I never said they aren't worth my time. I just think it would be funny to ski away because I think the whole thing is just funny and slightly absurd. I would not hate them. I would not have anything against skiing with them. I just like fun?

 
well, those other 95 % might have seen the thread "how to get to chad's gap...", and will know what you're talking about. That thread is famous on ns, and i bet every active member has checked it out at least once.
 
And skiing away from someone who wants to take a run is fun?

The "skiing for fun" deal doesn't cover your ass when you're being jerk.
 
being a jerk can be a LOT of fun. Let's be honest though I probably wouldn't ski away, but I'm pretty sure i would not be answering with the official response.

jesus keep your opinions consistent. quit flip flopping back and forth trying to reform around your words to make you seem smarter/cooler. i don't care that your opinoin is different from mine, just state it clearly so you can't say you meant something else, and be content with it.

every thread that I've seen you have a discussion in you change your point of multiple times, and everytime someone points out how retarded/contradictory you're being, you go OHHHH NO I DIDN'T MEAN THAT OOOOBVIOUSLY, you must be stupid or something! jeeeezeee!

its gonna be really awkward if you go up to someone and they are like "what???" for example: people who arent addicted to ns unlike myself, may not have seen the thread.. 
 
i agree with this. there is so much light being focussed onto this site of the park scene. if you see a kid like this, you assume it. why? thats what ns talks about, ns is hugely park.

so if you guys have to bitch and tear a strip off of nomen here, shame on you. just cause we ski mostly big mountain, doesn't mean that we have to be on tgr and be granolas.

I chose ns since it seemed nice due to the amount of people in it. but these days i've seen nothing but hate here.

I agree about the hate though, but seriously TGR feels to me like it is worse, I lurke over there a bit just to get information and a lot of those guys are dicks.
 
reveal a different opinion is fine, but just saying that is dumb doesn't work out. If something doesn't apeal to you point out a different idea that isn't contradicting what you said you disliked.
 
well I think revealing an opinion that I dislike something is perfectly valid, and I don't think I need to offer any countersuggestions.

For example, this thread is about this call out response thing... I said, "hey, are you on NS?" which IS an alternative to the callout, and then I expressed my view that I think it's silly to have a callout by saying that I would ski away from someone who does it to me, which might be construed by some, like myself, as funny, and also a worthwhile post.

So I don't really see a problem.

Well if you are a hippie, then im gonna really hypocritical today have way more of a hippie day than you are because I'm going to Haight Street in San Francisco today, the heart of the hippie movement. it's probably just because i'm not "in" on it or something, but I hate reading the tgr forums just because of how they call each other maggots or whatever it is. plus one of my least favorite things is people who think they're better than you because their skis are twice as tall as them... i'm pretty much a park rat though so I guess that's just why I like it here. as for this callout/response I can guarantee I wont be able to remember it exists if anyone tries to do it with me, but I'll try.
 
i used this callout response last sunday up at baker. i got on a chair with some dude, twintips, sag, typical ns look, i was like "do you know how to get to chads gap from the bottom of alta?" he said, ski patrol blew it up. we had a good chuckle about it, and i skiied with him for the rest of the day, nice guy, im glad this actually works!
 
haha man..people sure do have some pretty gnarly opinions. ns is a place for everyone to just sit back and discuss the sport we all love..i don't know it seems like there is just a lot of hate in this thread
 
Sounds like a pretty sick idea to me... cant wait to try it out.
On the other hand... I dont know where all this hate on Nomenstevens is coming from... he is one of the most amicable people on this site... and anyone that has 20K+ posts clearly doesnt hate this place...

 
This needs get to sticked with like a read here thingy. Ive tried the callout on a NS member and they had no idea what i was talking about.
