Official NFL 2012-2013 Thread

absolutely this. definitely a fun team to watch. always liked them because i played for a panthers flag football team before i played tackle. and since newton is there, all you can say is wow.

my two favourite teams (chargers and pats) have definitely something to look forward to.

ingram and jones lit it up.

especially jones was impressive, considering how he fucked up a pro bowl LT in 1 on 1 situations. thats not a scheme thingy, or a result of mediocre preseason play. really think that the pats have something there. he also stayed on the field on all downs. hightower wasnt as impressive, but he will definitely be a servicable option. they will play a 4-3 in a lot of situations, and i think they have a top notch linebacker crew in hightower, mayo and spikes. love also looked good. maybe they finally bring a front 7 that others respect.

for the chargers, i really hope that this is the year for the pass rush/OLB position. when you think that you have a solid allround player in shaun phillips who can play all downs equally well, one of the best run stoppers in the league in jarret johnson, a quality pass-rush specialist (11 sacks in '11) in antwan barnes and just a goddamn football player in melvin ingram, the sky should be the limit for this group.

offensively, neither was very impressive, but just look at the saints for example, they did equally less. its just hard to find a rhythm.

anyone watched the eagles? really like them but didnt see too much except for DRCs hit and vicks injury.

Fuck being out of market and fuck not having redzone until the regular season starts. Anyways, I'm stoked I get to go to candlestick park to see the niners/lions in September. Twas a great matchup last year.

Lets go DOLPHI.... Ah who the fuck am I kidding. We traded a guy who got beat by his wife for a guy who beats his wife. Now we dont have anyone.

some weird shit is going on there. but unless the QB situation isnt resolved, youre not going anywhere regardless of who you are throwing to. nannee is not bad, i know that as a chargers fan and bess was getting every 3rd down throw anyways, so it might not be as bad from a WR standpoint

McFadden looked great, Palmer looked good, Ford COULD (not should) have gotten that interception, defense was solid. I'm excited for this season. Let's go Raiders

Bess is my favorite receiver for the phins, has been for a couple years now.

Im about to tell you a cool story bro. So I told my old girlfriend that I wanted a Bess jersey for a gift, dont remember what holiday. This was before he really did anything awesome. But I had followed him and knew a bit of his backstory. The guy sent a video from jail to colleges and got picked up by Hawaii.

Anyway, I asked for his jersey, she couldnt find it anywhere because he was not as well known as Henne, or Marshall who was just signed. So she had to buy it from some sketchy ass website that did not seem legit at all. About a month went by after her order, it never came, but she was also never charged. Then her parents called and asked if she ordered a jersey, cause some package with Chinese writing came to their house and was addressed to her.

When we saw it the thing was an authentic stitched jersey. The real deal, one of those $300 jerseys. She called to make sure she was not gonna be charged $300 + shipping from china because this was not what she ordered. She wanted just the replica one, like $75. The guy said, "my mistake, the jersey is yours and you dont owe me anything.

I have tickets for the Chiefs Raiders game again at Arrowhead. Hope the raiders are as good as people are saying so it will be a good game! AFCW seems stacked this year!

they have, i actually think that they could finish second in their division. lets face it, the dolphins are a joke right now and idk about the jets.

but i dont think that gailey can outsmart belichick like ryan does occasionally.

All I know is for the first 6 or 7 games last season Raiders were one of the better teams in the league before injuries set in. Better defense thanks to the head coach this year, better quarterback than Jason Campbell, and if they stay healthy they have a real shot at winning the division

idk if palmer is better than campbell, but we will see. definitely pumped for the AFC west though.

i play for the austrian "sister" team of the raiders, so i have no problem with them, i am a chargers fan overall but also like the chiefs. broncos grind my gears though.

with the way this division builds up and others slowly go backwards (age, a lot of time having bad picks in the draft after successful years, etc), this could really be the best division over the next 4-5 years. MARK MY WORDS.

i mean, who else has 4 teams of that caliber? obviously none of them are shoe-ins for the superbowl, but all of them are solid playoff teams, and really no other division can say that in the AFC.

Im really optimistic for the raiders this season. I really hope its the Raiders and Chiefs battling it out for the division like it was back in the old day. Revive this historic rivalry!!

