Official NFL 2011-2012 Thread

hahahha I fucking hate the patriots but Zoltan is pretty sick being that his name is Zoltan and he's 6'5" financial genius punting in the NFL, his pic with George Muresan and Danny Woodhead on the right

Bears season is even more over now. Hope Knox is ok. Never wanna see a dude out with a neck injury...

so much better than making the playoffs...

not saying this is the reason but; there was always rumors that Todd Haley knew he would be fired before the end of the season and was basically sabotaging us with his play calling. Aside from a few mishaps on personel changes Crennel dominated today

Whoa. Never heard abut any of this, and that is a pretty serious accusation (not saying you came up with it or that you are wrong). But I find it kinda hard to believe that a coach would do that.

because the packers offensive line is completely over rated and they have major injuries on their offensive line....you just got to apply pressure.

brocos are comin out hot... don't know about this one. broncs will probably lose but it would be miraculously awesome if they won

fucking chargers and eagles, why you dont win just one of those easily winnable games more? eagles need the second coming of jesus and the chargers have to rely on the chiefs... and give k.warner or h.evans some credit, if i remember correctly, both picked the chiefs as being the only team able to stop the undefeated thing, espeially in arrowhead. if ypu can disrupt the receivers at the line with physical corners and apply pressure, gb can be beat and quite easily so because their d is not as dominating as last year

check some pages back or the nfl rules section for examples of horse collar.

i have even seen a no-call (dont remember which game) a few weeks back on a RB who was in the pocket.

if it was called, it was an error

it could happen, no question.

if healthy and on a good day, they are a very good team, among the best. and they would give a pass-first team like the packers quite some fits because they have good corners and a good pass rush, and we all saw what KC did to the pack.

i so hope that the eagles make it, because otherwise the NFC-tournament will only draw my interest to see the pack fail as i predicted a few pages earlier.

giants are WAY more inconsistent then the eagles. apart from the seahawks game, the eagles didnt lay a complete egg against a bad team, and even they are resurrecting. cowboys are the safest bet right now and that is saying a lot.

i expect the eagles to beat the cowboys by a legit margin.

anyone watching tonight? I can usually stomach any NFL game but Im gonna have to take a pass on this one.

this weekend should be sick tho, so many games on tv

Peytons gotta be happy, altho I heard this week that the Colts might try to trade the #1 pick if they get it which would be one of the craziest moves ever

huuuuge weekend coming up

/images/flash_video_placeholder.png(yea you've seen it a million times but its still worth hitting the play button haha)

also I was watching Leno with Terry Bradshaw as a guest and was surprised that I had never even considered to possibility of a Super Bowl rematch between PIT and GB before he mentioned it

can someone explain me the tiebreaking scenario in the afc west?

YEAH THAT WAS MY ORIGINAL QUESTION BUT NOW I HAVE RESEARCHED IT MYSELF AND SOLVED A FEW SCENARIOS:

i know that the chargers will stay infront of the raiders no matter what if they win out. i also know that the chiefs win the division in case all four teams end up 8-8.

but how is it when only the chargers, raiders and broncos finish with the same record? or only the broncos and the raiders?

MY OWN SOLUTION for the DEN-SD tie:

the chargers and broncos split their meetings (1st tiebreaker).

they also will end up 3-3 in the division (2nd tiebreaker) if the broncos lose to the chiefs and SD beat the raiders in wk 17.

common opponents record (3rd tiebreaker): both lost against NE, GB and both won against MIN, MIA. DEN won against CHI and NYJ and SD lost. DEN lost against the DET though and SD won against the bills. meaning that DEN is 4-3 and SD is 3-4 against common opponents. so if DEN loses to BUF and SD wins against DET they end up 4-4 against commons opponents.

next tiebreaker is record in games played within the division. again the broncos will ensure at least a tie here (curr: 6-4) vs. SD (curr: 6-5) if they win one of the remaining games.

BECAUSE the SOV and SOS (next two tiebreakers) are clearly favouring the broncos and i am not sure that they will change enough over the last two games for SD to get in.

BOTTOM LINE:

KC gets in if all teams end up 8-8. meaning two DEN losses, two KC wins, OAK beating SD if SD wins against DET.

DEN elimininates SD & obviously KC from the race if they one game due to my essay up there.

the DEN-OAK relationship is not so clear, but i know that DEN wins the division if they beat BUF and OAK loses against KC.

i have absolutely no doubt that the chiefs roll over the broncos in wk 17 no matter if they are still in contention or not.

i also think that they will be too much for the raiders to handle.

so the fate of the division pretty much lies within the bills hands.

i know i am a chargers fan but the only team out of the division could wreak SOME havoc in the playoffs is SD. KC could also be legit depending on how good orton plays (and i would wish orton that he kicks the broncos out in wk 17). but the raiders are fading and the broncos played good D and ran the ball, yes, but they also got lucky. straight out lucky. even DEN fans will admit that.

in other words, i am pretty sure that, now that there is a lot of tape on tebow, head coaches around the AFC flat out pray that DEN or OAK get in. i will assure you of that, just believe me.

yea the west is a huge mess, plus the Chargers are the only team with a chance to actually win a playoff game if they make it.

I wish I was as confident in the Chiefs as you are tho.

HELLLLOOOOOOOOOOOO

how is there like a 70 page thread on white trash stanced cars on here but an NFL thread can't even stay on page 1 during one of the most important gamedays of the year...

Two things going on there

1. Reggie Bush finally found a home in Miami. I feel like he has doubled his career totals since playing for Miami

2. New England's awful record setting defense is just doing what they've been doing all season long. Suck

can anyone explain to me how they had enough proof to overturn that touchdown by the giants? His elbow appeared to land on the cleat and the ruling on the field was a fumble. There was no way there was enough there to overturn the call on the field.

We would of won if it wasnt for special teams sucking the biggest dick alive. who gets a field goal blocked.....let alone 2!!!!!!!!!!!
