Official NFL 2012-2013 Thread

whats going on with the niners? they could be the all-hype team, a legit contender or a dissappointment waiting to happen within 2-3 days... if they get manning, watch out (if he is 100%), if they somehow manage to resign smith if they dont get manning, not toi bad but if neither happens, they have to hope that tannehill falls to them or go with someone who is replaced by manning. kind of weird that they let that happen. i know they offered smith a deal but now it seems kind of unlikely that he comes back feeling like a safety valve... dolphins are in a similar boat. now they lost out on flynn, you have to wonder how long tannehill will last despite his late 1st round grade

i couldnt really grasp the concept of what that suspension means. like if they (GM, payton, williams) would just not be allowed to be at the games or whatever.

so i asked my coach (former NFL europe coach) at todays practice and he said its the NFL's way of telling the saints and rams to fire them since the NFL cannot do that. they wont be allowed to work and the saints/rams have to find a different solution.

maybe it was obvious for everyone, but i definitely wasnt aware of what the punishment means de facto.

Terrible decision on the suspension.

Ben Roethlesberger got what? Like 3 games for rape...

Meanwhile you chop apart a team for being violent in a violent game, not to mention a policy that most teams have, not that any would admit it.

At least we didn't have bounties put on rookie quarterbacks. We just got butthurt and stomped on a dude.

And tried to decapitate someone.

tebow to the jets, couldnt care less. its a team with a stable enough qb situation so noone will scream for him as a starter too soon, but sanchez is weak enough that you can put tebow in without destroying the remaining team morale.

idk how "im-running my mouth the whole goddamn time"-ryan and tebow can fit together.

and fans will cry for tebow after like 2 quarters, because we all know that sanchez probably threw a pick by then.

jets just dont know how to avoid drama and destroy their team from within. yeah, sign sanchez and talk all the time how he is your guy (dont get me wrong, i dont believe that ryan believes in him), but you say A and do B.

holmes was unhappy with sanchez throwing the ball to him. i am pretty sure he will retire when tebow inevitably takes over because of sanchez' inability to do anything and the fans rooting for him all the way.

BOLD CAPS PREDICTION OF THE DAY:

TEBOW AND SANCHEZ ARE CUT BEFORE THE 2013 SEASON

if I were parcells the only reason I would come back is because its the first time in decades that he's going to a team that doesn't need a complete overhaul and he would have the chance to win some more post season games otherwise I would just relax and wait for the hof

i am a chargers fan NFL-wise but play for the second team of the oakland raiders "sister" team in austria. for this game i will be on the main roster though. /mini-claim

my question to all the raiders fans on here, do you even know that there are the "austrian" raiders (its not something too official. our team was just founded as "the raiders" and then they tried to start this marketing cooperation)? i mean it actually has that section on the raiders.com page and its consistently one of the top-5 teams in europe, but i was wondering if anyone in the states gives the slightest fuck about "us".

we have four imports, all americans. most of them were like division II-III all-conference players and stuff and one played at the university of nevada and actually was on the roster of the chicago bears.

its definitely not a high level by american standards, but if you are bored, check us out.

kinda disappointed by the uniforms. literally all are pretty much the same´, except for a few minor tweaks.

i knew those "leaked" ones were not what they were actually gonna look like, i mean the patriots one looked like a fucking uncle sam-parody. but some of those looked kinda nice and i was hoping that they could somehow get out of their own way and spice things up a little.

maybe you can see a difference in real life, idk

yea each team had a a bunch of different choices for how the want their uniforms made, I think its pretty sick that they only changed a little (our tv numbers on the sleeve moved up to the shoulder). mesh belly, mesh leg vents, flywire collar, lighter.

I was genuinely happy when I saw the Raiders didn't embrace any of the improvements, idc how little the new uniforms will improve performance this is professional sports and every advantage counts

... its fabric, and the stuff used before, was honestly not that different. A whole bunch of teams didn't change over, including Green Bay, and Atlanta I think.

anyway this isnt going to turn into another thread devoted to a below average team, Im still worn out from being right about every single fucking thing I said about the Raiders in last year's thread. That being said; when it comes to winning football games there is not a single logical reason to be wearing hotter, heavier uniforms.

pretty much yeah. what a fuckhead. idc about where else is this shit happening or whatevs, but this is just fucked up. like targeting the knee of a dude with issues there? heads of others and ankles of the next one? dude is fucked and every player who bought into that crap too. violent game yes, but there is a difference between 'knock that guys on their asses' (i hear that a lot) and actually scouting injuries and preparing a gameplan on where to hit which guys and paying a few bucks if someone does it

Ya the whole hitting other players in the head who have previous concussion injuries is almost sickening.. That could lead a player to never playing again, let alone death in worst case scenarios..

That guy should be done with football for ever, fat fuck should take some hits himself in the knee, ankle and head and see how it feels..

ik the lakers are somehow the same thing, but the los angeles vikings would sound just so freaking wrong. i cant envision that. they might rename the franchise into something like the banditos or enchiladas or (insert spanish word) lol. i would hate an expansion team though. the league is in perfect balqnve with 2 conf. à 16 teams and 8 div. à 4 teams. i know it wasnt aleays like that and actually far away from that but the perfectionist in me woukd hate the 33rd team

and on this whole gregg williams thing:

i am pretty sure they will ban him for life now. or at least they should. i am pretty sure that some coaches say something somehow similar all the time in all levels. and the NFL has to send out that signal to stop that on all levels and to make parents, players and everybody involved aware that this is inherently wrong.

calm time right now, so i will post my favourite under-the-radar play

post similar stuff that doesnt get any recognition normally, or dont whatevs.

on a sidenote, panthers fucking go, one of the teams i dont follow too closely but was always a likeable team. might have a bright future if newton can finish what he started. sort of a young defense, if they can find a good DL or two, they might be among the NFCs favourites behind saints? 49ers, packers and giants

if the law makers don't pass a bill and the vikings pack up and move....there will be a shit storm in the state......no matter how disappointing the vikings have been in the 52 years of existence they are the favorite team in minnesota and them leaving would all fall on the law makers...i'd go to the capital and protest for weeks.
