just found this on the site. " Operations will be mounting an all out assault on the Terrain Park next in efforts to get that rolling by Christmass."

and yes, christmas was spelled with two s's on the the site. hahaha
