Tebow sucks, but as a Chiefs fan I love that two of our division rivals have thrown away their futures on quarterbacks who won't produce.
 
he has to work on his passing though. he has one good pass than 20 bad ones.

look at vick in atlanta. he is a superior athlete in terms of speed (which is really the thing that kills you as a rushing QB, tebow is bigger but youre not going to allow your franchise QB to knock defenders out or take them head on to compile 2 extra yds/carry) relative to tebow but couldnt do much because he wasnt a solid passer.

now, he is a good passer and all of a sudden he is a top-5 qb in terms of overall impact on the game, and i would go out on a limb and say that depending on the type of D you have (speed at LB, pressure without blitzing, ...), vick might be the most feared offensive player in the league.

tebow has a long way to go until he is there, but he looks legit running and if he can improve his passing and keep plays alive instead of taking off at the first problem (which vick got like 100 times better), he can be good.

problematic will be that to me, the raiders and chiefs have at least a step on the broncos, and the chargers at least two and idk if that will change in the nearer future.
 
it was the DOLPHINS. they should never have been down that much in the first place.

Celebrating a win against the Dolphins is like celebrating a win against the Colts this season. It means nothing.

I would be shocked if the Broncos win another game before December.
 
On a day that was basically "Tim Tebow appreciation day";

-he barely beat the worst team in the league

-he needed the refs to give him the first touchdown which was clearly a bobble

-he needed an onsides kick

-he needed overtime

-he went 13/27

Then again you guys are same people who argued for him to get the job so I don't expect you to be rational in your evaluation. All I can say is that you're stuck with him and that makes me very happy.
 
wtf was up with #51? he got all pissed for no reason, tried to fight the biggest guy on the field who couldn't have cared less about it, then gets himself ejected. that was a total meltdown.
 
he was getting pushed and shoved in the facemask just as much....the officiating in that game was absolutely horrendous..."oh, you have 12 people on the field and the play clock is winding down...we'll just blow a whistle so you can take care of that"...WTF is THAT bullshit! The game was all around terrible, no one should be proud of that one...but the Jags will cause they haven't won in 6 games....

No idea how in the hell we won a game with only field goals, or how our defense has actually been successful since Mike Smith left to go coach the Falcons, but we won. Hell yes.

Alright first off, your acting as if the Chiefs are like the fucking Packers. Get off your high horse man and give credit where credit is due. He won the game and thats all that fucking matters, especially when your pretty much a rookie QB. Sure his stats weren't the greatest but he can work on that. Lets compare Tebow vs Newton, Newton has better stats but was he 2-2 after four games? No, he was 1-3 which shows that Tebow is a winner. He's gonna find a way to win because he's done it his whole life. God dam critics of Tebow need to stop acting like he's in his fifth season and give the guy some time to adjust to the NFL. Once he works out the little the things and finds the game that he dominates at then I GUARANTEE that he will be a great QB.
 
I know, but I can tell by simply by watching him. Your average QB doesn't pull off comebacks like he did. Only great QB's do. Thats how I know he'll be great.
And Ben I know why you don't like him. Its because he's a j man loving right winger, the complete opposite of you.
 
Tebow will be a great competitor and put him on a team with a decent defense he will win games but he will NEVER be a great QB. He may be a winner but in reality he is a running back that is allowed to throw the ball 15 to 20 times a game
 
ya it's going to be another ruff week for the broncos, hopefully they can pull of another miracle! Tebow is a beast though and can take some big hits compared to most PUSS quarterbacks.

Im glad you think you have me pegged as some anti-religious dude. To be honest, I couldn't care less about his personal beliefs. But way to bring personal attacks and politics into FOOTBALL of all things.

I dislike him because I think he is the second most over-hyped player in the league after Romo. Hes played 4 games, won only 2 of them, 1 barely over an 0-5 now 0-6 team. He has awful throwing mechanics, and unlike the last successful rushing QB in the league (Vick) he lacks the speed. I think that unlike in college, his body won't be able to survive the beatings because the players hitting him are bigger, faster, and stronger. Not to mention no coach is gonna let him get hit like that.

Not to mention (and granted this isn't entirely his fault) Denver fans ran out a guy who in my opinion has the potential to be a good-to-above-average quarterback in Kyle Orton, for some kid who still hasn't proven himself and I think will ultimately end up being a massive failure. Again, I would be SHOCKED if Denver wins a game before the Vikings in December, barring a huge injury on one of the teams that they play.

