There's an official Tahoe thread, and regionals is a pretty dead section of NS anyways, but I figure it's worth a shot.

Anything Mammoth related - Summer, Winter, Skiing, Biking, Fishing, Socially related should go here.

If you see this thread and happen to be heading to Mammoth for any reason talk about it here! Mammoth is a pretty cool place for a small town with some great outdoors shit to do so hit it up NS!
 
Didn't want to leave it in the thread heading itself so I'm dub posting but about myself, I'm moving to Mammoth full time for college so I'll be there permanently starting this wednesday
 
I'll be heading to mammoth for some mountain biking in the next few weeks. And then every month or so in the winter. P_blacks dad lives in bishop and works for the mountain so we go stay with him and get free tickets

i m from switzerland and wanna stay in mammoth next spring about 6 weeks or so. where can i stay cheap? thanks for help!
 
Anyone know how much snow is actually on the mountain. I'm going to to be in bishop for fall break and I'm wondering if there is enough snow to hit a rail in the woods or something.
 
Woke up to snow this morning, getting itchy to ski.

any pre-season rails anywhere? Woods set up, on the mountain or backyard setup?

so stoked for Nov 7, leaving UNR at 6 on wednesday and gonna be there for opening day! who is gonna be there? lets chill
 
they got 12-18 inches a bit of days ago. and they have been making as much snow as they can. they have already guaranteed a park. so im gonna be there! like i said, im getting of work at 6, driving down and going for opening day. who needs to go to college classes when mammoth opens? haha just kidding stay in school kids
 
I'll be out skiing around noon tomorrow and all day Saturday. Look for the purple cat sweatshirt and slim bright blue pants.

 
1 good size jump, and like 13 boxes. Haha it's a weird thing after not skiing for so long. In the morning, I fucked up 3's and shit. Got back into my groove throughout the day though.
 
I was riding in the jean vest today.

Good fucking god there were a shit ton of hipster so cal snowboarders.

Nothing wrong with that but a lot of dark clothes and skinny pants. I was wearing neon blue slims though...

Look for the super light blue. Let's shred.
 
Anyone have a cat I can borrow. There is an over abundance of mice in my house... A few days would probably do.
 
Checking this thread for the first time in way too long, frustrating because I see some people have been up here... Meanwhile I fucking live up here, and am going to be working on rentals at main starting the 12th of december. Management doesn't know when they can get us the passes before then, so I just get to stare at the mountain from my room for now.
 
@deadmoose - cool PM me when you're up here! I'll be skiing whenever it's not busy.

@rickroller, I wouldn't... Car will always obviously be most handy, but the public transportation around here in the winter is fantastic actually, you just have to figure out where each 'line' goes, there's different color lines so you may have to hop off one and on another, but they're fast. And it's free to take any bus!
 
anyone going up to mammoth from L.A area this weekend? I'm trying to get up and will pitch in for gas

Anyone have a pair of 175-190 cm park skis that my brother could borrow/buy while we are in town Jan 13-20th? Rock skis are fine
