Official NBA Playoffs Thread

I hate the heat and all they stand for. EriK Spoelstra just seems to sit back and watch his players do all the work for him. When a coach allows someone (D Wade) to yell at you and try to fight you with no consequences, the team is fucked up. Hope the Celtics take it to them in the next two.

you're fucking retarded right? Please tell me you actually have to wear a helmet to bed

How about the fact that pierce fouls out and lebron HAS NO FOULS when they defend each other all night

At docs press conference: “LeBron took 24 FTs and our team took 29.[/i][/b]We’ve just gotta keep playing”[/i][/b]

[/i][/b]

[/i][/b]

NBA is a joke.

Although I agree with you that the refs ruined the game (again) Its really hard to call this a foul on wade during real time..I had to watch the clip a few times in slow-mo just to see wade kicking garnett.

If anything this just solidifies my hate for wade as one of the cheapest/dirtiest player in the league that gets away with murder night in and night out..the league LOVES wade and has his dick so far down their throats they cant bear to show him doing anything wrong

Facts don't lie

The Heat committed 18 fouls and took 47 free throws. The Celtics were whistled for 33 fouls and attempted 29 foul shots.

In the final five minutes of regulation and OT, the Heat attempted 18 free throws. The Celtics took two.

Five Celtics committed four or more fouls. One Heat player had four fouls. His name was Norris Cole[/b].

James and Dwyane Wade[/b] combined for 35 foul shots and four personal fouls. Their counterparts, Pierce and Ray Allen[/b], combined for seven free throws and eight personal fouls.

The Celtics attempted 25 shots at the rim. The Heat took 26 within three feet. Both teams made 14.

Pierce, Rajon Rondo[/b], Kevin Garnett[/b] and Brandon Bass[/b] got to the rim 21 times and took 28 free throws.

James, Wade, Mario Chalmers[/b] and Udonis Haslem[/b] got to the rim 23 times and took 45 free throws.

In the second quarter, the Celtics leading by 11, Rondo dove for a loose ball, James landed on top of him and Rondo was whistled for a foul. James earned two free throws.

Wade raked Rondo’s face with 1:35 remaining in overtime and the game tied, 105-105. No whistle.

In the last 10 years, three players have taken 24 FTs in a playoff game. James and Wade are two of them.

Since 1986, seven players have taken 24 free throws in 11 separate playoff games. Nine were by players from the home team. James was also involved in one of the remaining two.

This season, a team attempted 47 free throws in five different games. Four involved the home team. The other involved Dwight Howard[/b]‘s NBA-record 39 free throws, almost all part of a Hack-A-Howard strategy.

The Celtics and Heat have played seven playoff games in the last two seasons. Miami attempted more free throws in six of them. The other was a Celtics home game.

In those seven meetings, the Heat have been whistled for 141 fouls and attempted 223 free throws. The Celtics have committed 165 fouls and taken 156 free throws.

In their last two head-to-head playoff series, James and Wade have attempted 150 free throws. The two Celtics who get to the rim most often, Pierce and Rondo, have taken 50.

...you're elated when your team loses?

Everyone knows the heat are the better, more athletic, more gifted team...its just upsetting that they are also being handed the game on a silver platter

Judging by this picture and over 50,000 votes..it's not only Boston fans that believe their team is getting screwed

This is for sure a rant and let me start off by saying I hate the NBA now because it is fixed.

BUT

If you're gonna cry about calls made against the celtics you are straight up out of your mind, the boston garden has the most home town whistles by far, so lets wait for the games there. Also, lets go back in time when KG straight up hit someone in the dick and didnt even get suspended for one motherfucking game. Saying the league has wade's dick down their throats may be true but pierce allen and KG are also taking up a big part of that throat. Also, KG got called out by Wally Szczerbiak on twitter last night, which is awesome cuz its true.

Moral of the story FUCK BOSTON GO HEAT, both will lose to the Spurs

PS Here is KG at his finest:

Doesn't mean we have to like it.

To the person two posts above, let's wait for the Garden games indeed. We'll see where that gets us. Also, if you've been paying attention to this thread at all, Wade and LeBron are both just as bad as KG, although their dirty play is more diving the moment they feel the slightest brush of anything against their skin.

i hate the heat. spurs need to lose. okc and celtics, even though heat will win due to shitty refs and spurs are just a bunch of scrumbies.

Nice, real cute bringing up something that happened last season. You present a most certain unbiased opinion of what's up with officiating in the NBA. If your gonna cry about some guy getting a low blow do it for something that actually mattered. KG is KG, end of that story. As for the Heat I look forward to the massive amounts of fouls and technicals that will be committed by Miami tomorrow night in the garden. If we do not see these fouls, then you sir are out of our fucking mind, not us Boston fans.

Moral of the story, don't talk shit when you're clearly in the wrong.

its saddening to see the amount of travel's they let go in the NBA today, not for superstars, not for a specific team, for everyone.....its changed the game so much

Hm. Celts definitely got some calls, but I don't think it was as lopsided as the last game in Miami, and there weren't any bullshit technicals. Anybody got some stats to back that up? The Heats' ft shooting fucking killed them.

i think home court matters the most in basketball out of all the sports.....the stadiums are loud, the fans are basically right on the court, and the vibe is just crazy.......when you are on the road and you miss a shot the fans are on your case like crazy, when you are at home its no big deal....such a mental thing.

OKC's was a blow out, I hope they win tomorrow to....it'll be some awesome games if it gets tied up 2 - 2

Just looked up the stats:

Game three FTA: Celtics - 26 Heat - 20

compared to game two:

celtics - 29

heat - 47!

Big thing with game 3, they heat only made 10 out of the 20 FTA where as the celtics made 20 of 26

Yep, so the Celts might've had a small homecourt advantage, but it certainly didn't offset the travesties of the first two games.

I agree, there were two charge calls that should not have been because the defender was inside the arc in the paint. I wish i was back in Boston now, oh well vacation isn't too bad either.

saw this tweet.

June 3 1992: MJ's shrug....June 3 2012: Lebron fouls out hahah

just want the damn heat to lose, though I'd like to see OKC whoop the Heat in the finals, that'd be better.

great ending, glad for once a game was competitive, these east west finals have been pretty boring so far.

I've noticed that everyone bitches about reff's in the eastern conference finals, but nobody complains in the west.

Spurs and OKC are both better than Miami or Boston.

The celtics make me smile every time I watch them with how unbelievable Ray Allen still is when he is hot and the insanity that is Rondo. OKC vs Boston would be nuts.