The kid has drive, theres no question, but drive can only get you so far.

Wtf is wrong with people in this thead. Get mad your team makes stupid decisions, attack the Chiefs. I don't get it, Im not acting like the Chiefs are anything and barely even mentioned them.

All I said is that the Broncos and the Raiders have both made decisions on their starting quarterback that are going to fuck them over for the next few years.

Your Tebow vs Newton comparrison might actually be dumber than anything the orange name Raider fan has said so far.
 
I'm a die hard gators fan and I'll be the first to say that Tebow is a terrible NFL quarterback. He would be a decent AFL quarter back though.
 
I can see tebow as a good fit for a WR or TE, something along those lines. He has the build for it, he would be impossible to stop. He is just not quarterback grade material.
 
You guys shouldn't have won. I don't know why we were making the worst play calls on offense, and why our offensive line was so bad. But really, the refs blew that fucking game.

About 51, I forget his name... he should not have been ejected. The other player started it, and the other player was holding his facemask. That should have been a penalty against both teams, and cancelled each other out. That play was part of the reason why the Jags won.

Also, that helmet to helmet call where, I forget who, but the Raven defender hit the guy as he caught the ball should not have been called. That is football. It happens. Football is becoming very soft. That play also cost us the game.

And then in the end, if the ball had just bounced 6 inches ahead of where it bounced, we would have had a very high chance of winning. Overall, that game was possibly the worst game I had ever seen.

Yes, I am blaming it on that, because I am referring to the onside kick. You clearly did not watch the game. Had the ball bounced 6 inches further, we would have recovered the ball on the 45 and only been down 9 - 7.
 
You dont know that. 6 inches farther and the ball might have bounced the complete opposite way and the Jags would have recovered.

Also you cant blame the whole game on that one play. The Ravens played like complete shit. That is why they lost.
 
unfortunately I did watch that abortion of a football game..it was pathetic on both sides

had the wind not blown perpendicularly across the field with the light shining in flaccos eyes im sure he would have thrown better than 21 for 38

had the blade of grass not been in ray rice way all night he would have had more than 28 yards

baltimore fucking sucked, the jags sucked slightly less..if your impressed by the way baltimore played that game against a team that had lost 5 straight you need to get your head checked
 
I'm not blaming the whole game on that one play, I clearly stated three plays that blew it for us just like 10 minutes ago. Also, the play where they just blew the whistle and let the play stop and let the Jaguar player get off the field when they had one too many was complete bullshit as well. The Ravens sucked, but I think they deserved the win more than the Jags.

To the other guy, I get that if the ball had bounced 6 inches further it may not have gotten the same bounce back, but had that happened, we would've had a high chance of winning.
 
I just dont like when people blame the game on a couple penalties. It would be one thing if the ravens completely outplayed them, and a few bad calls turned the game around. I agree with the hit on the receiver and that it shouldn't have been a penalty, but it was not really a game changing call.

In the end the Jags did outplay the Ravens in this specific game so they got the win and rightfully deserved it.

 
That penalty led to them getting a first down, rather than a 4th down where they would have had to punt it. They later got a field goal on that drive. While one cannot say that it was game-changing, potentially, it easily could have been.

You know what else would have given you a high chance of winning? No sucking dick for 58 minutes of a football game..I guarantee you there is no other game in the history of the NFL were a team didnt get a first down for the first 42 minutes of a game and still ended up winning....FLACCO SUCKS

even ray rice sucked and I really like him as a running back

qft and for emphasis. i made a similar point earlier and just want to underline this once again.

vick can outrun everybody on the D except for the corners and a very fast linebacker or safety. tebow is a "bruising" scrambling QB type and if he somehow plays well enough to get a good contract, what do you do? you cant let him get hit all the time but thats really what he has to do because i dont think that you can not contain him.

vick is a superior athlete and a better passer.
 
damn wish I knew that was on...although espn films was showing the 'real life rocky' special about chuck wepner

sly stallone literally stole this guys entire life and made numerous films about it...great 1 hour special if anyone sees it watch it
 
haha damn we're on the same page, I dvr'd both and just finished watching them. The Wepner story made me really dislike both Stallone and Ali.
