Official Mt Snow thread

i belive that this years park at mt snow was the worse park that they have ever had

and that there managing was to blame not snowfall

but does anyone know what there gunna do with it next year?

or is it gunna be the same thing with a different owner?
 
yea it was deff the worse its been

but there truly wasnt enough snow to make a big park ware they wanted

they should of just kept diablo and inferno they were so much fun and were not filled with lil joeys all the time
 
i bet they will reorganize some of the stuff and hopfully make it better...wonder what the turn up of campers are going to be this year
 
i hope they do somthingthey should turn exabition intoi a HUGE park cause its just like canyon and that little dropoff that they get started from the mega mother hucker into a HUGE landing, tht jump would be huge ha
 
There park director knows whats up guys. He is in this for the long haul and I believe started just two seasons ago, so he is just getting warmed up. I bet in the next few years we will be seeing some epic stuff from him. And if I recall correctly when I met with him he was mentioning building a park that rivals those out West.

I think that is one of the main reasons they merged those two parks, because they are going to make it huge when the snow is right.

I dunno could just be me, but I predict big things out of them.
 
thats the problem with always new guys coming to a new mountain they have to get their "feet wet and learn from there mistakes" then they progress and become amazing park managers
 
Ken Gaitor-head of parks-has been @ mt Snow for more than 2 yrs-and he has years of experience in this industry behind him-also Elia Hamilton (grooming) has designed courses for the X games-summer and winter-as well as our parks at Mount Snow.

The reason "Name This" park didn't open this yr was lack of snow early on-when we finally got a dump in mid Feb it was too late to pour the time and money into a portion of the mtn(Carinthia)that typically closes early(before the main face anyway)...that being said the parks crew did a upstanding job with what little snow they had-the parks couldn't have been any better given the conditions they were working with. So stay positive and stoked for the coming season-it's gonna be sick.

yeah um this has absolutely nothing to do with the topic of the park, but does anyone know a kid named cameron schwarz, he is skinny and has black hair and snowboards, he was an instructor there this year
 
it used to rival parks out west untill your buddy started working. 2 years ago was the worst the park had been in a while and last year was even worse. i hope the new management fires him and hires someone who knows what they are doing.
 
i was quite mad about Name This this year, but i must say, un blanco has stepped up alot. but agreed, it still brings its thousands of gapers in a day. split inferno and diablo again, they were golden
 
i agree it was terrible this year....that bullshit rumor that name our park bullshit it was gonig to be one run from top to bottom for a park but it wasnt really....it was where the minipark is....hopefully next year will be better....i doubt if alot of other people feel the same way but im not gunna go back until i hear the park is good again

mt snow fucked shit up real bad this year. the year before wasnt much better in terms of inferno, but i thought diablo was really fun. but the year before that, inferno was the tits and you could have said it rivaled parks out west.

this year was absolutely riduculous. i get my pass for free, and i still chose to pay money and ski elsewhere a lot of the time because i actually wanted to hit a real jump and something other than a flat bar/box. yeah the park was fun and you could screw around a lot, but i couldnt really learn very many jumps at all.

the thing that really pissed me off, was that they advertised Name This Park like fuckin crazy, and then they go ahead and dont open it. they even advertised it after they decided they werent gonna build it, and people would think it would be open. yeah there wasnt much snow in the begginning of the year, but after january was through we got a ton. the least they could have done was bring diablo back so there was a somewhat decent sized of a jump. changing un blanco only 3 times throughout the year is not good enough.

basically i was really pissed off at ms this year, and they better pick their shit up.
