I've got the highest average in my class for 4 years in a row, does that count? Just kidding all my classmates are rednecks

I built my own computerI led the top 5v5 and 3v3 arena teams in TBC in my private WoW server with a 5k+ population,

I play League of Legends and at one point a long time ago had a 1950 ranked rating

I have a gameboy emulator on my phone with Fire Red, Emerald, and Gold on it and my Emerald baton pass team has yet to be beat.

Do i qualify for this thread?

my brother built his own desktop computer with some RIDICULOUS specs (i'll post em later), and he somehow did it with less than 800 dollars.

then he promptly taught himself C, C++, C--, Java, Javascript, and Python over one summer.

Dependant on exam results.

That pie chart that was posted earlier, I'm everything on it apart from the red bit. Gave up on WoW about 4 years ago...

haha a few my friends play pokemon cards competitivly (at age 22) can't say I ever have played pokemon cards though or battled someone on gameboy.

basically over here when you apply for uni you get either a conditional or unconditional offer (or a rejection)

Conditional: The university gives you set criteria to acheive in your final year at school to firm your place e.g. gain two B's or better and they'll let you in

Unconditional: You're in. Do what you want in your final year, they don't give a fuck. You've shown you're good enough already.

ahhahahahah i don't play WOW and even i know that's pathetic

for the record my brother also got to level 80 in 3 days with his pally on a PVP server, and proceeded to level up 4 more level 80's without becoming what people would consider "obsessed" with WOW

kid played like an hour a day.... he's a fucking genius

Asus G75VW with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 670m

90% sure this is my new rig for college/play. I'm so excited.

1000th post!

A good chunk of my graduation gifts are going towards it. If I didn't have the spare cash, there would be no way that I could get it.

My cousins used to play competitive Yu-Gi-Oh since they were little kids. They finally stopped at age 18.

Bullshit.

C-- ? Lawl.

"Taught himself" is very vague. I could spend all my life learning C and would still find new stuff near the end of the road.

anyone here primarily run linux? if so what distro.

I have personally switched back to ubuntu. You might think I'm crazy but I forced myself to use unity for awhile and now I love it. Only complaint is the auto hiding global menu bar.

My reason for going back to ubuntu is I have a feeling it's starting to go mainstream. Especially with this whole ubuntu for android thing. Dell might release an ubuntu ultrabook as well.

I love fedora but ubuntu is going places, that's for sure.

I run Backtrack for pen testing, and general hacking, and then Ubuntu. Ubuntu is def already mainstream bruh.

I play WoW, CSS, SC2, Diablo 3, and several other games.

I currently play SC2 Competively, and waiting for CS:GO to get back into the professional scene.

I was in a top raiding guild for WoW, and used to sell items for profit on Diablo 3.

I run a permenant Tor Proxy relay point, and have a server.

I also run a SC2 Blog/Site, A nihilism blog, a SC2 Twitter, a tournament ladder, built several computers, went to Georgia Southern University for Information Security (Equivalent to GT) but dropped out, build apps for the android platform, currently designing a Flash based game, and enjoy beta testing along with theorycrafting for WoW/Diablo3

I also attend 2-5 cons a year, such as Comic-Con, and Dragon Con, enjoy cosplaying, and a huge star wars geek with around 120 books from that specific IP

I also have a Space Marine, and Ork tabletop army for Warhammer 40k, and starting a Tyranid one soon. I have around 80 books from that IP.

My bed back home sits on top of bookshelfs, and at last count, have around 3.2k books at my parents home.

BUTTTTT Im giving it all up, and going to be moving soon to help with enviromentalism along animal rights, and do some sick climbing. You could say Im somewhat of a radical, and involved with ALF, and Earth First, if anyone knows what those are.

CS:GO professionally? Have you played the beta because I doubt their will be a big competitive scene because it just doesn't fell like a Counter-Strike game anymore. (IMO)

in what sense? linux as a whole probably has less than 1% of the market share for PCs. So mainstream as a linux distro? of course! but mainstream as PC OS? no way!
