Official NFL 2012-2013 Thread

looks like there's supposed to be a storm moving in over Atlanta that may have us watching a game in the rain. Mwahahahahaha!

That interception shouldve been called back, decker got fucking tackled before the ball hit his hands...

I mean, its a big deal, theyve won 10 in a row. The broncos are obviously one of the best teams right now, they're favorited the highest out of every team to win the super bowl.

And there was definitely a PI on that play, he woudlve caught it if the defended wasn't pulling down on his arms.

I mean ya we do, but i like seeing some bumping and physical play. its fucking football, some games have been called waaaayyy to closely.

Yeah the ravens pts are based off three single plays, they should have 0pts if denver didnt fuck up those 3 plays.

Oh my god. 4th stupid preventable touchdown by the ravens. Broncos deserve to lose this game, they are blowing it.

^ahahahaha, yeah ray lewis is pretty dramatic.

What a fun game to watch. Was going for the Ravens- predicted them to win so I move ahead in my work bracket. Woo hoo.

Alright, so...I never thought I'd route for the 49ers, but here we go....

thank god we actually played the playoffs and didnt just ship the lombardi trophy to denver like all suggested.

denver fans can look on the other side as well: 14 points were special teams scores. i am not saying they werent deserved, but the offense doesnt have that "it"-factor. they cannot stretch the field and they cannot run it when the defense knows they have to.

i dont like both teams, but the ravens won fair and square.

its not just about those missed tackles/missed assignments/misjudged balls. there was NO pressure. denver played a good portion of the game with the lead, and dumervil and von miller werent able to provide that ONE play. there is the problem. the biggest strength (i know that manning plays on that team) was non-existent. thats how you lose.

Fuck all you guys hating on the Ravens. Ray Lewis has played for the Ravens for 17 years, he has every right to be emotional and dramatic after all this. The Ravens deserved to win. I don't even see how you guys think all of the Ravens' touchdowns were bullshit when the Broncos had two kick/punt return touchdowns. Oh, and Joe Flacco is a top QB.

He outplayed Brady in the Championship and he just outplayed Manning. He has led his fair share of 4th quarter comebacks and last year, if it weren't for his receivers, they would've beaten the Patriots. It wouldn't have even come down to Cundiff's field goal if the receivers would've caught the ball in the end zone. His three touchdown passes today were all great passes, there is no denying that. And you don't go to the AFC Championships three years in a row without a top QB.

Ehh, I don't really like to be nitpicky against professional athletes because obviously I couldn't do it, but that last desperate heave had way to much air under it and just had AWFUL judgement by the safety.

The safety was off balance because he wasn't running straight down the field with the receiver. Joe read that along with the fact that the corner stopped chasing it and he threw it far enough to get it over the off-balance safety. Sure, there was a lot of luck to it, but Flacco can throw the deep ball as well as any other QB, which is why I don't believe it was all luck.

so why would the corner stop chasing? because he is responsible for underneath coverage, taking away the comeback/out which would allow them to stop the clock. the safety had literally NOTHING else to do than watch jones, given there were two other guys playing deep thirds. he just misjudged it, from the start. and as the other guy said, it was actually underthrown.

dont make that play better than it really was, especially not on flaccos part. the best thing about it was that he avoided the killer-sack, and he pretty much hoped for an incompletion, bringing up 4th and 3 and they wouldve been still alive. that i give him.

deserved win overall. there is no denying. but flacco is just too streaky, and as a ravens fan you will probably admit that. but he tends to have good streaks in january, so cant really argue with that.

I can't deny anything you said. But the reason it was so poorly judged was because he was late with chasing Jones. And that's why Joe threw it, he realized that Jones had more than a few steps on the safety. And sure it was underthrown, but he threw the ball 55 yards down field in extremely cold weather. That's by no means easy. But yeah he is streaky, especially away. But I trust Joe leading 4th quarter drives, and I definitely trust him in the playoffs. Any losses the Ravens have had in the playoffs over the past 3 seasons have not been Joe's fault. Against both the Steelers in 2011 and the Pats in 2012, Joe led great drives that his receivers ruined for him.

we agree pretty much.

kind of scared now. like the pats are "my" AFC team when the chargers are out and these ravens have a lot of stuff to rectify from last year. of course its nice that the pats COULD have the home game (IF THEY WIN AGAINST HOUSTON, NEVER TAKE THAT FOR GRANTED), but the ravens will be amped up, whereas the broncos were a tad overrated and lost a game with 14 special teams points.

kind of like the niners for randy moss (sorry aidan) and some other reasons, but also like the seahawks. idk, its just fun to watch a good defense go at it. hopefully its seahawks-49ers in the NFC championship game.

packers, suck it. so, you "beat yourselves" again? why do you keep doing that? no, seriously, thats when you do not admit your mistakes and think you can ride the same system for 3-4 years. look at how the pats changed their offensive and defensive systems over the last 10 years. the pats last year didnt say "well, ok, our offense is good enough, we just beat ourselves in the super bowl". they perfected the no-huddle, even though their offense was already good. they got a ground game going, because you cannot rely all the time on your quarterback. also not on rodgers. i mean he is good, but i dont get how the media consistently puts him so far ahead of all other QBs in the league. he holds the ball too long if his first reads are covered and almost NEVER throws the ball over a receivers head OOB when still in the pocket.

Maybe I'm just bitter about thanksgiving but I've come across some douchey Houston fans. Oh well. God Brady will finally take them out once and for all.

yea, I think a lot of their fans actually turned against them late in the season. Well not really turned against, but stopped believing in them.I think Patriots fans are a lot worse especially considering their team stole all 3 trophies.
