Official NFL 2012-2013 Thread

honestly, i dont see it. ok the lions were good last year but they are just too inconsistent.

lions were horrible at running the football over the last few years. the 49ers are good at stopping the run in general, so they will be able to do so against the lions with a guy less in the box and put 2 guys on megatron the whole game.

yeah. so much for that.

awful game from the offenses. green bay receivers drop anything. the bears oline cant block shit.

i dont like the packers, but the fake FG was a gutsy call.

so i almost liked the packers,

but then aj hawk flopped like christiano fucking ronaldo on a mild push right over a fucking 3 ft high pile. dude should be checking out the 2014 high jump contest. green bay receivers cry a little bit much for flags. i mean i play soccer also and hate how football fans always call soccer a faker/flopper/pussy sport, and then you see stuff like this.

also dont like how cutler deals with his oline. he talks down to them like he is the fucking messiah. but he does nothing to back it up. that pick, omg, (ok it was due to pressure) but it was a horrible ball

Im fairly sure most high schools could produce a better left tackle than Jamarcus Webb. Infuriating that this is still the best the Bears can offer at that position.

As for Cutty yelling at his line, considering the pressure and hits he deals with day in and day out for 3 straight seasons, I dont blame him in the slightest. This was supposed to be fixed now that we were done with the Martz, qb killing offense, but no, same old same old.

Marshall should have caught that pass though. Second pick was also a terrible throw. First slightly less so.

Hope Forte will be alright, I dont like seeing him go down with an injury.

already have the packers game wrong.

but it was more wishful thinking, although the bears definitely had a chance overall, but played horribly on offense.

apparently there are insider reports that cutler needs to chill out or the team is going to turn on him

and how is plaxico not on any 53 man roster yet while some teams have 4th string qbs. either the scouts are all sheep/colluding or they really are that much smarter than the average fan bc I would take him in a second, he still gets as high as anyone but megatron and had 8 touchdowns playing at the mercy of mark sanchez

interesting and agreed on both parts respectively.

i mean, when you look at a guy like vick (who also will have to play better or he will be the odd man out next year) who got almost killed by his line vs the browns. obviously, he said afterwards that he let his teammates down and stuff, but he was trying to win this game a little harder than cutler did yesterday. the biggest play was when vick scrambled 10 yds, got a free shot by the strong safety and a defensive tackle, fumbled and recovered it. i guess that are plays where the other guys rally behind a QB, no matter how bad the game was.

His teams gonna turn on him and what? Let him get sacked more? Its not even the whole O line (minus Garza's blown snap last night, though some of that is getting plays in late which happens constantly), its just that gaping hole at LT. Im sorry, I normally hate princess players, and maybe its just because Im a Bears fan and Cutty has a hell of an arm, but I think its 100% justified. The dude has gotten KILLED for 3 years straight. Like most sacked QB in the NFL for 3 years straight.

First I just want to say I am a vikings fan 100%.....second I am also a fan of who ever plays the packers every week.

I was let down by the bears I thought they would go in there heads held high after throttling a poor colts squad and take that game from green bay. Now that proved to me that the colts are just really that bad, that they allowed 40 points to the bears.

Then again Cutler is the most streaky QB in the NFL....he can be the best quarterback in the leauge...and he can be the absolute worst quarterback....and I hate his attitude, pouting, yelling at your own teammates isn't what a QB should do..ever, leave that for the coaches to do. He'll do all the yelling he wants but I bet he wouldn't go congratulate one of the guys who made a good play.

anyways, go Vikings get that 2 - 0, before we get demolished week 3 by the 9ners.