Broncos are taking the AFC West and there is no doubt about it. The Chiefs are going to come in second and may get a wildcard spot, but that all depends on Matt Castle (who was a one year wonder when he was Tom Brady's back up, otherwise he really hasn't done much).
The Raiders are going to be the Raiders, aka Run DMC. If he gets hurt (he is very injury prone btw) than that whole team is done for). Carson Palmer did not look that good in the first pre-season game and it looks like he hasn't fixed his main mistakes from last season, which was throwing int. because he's an idiot an throws into double coverage ALL THE TIME. Good luck trying to pick apart Champ Bailey and Joey Porter while Elvis Dumervil and Von Miller are coming for ya.
The Chargers aren't going to do anything either. They'll be competitive, but as long as Norv Turner is the head coach there than the Bolts wont do anything. I cant find it right now, but the owner of the team said that the Broncos are winning the division. Thats a bold statement coming from an owner of a fellow AFC West teams owner.
Lastly, everyone else in the division is picking up the Broncos trash. The Chiefs got Orton and Peyton Hillis, the Bolts got Eddie Royal who is mediocre at best, and Oakland hired Dennis Allen as their new head coach. Allen was a good coach, but he's too young to be a head coach and as for him leaving Denver, I wont miss him at all. We got defensive mastermind Jack Del Rio as our defensive coordinator and I'll take him over Dennis Allen any day of the week. See, the rest of the division did a good job cleaning up the Broncos trash.

orton was last year and we used him to beat the broncos in denver. peyton hillis>knowshon moreno and he's our backup. peyton manning isn't lasting the whole season.

Is that what you're magic eight ball told you? Knowshon Moreno fyi isn't our starter, he's actually fighting to make the team. Willis Mcghee is our starter, you know the guy that rushed for 1,000 yards last season and the guy who ran all over the Chiefs at arrowhead last year. My money is own mcghee if it has to go between him and Hillis. Hillis had one good year in cleveland and thats it.
Lastly, we won the division last year with a qb who in all honesty has no business being an actual qb. So now that we have one of, if not the best qb to ever play the game, we should take the division piece of cake.

Hey dud its me dropping knowledge on you're ass. Broncos > Chiefs any day of the week.

you;re not dropping knowledge just misunderstanding what I meant and rambling on as a broncos fan. knowshon and hillis were both broncos draft picks, they got rid of the wrong one. signing a backup running back isn't 'picking up trash'. they won it in a freakish way during a season where the division that was lacking two probowl running backs. you haven't really said anything that shows nfl knowledge, like felination or other people are able to, you just sound like a fan who gets all their nfl news from local sources and for some reason thinks the broncos are the nfl's model franchise

there are not too much RBs in this league that are really special. and hillis and mcgahee and whoever are none of them. obviously, some are special in regard to what they do with the holes that a good oline can open up.

but we could go back to barry sanders vs. emmitt smith. what i have seen last year, the broncos oline was awesome. they rocked opposing d-lines, created a good push in the run game and that obviously helped in the "reemergence" of mcgahee. dont get me wrong. hes not bad, but a dime a dozen in the NFL. not really worth arguing about.

broncos will hang their faith on manning, obviously. i said, that the oline played great, and thats true, but only for a mobile QB like tebow. they were downright awesome in protecting him after he escaped the collapsing pocket. really havent seen anything like that, they never quit and knocked people to the ground from sideline to sideline, always giving tebow another chance of running or extending the play. with that being said, we will see how they fare with a QB that is not as mobile.

We will also see how they fair with a QB who gets rid of the ball five times faster than Tebow did. I speculate that they will truly enjoy it. If the o line were good at creating gaps for the run game last year, than that should in essence translate to good pass protection for a pocket passer like Manning.

congrats, you can win the worst division in the league. I dont get why broncos fans are happy about that.

your football posts are almost as bad as your political banter.

Manning didnt fare to well last night. Anyone want to make bets on how long he will last? I say not past week 1 when Harrison rocks him.

I dunno about that. I mean sure they don't have a team with double digit wins but they also don't have a team with less than 6. I mean Sure the NFC West has the Niners but they also have the rams. AFC East has the Pats but also the Dolphins.

literally been dreaming of football lately, had one that took place at lucas oil stadium a few days ago then last night dreamed that michael strahan was an actual giant

Bess is going to have a breakout season! Im hoping we suck ass, then Tannehill is made starter and starts to do well, but not too well so we can get a good draft pick. I hate when we go 8-8 after sucking ass early.

To be quite frank, Our schedule this year is pretty weak. I feel like our toughest matchups will be San Fran, Chicago, Green bay and maybe ATL.
