blah blah blah refs is always the excuse when their team is outplayed by a better team. miami is better. lebron is better than durant, wade is better than westbrook, and right now the role players of the heat are even better than those of the thunder. i dont understand all this hate for lebron, he messed up twice, once with the decision and once with that arrival ceremony, thats it. since then he lead his team to two finals, won mvp, put up amazing numbers this playoffs and will probably get a ring tomorrow. and it wasn't like cleveland was willing to build a team around him in the first place.

And 90% of the people in this thread who aren't heat fans, but LBJ fans are fucking retards. Lebron is good but he isn't even that fun to watch play. You can't call yourself a basketball fan if you only care about individuals, pick an entire team to like instead of one amish looking motherfucker who can drive and make bank shots after 3 bounces around the rim.

using refs as an excuse for losing to miami- a true fan knows the refs can impact the game, but never truely blame them. but honestly, one of the biggest story lines all playoffs this year has been the disparity in calls in favor of the heat. every round people are seeing the heat get called for less fouls while getting to the line more. yeah, they go the the hoop harder than most teams, but at some point perception has to become reality to officials and heat fans. see what everyone is seeing: everything is getting called in favor of the heat

lebron is better than durant: as a complete basketball player no shit. i think its hard to argue against that and i dont think anyone believes durant is a better complete player. better pure scorer and shooter absolutely, but clearly lebron is a better defender, rebounder and facilitator.

wade is better than westbrook: this is like saying peyton manning is better than tony romo. no shit kid.

heat role players are playing better: absolutely. battier is shooting out of his mind and harden is being outplayed by mario chalmers. wtf? remember the thunder needed huge help from ibaka and sefolosha to get by SA and they disapeared.

lebrons made 2 mistakes: what about him and wade dogging on dirk? what about his constant media sob story please dont hate me...what about the maybe i should disappear commercial...every press conference everything he says just makes me cringe and think "Jordan would never say that, kobe would never say that, bird would never say that"

sorry i went off. point is...this championship is being handed to lebron and feels cheap. he didnt have to get through rose and howard in the east. he barely got by an inexperienced pacers team and a depleted celtics team that (hurts to say) shouldnt have been anywhere near game 7 of the ECF this year. now he gets to the finals and 10 of 12 thunder players dont show up AND hes gotten help from the refs the entire way. LeBron is a bitch, entitled and whiny. he is gonna celebrate like he knocked off the 97 bulls or the 86 celtics when in reality this is the easiest a team has ever had it going to a title. THAT is why i said earlier hes not a winner even if he wins.
 
While I agree with you that they had an easy route because Rose owned his ACL but seriously you're trying to discredit everything Miami did? Like I just don't get how ppl can say shit like this. These are best of seven series, you can say pretty confidently the best team wins each one. You can bring up officiating disparity but from my point of view the calls have been pretty shitty for both teams no matter who is playing. They are destroying OKC, who beat pretty much everyone in the west, and please don't bring up the excuse that because OKC didn't show up takes anything away from how this series has gone.

You keep bringing up events from last year, yes we all know how lebron went from one of the most popular players in basketball, to the most hated in less than like one year. But please bring up one thing this season where he has acted like a douche or cocky. This year he has acted more humble than any year I have seen.

If he wins this year and goes back to his old self then yea okay ill give it to you. But if he keeps up this attitude I just don't see how people can honestly hate him. But to predict that he is going to act like he "knocked out the 97 bulls" when there has been no indication he is remotely going to act like that is pretty jokes.

this is too polarizing. no matter what i say and what you say we aren't going to change each others minds and there's no right and wrong. this was just a week year, like last lockout when the 8th seed knocks made the finals...the spurs won with true team ball and a great, truly humble leader. the problem i have with lebrons humility he has tried to show this season is that you can see the effort hes putting into it. hes trying...that's the point. hes trying so hard to be an image. you never saw Michael try to be anything, he just was. same with duncan, kobe, bird, hell even iverson. they were themselves no matter what and you knew they spoke from the heart they opened their mouths. lebron is a politician trying to be something different than he has been. people scrutinize everything with him, yeah even his hairline, because they know he is affected by every word of it. im the biggest rondo fan there is, and i will openly admit his game is affected by the media and he can psychologically check out sometimes because of silly things, but he is not afraid to speak his mind and piss people off. kobe pisses people off and then tears them apart. reggie miller is prolly one of the best examples of someone doing that, and he was thoroughly respected for it around the league. no one gives lebron respect because hes truly too afraid of what his image is going to be

espols is a clown and doc rivers made him look like a lost 3rd grader. thats why that series went 7.

wades injury? he played every game, bumps and bruises dont count in the playoffs. pierce played with a sprained mcl, allen had bone spurs in his heal, avery bradleys shoulder popped out 4 times in the playoffs, steimsma has plantar faciitis....none of that is an excuse. in the playoffs you are considered 100% if you play. no excuses.

indiana should not have been a struggle. they actually shot pretty terribly except for one game and really only played well defensively when hibbert was on the floor.

i guess what im really saying is...the way the east lined up this year, with chicago being out and howard going down...even winning the east the way they did is underperforming. sure, they will win the title, and i will give them credit for beating the thunder @ 100%, but they shoulda been out of the east in AT LEAST 4 fewer games. they honestly should have had a 4-4-4 eastern playoffs and they struggled with some questionable teams,

 
ok i spoke too soon, yes you can all the charge calls, the flagrant on fisher, unbelievable man, pro sports are a joke man.
 
why are you so worried about the flagrant foul. Either way, it was definitely a foul. The only difference was, there was no one standing in the lane when he got to make two freethrows.

And you didn't think a charge was a charge. Points may or may not have been lost/gained there. So just to make you happy, I'll take two points away from the Heat, and give them to OKC. Now you're only down by 18 points!!!!!!
 
^to jblaski - It's not a matter of how many points a blown call costs the others team... It's all about momentum and it's tough to get momentum when the refs are clearly rooting against you

heat outplayed OKC tonight, without the ref's it would have been a much closer game though. The officiating in the playoffs this year was such a joke, and especially so in the finals. NBA sucks, it's a good thing I don't care much for basketball

 
forgot to add, can't wait for hockey season again when they get a game misconduct for flopping. Until they put some rule against flopping in the NBA it'll continue to be a joke
 
lebron and wade got a ring, the rest of the team got the feeling that they did something with there season besides run up down the court with the big three.

the heat played surprisingly well in the finals and lebron earned a ring. but seriously the whole team is still a joke.
 
him and shane battier are the only two im happy for. they legitimately took a cut for a team and contributed in the playoffs.
