i felt this was needed because its a longggggggggggggg season. just ask any mets fan or any true believer in their home team. feel free to discuss anything going on in baseball or just post your favorite team and talk about them and experiences of going to games this season and what not. i know this season means a lot to both the mets and yankees because its the last for the both of them in stadiums that are amazing and hold tradtion. ehh whatever just talk baseball

rules: 1. no trash talk unless you can back it up with fact or a reasonable explanation. just don't come in and say the twins suck and thats all. because thats annoying and immature

2. don't say the yankees are the best because they;'ve won so many world series and blah blah blah. i know its true but has nothing to do with present time.

as much as i hate to say it, new york is getting roasted by boston right now...our pitching is just atrocious and they're hitting so well. however, dice-k is (was?) overrated and isn't pitching well either. oh well.
 
i just won 4 tickets on ebay for 10.51. how can you beat that? they're upper deck at shea but whoever's been there know that the best place to sit. fuck stubhub, shipping is like 17 dollars. fuck thattttttttttttt.

word to whoever said the brewers. i like them for the west even though they just beat my mets. i went to the game on saturday. there was a few brewers fans around us but we couldn't shut them up cause we were losing. it was a bad feeling haha

wow this season is really crazy from the get go who would of thunk that the tigers with thier roster would go 0-7, the O's would be leading the AL east and the royals and pirates suprisingly competitive.

any where here are my bets for the season

$500 that cleveland will have under 90 wins

$200 that tampa bay will have over 73 wins

$300 that San Diego will have ove 84 wins

oh yeah and the METS SUCK go PHILLIES! we just Beat the mets 12 of the last 15 games they played. and for more met bashing Pedro is done Santana got beasted his last outing Reyes is on the DL and overrated. Pat Burrell earns every cent of his inflated contract everytime he takes the mets deep which he has more than any other player in baseball. The NL east still has to come through Philly

yeah last year you guys wrecked us but so far this year, we've taken 2 out of 3. last season doesn't matter anymore unless your talking about last season haha. the only thing that did was create a huge new rivalry and i cant wait to see it unfold. lets go metsssssssssssss
 
They're doing alright. Won 3 out of the first four series (but had that 4 game sweep), so thats not too bad. Some of the batting is pretty shitting, save ibanez and shit. Everybody is quick to piss and moan about richie sexon and, but his BA is practically the same as ichiro's (but that'll change almost certainly). Wilkerson hasn't done shit.

Silva has been a damn good starter (22 innings in 3 starts woooo), and bedard is looking like an expensive waste unless his hip or whatever it is gets better.

O'Flarety will be (hopefully) going to the minors cause he sucks a lot this year so far.

Long season though, but its looking kinda funky to start things off.
 
yeah but who did the mets beat moyer and kendrick, wiat to we get myers and hammel agains you in a series hammels took the one game. and we should have won the last game too but the ump sucks

again the divuision still has to go through Philly

I agree Toronto can take over the Yanks, they have no depth in pitching, their young arms won't carry them.

Boston however is interesting, nice rotation, nice batting line up, defence can be shaky, and bullpen is nothing special besides okajima and paplebon.

The jays definitely showed they can beat them by sweeping them last week, so I think its going to be a battle in September for that #1, but I think the jays are just barely going to take it, and make a solid run for the WS
 
word i love the underdog teams. espicially the fucking royals. look at the tigers for goodness sake. can hardly win a game but espn praised them before the season. i know its early but it will take a while for them to make a comeback. the white sox beat them 13-0. WOW
 
actually mr met wasnt inducted tothe mascot hall of fame till 2007 and wasnt even created til 2005 with the inaugural inductees being the san diego chicken the PHILLIE PHANATIC and the pheonix gorilla. and the phanatic the chicken and the expos yippie are the only mascots in cooperstown!

Mr. Met is the official mascot of Major League Baseball's New York Mets. He is a baseball-headed humanoid being who wears a Mets cap and uniform. He can be seen at Shea Stadium during Mets home games, has appeared in several commercials as part of ESPN's This is SportsCenter campaign, and has been selected into the Mascot Hall of Fame.

Mr. Met was first introduced on the cover of game programs in 1963, when the Mets were still playing at the Polo Grounds in northern Manhattan. When the Mets moved to Shea Stadium in 1964, fans were introduced to a live costumed version. ha ever heard of jet lag, u try to fly over 16000 miles then play 5 games in a row! in a interveiw before the game varitek said he found himself delirius all the time after going to Japan
