well i admit that they looked bad on that first kickoff and during the first half.
but defensively, they did look good. vikings had ONE good drive and ONE good run by AD. apart from that, they kept him to a 3-ish average. altogether, they allowed 187 yards.
and the offense wont be the problem as long as rivers is there. it took them a little long to adjust to the vikings scheme, which surprised them.
seriously, the vikings didnt found a way to lose, i would say its more of a surprise that they stayed in it that long. if keading doesnt get hurt and you remove that kickoff return, the chargers lead this game all the way and win it by 20 instead of 7. i know this "IF"-thingy helps nobody, but thats how i look at it.
i dont say the vikings are bad or whatever, but they couldnt get ANYTHING GOING on offense and in the second half, their defense couldnt make the adjustments. its nice to keep M80 and VJAX out of the game, but that wont help you if you let rivers throw an underneath 5-7 yard route to gates or a running back all the time. take what the defense gives you, and in the second half, they did give A LOT.
