Official NFL 2012-2013 Thread

This superbowls gonna suck, these 3 teams are really lame. I wish Atlanta made it.

I would like SF if I wasn't still pissed at Harbaugh or benching smith

If you're an NFL player you should be scared for your life at all times. It's crazy how dangerous it is.

Fair trade for that money? I'm not so sure

and the hit on pitta earlier by mayooo.

even tho the hawks are out, iv found these last two games pretty entertaining.

also the falcons are were hugely over rated, just like denver.

He really did get knocked the fuck out. I like how the announcers aren't commenting on it at all, it looks like he knocked it out himself lol

Changes for the Patriots next year:

Lose Welker. I've had it with the fucking drops and Edelman has shown he can fill the role.

Get a linebacker that can cover. This means getting rid of Hightower or Spikes. Someone who can cover big fast tight ends.

Get a big, physical WR that gives us a deep ball and something on the outside of the field. Lloyd was a start but didn't quite do either of these things.

Lose Gregory for a bigger saftey that can smack people and get up in the box, Mccourty is capable of the cover 1

fucking cunt whore bitch tits fuck cunt bitch.

so pats are done, fuck. please 49ers get it for randy (sry aidan).

couldnt agree more with the guy some posts up. pats tried so hard to establish this big, physical group that wont be run over in january. well that worked, but neither mayo nor spikes can cover eligible receivers well enough in the open field.

that can probably be solved with a bigger safety opposing to mccourty though.

and yes, they need a deep threat, but one of the reasons they dismissed moss and went to this underneath TE thing was the lack of oline consistency. over the last few years, a lot of changes had to be made and they usually look good for those 1-3 seconds they are protecting, because its really a quick-pass offense. i would say the offense is fine if they continue to work on their rungame.

its really splitting hairs to talk like that about a team with so much success, because it is so tough to win the super bowl, and if you have one bad game, youre done.

ravens simply played the pats waay too often, they knew everything. pats had to fight for every yard, there was literally never anyone open, expect for the TD. brady played ok. he had to hit small windows a lot and obviously was off on a couple throws, but thats part of the game. he wasnt awful, the defense just didnt give him anything.

changing point imo was talibs injury. he blanketed boldin on two throws. after that, noone could stop boldin.

as good as the pats are, they couldnt overcome losing their biggest deep threat (and the best blocking TE in the league) in gronkowski, their best pass rusher and their best DB.

its not an excuse, but has just taken into account before bashing such a successful franchise. obviously, sometimes teams overcome injuries, but that doesnt mean that they have no effects.

on the other hand i am glad that the media has this now. they can salivate over the harbowl I now two weeks and the elephant is out of the room. its the new "manning" bowl thing that the media starts to brabble about during the playoffs.

hey-dude-its-me, 43. also the results apparently aren't made public and Goodell gets really pissed when they get released.

Jamarcus Russel is on the comeback trail haha we'll see how that goes, I can't imagine him having much value as a clipboard holder

A seemingly uninjured Gonzalez isn't playing the Pro Bowl which seems kind of odd for what is supposed to be his last season

I don't get the point of all these lawsuits. From the time these dudes were kids they've worn helmets and smacked each other around at full speed. How the hell is that not gonna fuck your brain up? I get that the NFL may have denied this longer than they should have, the science doesn't say it will, or whatever you reason you may think up. But there is noway in my opinion that someone can play that sport for that long and not recognize the negative impacts it has on your health.

As skiers we all know there are inherent risks involved with the sport we love. Some of us choose to keep skiing because we love it and some find a way to make it into a job. Imagine if Tanner had killed himself after he overshoot the jump in 09, should his family be able to sue TGR and Oakley because they helped support his lifestyle? Same thing could be said for boxers. Your taking punches to the face, of course that is gonna fuck you up.

Obviously, I feel terrible for his family, but let's be honest, football has allowed Seau to make money beyond his wildest dreams, he probably never would have met his wife had he not played, and he was a fucking badass while doing it. Don't know what the answer to the problem is, but imo you sign up to play football full well knowing it will take years off your life, but you will have a damn good one while your playing.

^^its simply because there is this organisation which can "easily" be held responsible.

the comparison to skiing doesnt really hold, because i am pretty sure that the athletes have to sign something that voids any compensation claims resulting from injury.

its this funny system with unions, the only part where the US are communist as fuck, and they are fighting because the employer didnt provide a safe workplace.

i am not saying i dont agree with you, but this weird structure of american pro sports has some consequences. strikes, lockouts and also such lawsuits.

The denial thing and the fact that they aren't giving shit in terms of healthcare to the players is what I take issue with. So many guys are dying poor as fuck because of it.

That would only work if Hester could catch.

And weve had enough trouble with the player we already have named J'Marcus. I dont need another one.

don't give me shit for missing this when it apparently circulated. i dont go on facebook.

so this is the first time ive seen this. and putting aside the comparison to wilson, just based on the kaepernick photo alone...he is now my least favorite player in the NFL. Seriously so douchey! I actually liked him ok before I saw this.

reaching hard for what? saw a photo of him wearing that shirt and kissing his bicep and think he's a douchebag.

That's fine. I just think that kissing your bicep, coining it "kaepernicking," making a shirt that says kaepernicking on it and taking that photo, and then trademarking the term kaepernicking and attempting to patent the bicep-kiss-move is a little egotistical and douchey. But I guess that's just my opinion. I don't think it makes me weak minded.

well it was a pretty good year, lots of excitement. glad ravens got the w, was a pretty good superbowl in the second half.

stoked for next season, whose ready to get shat on by the hawks?

idk man he was putting in pretty minimal effort on that interception and the other near-interception.

Im just pumped that the Chiefs are getting Leon Sandcastle
