Innsbruck was so much fun. Can't wait to get back and ride there. You ever been over to Saalbach-Hinterglemm? It's way more developed than Innsbruck (at least it was back in 2017) and is a TON of fun. I'd love to get back and ride from Saalbach over to Leogang and back via lifts

I just watched your video. I didn't even know Innsbruck had flow/jump trails. When I was there in 2017 I only remember Alzer Alm and Nordkette. You could totally ride Saalbach and Hinterglemm. There was only a couple advanced trails (in 2017). You'll looove Hackleberry trail.

Rampage riders announced! But I would choose Dylan Stark in prime (now) vs Gee Atherton at any point in his career, let alone now.

I hope TVS can put it down this year!

New top section for the snowshoe World Cup is fasttt

yeah the shutdown the Nordkette Trail for no reason, but the bikepark is developing a lot with crankworx being the catalyst. they want to make this a big big park. currently they are building a lot of new trails and its getting nicer by the year apparently.

also, i just found this jumpline couple days ago and taught myself how to jump properly with technique. definitely a mission and joyful achievement.

made a how to jump / personal progression video of it :)

Oh awesome, another piece of shit MTB influencer. Fuck off.

Because you just watched the ridgeline IV and don’t like tricks over the canyon gap?

And I’ve been a Gee fan for long enough to know Rampage evolved beyond him long ago. Brendan Fairclough at least upped his tricks to throw down a couple years ago, but even he isn’t vying to get a spot at rampage anymore. Why is Gee?

Stark is fun as hell to watch. He would have laced a second run too if they ever had those at Rampage.

actually, Gee should just show face at the event and film ridgeline 5 somewhere nearby virgin as his actual mission. Let someone else take the spot.

I expect nothing more from kids who started paying attention only a few years ago. "I've been a Gee fan for long enough" For being a "fan", you're pretty fucking clueless LOL

i dont want much mtb. for sure the crankworx slopestyle events and occasionally some of the races going on the same weekend. so for me i’m most excited to see emil, riddle, and dj brandt. i guess i need to stop dreaming of a seminuk v. emil comp… hope to see some single crowns in the mix this year

Fat L today, bent my fork and front axle. Didn’t realize pegs were loose.

How bad is it to hammer it back straight? When I set it up no peg it felt fine tightened and secured

Jesus fucking christ. How about only allowing a bike tech to work on your bike since you don't know the first thing about it and you're too lazy to learn the basics, you fucking kook.

pretty surreal evening. Left my bike unlocked outside a gas station leaning against the window thinking I could keep an eye on it the whole time. Turned my back for less than 10 seconds and it was gone. After an hour of walking around I found it at a homeless camp/ bike chop shop and stole it back. Lotta emotions lol

get some hub guards yo. they are cheap as fuck. probably fine to just hit it back with a mallet. would try and hit it with a heat gun first if available. that seems pretty minor. i have bent a few forks right near the base of the headset and bent them back and got hella time out of them.

also, scotty chill. its a bmx bike. who the fuck takes anextremely simplistic bmx bike to a shop?!

That happened to me. I rode my bike downtown and locked it up on a tree but was so drunk i didnt correctly put the lock on. 6 months later I see this litle hooligan riding up the road at me wheelying and i tell him thats my bike and grab onto it and he runs away. The lady with the baby strolling by starts screaming at me and says she was going to call the cops. I told her go ahead this is my fucking bike and rode off.

For sure, I got it back alright with a crescent wrench, definitely gonna pick up some hub guards as rn I’m just destroying my bike on ledges, but that’s why I love steel bikes.

Chromag frame will easily be my next big purchase for my other bike, steel hard tail sounds so dope.

As a lifetime hardtail rider, chromags are awful. Ragley makes way better steel bikes for cheaper. As well as many other companies. Chromags are so stiff they rattle ur teeth out

I’m in a pinch and could really use some cash. I have a 1 season used set of Code RSC brakes I’d be willing to part with. Lines are cut for an XL bike and they are bled and ready to go. They have metallic pads with 60% life left as well as a second set of brand new metallic pads. Lmk if ur interested

Respectfully disagree - I absolutely love my Chromag Rootdown, I have 2.6 tires and carbon bars which def help the compliance a bit. I've done everything from bike park laps to 50 mile xc races on it, perfect complement to my Spire.

Never tried a Ragley but demoed a Kona Honzo ESD and Marin El Roy and liked the feel and geo of the Rootdown a lot more.

I think I could handle a chromag, it might be stiff but that’s what I’m looking for. Right now i have a meta ht from commencal, I love the geo but interested in other material.

Pretty sure I’m gonna go stylus just because I like flowy jump stuff more.

Do it - The Stylus looks sweet, I'm 29 guy on my mtb rigs so I can share wheelsets but got a DJ for the jumps too. A lot of their hardtails just went on sale direct from their site also...

All I’m saying is I see a lot of people jump to chromags because they’ve been in the game forever. Rn we are in the golden age of hardtails and there are a lot of bikes out there that might do what you want a lot better than a chromag. Check out Hardtail Party on YouTube. Steve is a legend and knows more about hardtails than just about anyone else. I ride double black tech trails on my 140 travel aluminum Ragley and I’d take it any day over a chromag. Better geo, better frame, more compliant and energetic, again all my opinion but it’s worth investigating

Love this bike so far. Only thing I’d maybe change is pedals, potentially rear freehub, and get a kashima dropper for looks

I just snapped my rear triangle yesterday on the lip of a jump (no crash nothin j in the transition of that shit). it's a polygon and contacting them is a bitch. I already sent them an email, anything else I should do?

Any homies selling an entry level full sus 29er m/l in slc?

I live in SLC, I'm about to sell my XL 2018 Santa Cruz Hightower LT if you're interested. It fits more like a large, sizing is weird on it. Upgraded shock to DPX2, new tires, GX Eagle drivetrain. Brakes might need a burp or bleed, I haven't ridden it since May but it's good to go otherwise.

Do you have an ad up for it on marketplace/ksl?

I DMed you. Short answer no, if you buy my bike without me having to make an ad I'll buy you TacoNTento or take $7 off the sale price your choice.

[tag=1388]@skierman[/tag] do you have any tips for racing an enduro… i already bought strava premium and a giro switchblade for those gnarly climbs, anything else i need to shred the gnar gnar????

Really trying to stick out another season on my frankensteined mullet Clash for budgetary reasons, but I'm tempted to see what this guy's bottom dollar is. Bike looks like it's been through hell and back (plus a possible toptube crack/chip).

If I have a really good carbon repair guy, does this make sense for beating the absolute shit out of at the bike park and doing a bit of pedaling occasionally? https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/3724849/

Or should I get a Giga frame for $2500 and build it up?

I like the DH mods you can do to the Norco, but no warranty would be sketchy as fuck.

carbon bad norco bad alloy good commencal good

Have them send you a video of them doing the tap test on it. But no, I wouldn't spend 3.2k on a bike that's been beat to shit and has an 11 drive train, even if only 1 year old

Honestly man, alloy is the move for the riding we do.

I'm also thinking Spire, but the chainstays in XL are downright massive. Patrol solves that issue, but I'm locked into 29/27 mullet if I go that route. Spire is full 29, which I would really like to try.
