eagles will never win a superbowl.. so dont get too excited

hail skins. before you try and make a comeback... i know. we are fucking terrible. at least we got rid of fat albert.

Yes the eagles have signed a bunch of top players, but everyone claiming superbowl? pretty much a joke that all depends on vick having another awesome year.

What I think people are over looking are the fact the Packers have lost absolutely nobody, and when they won the superbowl last year they were missing like 8 starters...including who maybe the best tightend in the league Jermichael Finley....they will have everyone back...I'm thinking they repeat.....which pains me to say because I'm a Vikings fan.

as am I...

jus sayin we have won 3 superbowls. the eagles 0 (and never will win one)...

now we're not gonna be any good in the foreseeable future but the skins will return to glory. guarantee.

Hopefully the fins pick up Orton, aka Keanu, because I'd love to see Brandon Marshall benefit from a half-talented QB. I'm also interested to see how Steve Smith (CAR) does this year. Such a fantasy bust last year. Oh, calling it...Pats go to the playoffs, Haynesworth gonna be swiping cleavage the whole way.

the jets should probably get a couple cops and a parole office in there locker room with plax, santonio holmes, kenrick ellis, antonio cromartie....

I take back my thoughts on Brandon Marshall, apparently he has been suffering from some kind of mental problem. It's alright, I plan on drafting either Andre Johnson or Roddy White.

Nnamdi's gone to go hang out with DeShawn... so now the Raiders are screwed again lol.

Oh well. 2004 was their year... but the stupid tuck rule...

so:

i dont think ochocinco destroys the game. he doesnt shoot anybody (or himself for that matter), rides over pedestrians while drunk or starts an illegal dogfighting-ring (although i would say that i am a vick fan and he did his time. there are not many people in this league that make you watch a game when you dont care about either team, and he is just that, pretty much the only one right now).

he is just doing what he does, its not offensive to anybody, only to narrowminded conservatists.

and rogers-cromartie / asomugha

stoked on this season. vince young as a back up, too? ronnie brown from the dolphins?

EAGLESSSSSSS!!

i will now predict all 8 division just for future claiming how awesome i am. not to mention that i live in europe and cant talk football to anybody but you guys since 99% of people dont know jackshit about it over here.

AFC WEST:

1 chargers

2 chiefs

3 raiders

4 broncos

(i expect the chiefs to be solid but not great, the chargers winning at least 12 games and the race between raiders and broncos will be closer than it looks right now; division as a whole should be better)

AFC NORTH:

1 steelers

2 ravens

3 browns

4 bengals

(i somehow think that the browns will really put up a fight this year. bengals will need another year at least. ravens and steelers are pretty old on defense now and maybe only have this year.)

AFC EAST:

1 patriots

2 jets

3 bills

4 dolphins

(i think that the pats were underrated on defense. yes they gave up tons of yards but were good in the redzone and were way better at preventing points than yards. offense will be good and thats it, first place. the jets wont make it until sanchez gets it together during the regular season. yes, he elevates his game in the playoffs, but from week one to 17 he looks more like a white jamarcus russell (these guys have pretty similar qb ratings over the last years, look it up) bills and dolphins duke it out for last place although both will be better.)

AFC SOUTH:

1 texans

2 jaguars

3 colts

4 titans

(this will be a very close race until the end, just like this year. maybe the colts end up taking it, but what a lame prediction that would be. the jags looked good last year at times and the texans D should be good enough to take this suddenly mediocre division)

NFC WEST:

1 seahawks

2 rams

3 49ers

4 cardinals

(this will be a lame race from start to finish. seahawks should win it because they made a few nice moves, but bradford is hot, and maybe this is enough, should be close. 49ers and cards wont do shit due to their qb-situations)

NFC NORTH:

1 lions

2 packers

3 bears

4 vikings

(what a shocker, huh? i think the lions will be awesome on D, having no issues whatsoever with stopping the run and getting to the qb if fairley works out. stafford and megatron arent bad either, so maybe they can make that step. packers werent all that good in the regular season. yes they lost a million players, but outside of 2-3 they didnt really matter, while the lions didnt have their starting qb for a long time)

NFC EAST:

1 eagles

2 giants

3 cowboys

4 redskins

(eagles take that one as long as vick is healthy. young is a quality qb but certainly not a good backup (although he has the same style as vick has). their additions on D look good, but dont forget their rookie D-coordinator. imo, coaching is a lot more important in football than most think and i am not sure how that works out. even though DRC, namdi and asante along with some safety additions should solve their main issue last year. but still, they go as far as vick is healthy. giants werent bad last year and let one or two things go another way (cough a certain punt? cough) and things would look different. cowboys and redskins have all the potential to have a long, long season.

NFC SOUTH:

1 buccaneers

2 saints

3 panthers

4 falcons

(i admit this is horseshit but i will look like a fucking genius if this works out. i feel like this is a very tough division to predict, maybe even the toughest one. bucs looked good and if their first two picks work out, they have a top notch DL along with an explosive offense led by a young, rising qb in freeman and several weapons. saints and falcons looked like they took a step back and the panthers could win this thing or no games at all depending on how awesome cam newton will be)

PLAYOFFS:

forget about that. rarely does the best team win the super bowl. its a one-game at a time thingy destined for upsets and thats it. just ask the patriots, saints or eagles. i dont even think that only the top teams get into the playoffs. just ask the chargers or the giants.

what i am saying is though, is that if the playoffs were a best of 5 or 7, this years superbowl would feature either chargers/patriots vs eagles.

BRING THE HEAT!!!

this could be fun

AFC WEST

chargers

raiders

broncos

cheifs

AFC north

Revens

steelers (there winning days are over)

bengals

browns

AFC east

Jets

Bills

Dolphins

Pats

NFC north

packers

vikings

bears

lions

NFC West

49ers

cardinals

seahawks

rams

NFC east

Giants

Eagles

Cowboys

Redskins

this is my first year of being a legitimate NFL fan (only gave 2 shits about college football until this year)

and i have to decide what my favorite team is.

top 2 frontrunners now are niners and raiders since i'm from nor cal, lol

Yes, but my inner hipster wants to like the raydaz because most people round these parts like the niners (except los mexicanos)

this is a tough one...

both of their stadiums suck

both of them are gonna suck for a couple more years

if the raiders still had asamugha (sp) it would def be them cause i have had a man crush on him since he went to cal...

Yea he was a big loss for them. But they did just snatch up Kevin Boss from my beloved Giants. Overall though the 49ers have built a team more capable of winning than the Raiders at this point.

Threads. Im going to make my pics for division winners after i see all of them play a couple pre season games

the raiders play tonight and the niners play tomorrow night...

and i feel like watching football tonight.

it's settled. go raiders.

Hey! there is no rules against that :P. And I think it is a fair way on establishing your evaluation on teams. But in the end its football and no one really knows whats going to happen!

i know but then again its hard to say how serious starters are about preseason. like the guys that are 99% sure to start day one as long as they are healthy.

every team has at least 10-15 of them.

for the other guys its good, you see who can handle the pressure of being in the spotlight and who not.
