Official NFL 2012-2013 Thread

It's an honest question. A ton of friends have become "die hard" fans since rg3...I hate it. Fine by me since it sounds like you've got a fair bit of history with them.

If the wash beats seattle, and the vikings beat GB this week, the vikings will be in the super bowl.

Nobody is hotter, coming off 4-0 to tough opponents knowing we're going to run the ball 2/3 - 3/4 the time.

Then Denver will destroy us.

As a hawks fan i wish this were true. He has been on fire and the hawks dst is arguably the best in the league. offensivly hawks and skins are very similar but the skins dst has there work cut out for them... Especially if they advance past Seattle. Oh and beast mode mothauckas

Wilson has been better than RG3 since week 8... but then RG3 had a knee injury. Either way the question isn't Wilson vs. RG3, it's which defense can stop the other's offense. From what I saw on Sunday night, Marshawn Lynch is going to have a good day. The skins looked vulnerable against Dallas's running game and Dallas doesn't HAVE a running game.

nobody is hotter are you serious?

try 7 wins in a row buddy.

seattle is gonna be a tough opponent. but im confident the skins would run train on the vikings.

Broncos are the favorite to win it all in Vegas! This team is looking really good right now, hopefully they can keep the momentum rolling into the playoffs. This Hawks Skins game this weekend is going to epic as well. Their offenses are virtually the same.

nobody talks about the Patriots or Falcons.....and thats who I think will be in the superbowl.

Match up I want too see.

Colts vs. Redskins....I mean come on what would be better than number 1 and 2 draft picks going at it.

7 against horrible teams, only decent team in there is the 49ers, and even heyre questionable, Vikings beat them too.

But if Seattle beats Washington, they'll beat the Vikings.

I wish hawks coulda got into the 49ers position. If they had lost to zona hawks woulda been set. 8-0 at home aint no joke.

^Let's look at the Seahawks last 4 road games shall we? See how your theory holds up.

Detroit - L 28-24

Miami - L 24-21

Chicago - W 23 - 17 OT

Buffalo - W 50-17

Beating buffalo on the road doesn't mean you can play on the road. Chicago, ok, good win.

Detroit and Miami though? And Arizona in the beggining of the year? Your road record really doesn't say you can win on the road. Hate to say it.

Did i mention anything about the game? Nope.

Just letting you know why your last few games haven't proven the theory wrong. They've proven it.

I know it's been a while since 1983, but they streak will continue.

I didn't say you mentioned anything about the game, but the fact that the seahawks are favored means that oddsmakers disagree with you- so what I said regarding the point spread is relevant to this argument.

Furthermore, the theory that the hawks can't win on the road is quite literal. They went undefeated at home this season yet started the season 1 for 6 on the road. So yeah, winning the last two on the road does prove that they can win. Doesn't mean that they're likely to, just means they can-- the first part of the season was looking almost literally like they could not.

But back to the upcoming game, the Hawks are favored, the Redskins are not very consistent at home, and their stadium doesn't have a big home advantage (voted 3rd from last).

CAN you win a road game? Yes. Are you good at it? By no means yes.

That was my only point.

Either way, this Skins vs. Hawks has the makings to be one of the best wild card games this year. So excited.

I don't disagree with this.

The quote I replied to says "hawks can't win on the road."

And yes-- I'm definitely excited for this weekend's matchup also. sending my 12th man vibes, labels out.

My only hint of optimism is tgat tom brady wasnt a 1st round qb,, so this sucky draft class might have some underdogs

Reid to KC is official now, fired Pioli too.

Now hope that Jacksonville is silly and doesn't pick my main man Star Lotulelei. He is a MONSTER

Seahawks blue Friday!

There's a bet between mayors, the losing team has to fly the other teams flag at their city hall on Monday.

now do the chefs try to get Alex smith or Matt flynn? Maybe draft Geno?

Or do you just keep a misserable QB situation and put a qb in the following year?

Worth pointing out also that the Buffalo game was a road game for BOTH teams as it was played in Toronto.

Personally, road and home records aside, I think both teams are coming in hot and have a ton of confidence, I think RGIII is still a bit gimped, I think both offenses are pretty similar (strong running games and mobile quarterbacks give multiple options on the ground and both guys have good arms and people to throw to), and I think Seattle's defense is way, way better than Washington's. Lynch can run through the 'Skins D. I am not sure Morris will have as much success against the Hawks D. That, for me, is the difference. Seattle is simply a more complete and as a result an overall better football team. They should win, even without the 12th man giving them an extra two or three delay of game penalties.

I won't be shocked if they don't though, it's pretty close and who knows, maybe they take a day off.

^plus special teams- Leon Washington was chosen as the pro bowl kick returner this year and Red Bryant is amazing at blocks.

Yeah, that is a great point.

As much as everyone likes to rag on the Skin's defense, and we do have the 28th overall defense, I think people overlook the fact that we do have the 5th ranked rush defense in the NFL. Of course, our pass defense is absolutely horrid, like absolutely horrible. I think we will be fairly effective stopping Lynch, which will force the seahawks to pass the ball a lot more. I think the effectiveness of Seattle to pass and the health of RG3 are going to be the deciding factors in this game.

Hopefully Fletcher/Jackson can get some more INT's and RG3 is closer to 100%.