This week in football couldnt be more boring. Only games that seem good are the falcons, and ravens games.

then watch the chargers roll over the titans :)

no i agree. wasnt too thrilled by this weeks slate, except for the teams i follow anyways obviously.

literally no other game i would want to watch. bears/packers sounded good, but was horrible. i really like defensive football, but this was just bad from the offenses, not so much about the defenses being good. the bears defense was slightly better, but they are not flashy to watch. they make you dink and dunk it and wait for a mistake

Cant wait to see my Chiefs roll over the chargers! ;) haha

I love defensive football too! but I doubt we will see much of it this week. Very lopsided week.

so waiting for chargers vs broncos and chargers vs chiefs

could be a good division and the best team should take it and make a goddamn run. the NFL should see that there are some good teams in the AFC west.

would hate to see the broncos doing it though, because then people would be like "oh yeah, manning did it, this division is still horseshit".

kind of like the chiefs, so i could live with them winning the division.

not bad picks, but i (without spread) predict this

Bears at Packers

Chiefs at Bills

Saints at Panthers

Browns at Bengals

Vikings at Colts

Texans at Jaguars

Raiders at Dolphins

Cardinals at Patriots

Buccaneers at Giants

Ravens at Eagles

Cowboys at Seahawks

Redskins at Rams

Jets at Steelers

Titans at Chargers

Lions at 49ers

Broncos at Falcons

had some pretty legit tips last week but got gambled too ofter, only ending up 9-7. this week i go allin on a few games to righten that ship (bucs upset win :) )

some games are real toss ups. like chiefs/bills, redskins/rams or broncos/falcons. little things will decide them.

on another note, surprised to see that the eagles are favored. i like them, so i wouldve taken them anyway, but i was pretty sure that the betting sites would disagree. obviously, the eagles are at home and i am pretty sure that the ravens will tune down their no-huddle thing because of the noise eventually

I like this. Even that bucs upset win is good. That was one game i was having problems with. But not bad at all. Cant wait to see the denver game vs atlanta. Since atlanta tore my chiefs a new asshole last week, and I know denvers d fence isnt great either. Will be a high passing game, should be great to watch.

Does anybody know a site that streams the PATS/CARDINALS game along with other games!? My dorm doesn't get NFL Network

Yep 2 really good scores by him. Weeden looked better as well. The guy i'm playing in fantasy this week has richardson sitting on his bench, 26 points.

Thank god

my mom predicted the cardinals win. its so funny. i mean, we live in austria, so she knows 0% about football.

we kind of always throw a few names at her and for this game she said cardinals (the only one this week). yeah, me and my bro kinda laughed it off, but its definitely becoming awkward.

for this season shes 2-0, also predicted the SB correct. predicted the jets would win against the pats 2 years back in the playoffs (right after they lost 45-3 against the pats).

definitely will keep this up and let her predict one game per week.

on another note, CHARGERS.

oh, and watching steelers against jets is like watching hitler play pingpong against stalin. like you kind of wanna see neither one score a point. the worst part is that you have to choose which one you despise less. i settled with stalin, i mean the steelers.

i am so kicking myself for picking the cowboys. i had that feeling, but went the safe route because i already picked CAR and TB to win, so fuck me.

oh yeah, totally forgot about that.

obviously vicks first pick was frightening bad. i kind of saw the game go away there. but the offense allround (minus 3 turnovers, really noone is at fault for the second pick, i mean vick put it right where it need to be, away from the defender, celek tried to catch it and it got tipped, just bad luck) was great and they even got a run game going in the second half.

when you think that the fumbles and the first pick were all in chip-shot FG range, they left AT LEAST 9 points on the carpet. they have to change that.

but seriously, when you win two games with 9 turnovers, you might be doing something right in a lot of other aspects.

i loved how everyone was expecting the ravens to destroy the eagles defense. well apart from a one or two deep completions and two solid runs by rice, they stifled the ravens completely, especially in the 2nd half. i dont think flacco is a top-5 QB like everyone crowned him after week one. running a no-huddle on the road is pretty tough and the ravens found out the hard way. and they went away from rice entirely. he had those good runs and they went with flacco. they wont win shit with flacco throwing 50 times a game.

also a nice game to watch. they owned the saints, yeah the score got a little close at the end, but such a great game by the panthers.

the defense played good, although the saints are not in for the long run this year
