Official Lost final season countdown

i agree with the jack theory because he keeps saying that he needs to stay on the island and that there is something that he needs to do
 
allright how about that :
in the end most characters die except for maybe one or two. Those remaining two or one charcters get the chance (somehow, maybe through that old lady mixed in with the whole time travel thing) to relive their lives as if the airplane never crashed and to have everyones most wanted wish granted. The remaining character(s) accepts the deal as it will bring back to life all the others. We then realize that this life is actually what this season's alternate timeline was all about. The charcaters are back to life, the plane didnt crash and they have one of their most wanted wishes granted : Desmond has the approval or Richmore, Jack has a son, Sawyer is a cop who stops con artists like the one whos responsible for his parents deaths, sun and jin are free from sun's father and together, etc. Except like we saw an episode or two ago, Desmond and Charlie and all start to remember that they once were on the island, before that "deal". If this theory is true than itll probably end with all the characters reuniting and saying somethign liek "we have to go back".
what do you guys think ?
 
i didnt read this whole thread so this might be a repeat but for people that missed some stuff every episode up until this point, season 1-6 is all on hulu until the season finale. pretty cool.
 
anyone else think the sideways universe is the future and that they somehow destroy the island and are sent to this alternate sideways universe? that's my theory anyway
 
Well, I think that we are given many clues to make us think of a specific ending..and then they'll completely mindfuck us!

I also think that Jack and Desmond are the keys to this whole ordeal, but I hope one thing: that John Locke's actor gets nominated for a Golden Glove for his "man in black" portrayal! He's been...amazing.
 
definitely agreed, terry o'quinn is probably one of my all time favorite actors and he is especially superb in lost.
 
Terry O'Quinn aka John Locke deffinetly deserves all the praise for his acting performance during the Lost series.. It was a dream role with so many aspect to it but he sure did an amazing job with it.

I'll add maybe Micheal Emerson who plays Benjamin Linus in Lost.. Such a complexe role, wich he mastered.
 
God lost flips so much that its so crazy to try to understand all of it.

everyone is expecting that the end will be that Hurley has a dream or Jack becomes Jacob. The Lost people prob expected this so they complety came up with a mind fuck. LIke Locke is testing everyone for the poistion and the ones who survive will gain control of the island (Desmond). Desmond will take that sacrifice and Whitmoor knows whats happening and he is preparing Desmond so when it happens Whitmoor will be the right hand man and get his dream of having the island again.
 
and both have one emmys for their performances. they're the only lost actors to win, and the only besides Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond) to be nominated. he was nominated for best guest actor way back in season 2
 
alright so the smoke monster isn't really jacobs brother right? he died when he fell down that hole and the smoke monster took over his body then eventually john lockes....or am i wrong and it is him? his brother seemed good in that episode. just angry/confused and frustrated because their mom wouldnt tell them everything. but he didnt seem down right evil.

that episode was crazy especially the way they tied it in with the first season. cant wait to see the last few.
 
Yeah Jacob accidentally killed his brother and the smoke monster can only take the form of people who are dead. That episode was still kind of disappointing but at least there were a few answers.

guys, you're forgetting something. the "mother" said that down the tunnel was a fate worse than death. jacob sending his brother down there turned him into the smoke monster, a fate worse than death
 
that episode helped give insight into jacob's brother though and that he's not really as evil as we thought, he's just curious. that episode sort of helped even out the brothers from a moral standpoint. obviously brother jacob is the rebel and jacob is the bitch but brother jacob doesnt seem legit evil, he just seems a little crazy
 
alright so jacob wants to stay on the island but his brother wants to leave.... thats kinda like how jack wants to stay on the island, believing there is a reason for them to be there, but james sawyer wants to leave. could we see a jack/sawyer battle royale?!
 
i think everyone's gonna go down the well and become smoke monsters and all the smoke monsters will live happily ever after terrorizing people who crash on the island
 
But jacob's brother isn't the smoke monster. Jacob's brother died and the lost crew found his skeleton next to his mom when they crashed on the island. The smoke monster only took jacob's brother's shape because it can only take the form of dead people (John Locke). I think the most monster may be created out of all of jacob's brother's corruption or something along those lines.

Also, I do not get what there sick little joke is about not telling us what jacob's brother's fucking name is. I mean come ON!! The entire episode they managed to refer to him as everything except his stupid name, and just to rub it in, every time they spoke to jacob they would punctuate each sentence with his name. Enough already! Just tell us his name!!!!

From the moment Desmond was introduced into the series, he has been my favourite character. He was a significant pawn, but then lost it for a while...NOW he's back with a fucking vengeance! I'm loving this shit soooo much. The finale is on Sunday too.......Extra greatness.

So Jack is now the new keeper. It's been foreshadowed since day 1, I actually thought it wouldn't happen. I think Ben is gonna go apeshit and kill everyone else, while at the same time Desmond is arranging the concert where everyone will gather. Then....fuck, I don't know! Surprise me!
 
I'm fearing a massive anti climax... I hope im wrong after watching this show from the off, when I lived in London: I have since moved to America, changed jobs, changed girlfriends... Fuck the only constant has been lost..... It BETTER not let me down now!!
 
i honestly just want it to be over, i couldnt give a fuck how it ends at this point. the first 2 seasons were some of the best TV i have ever watched, and then it went downhill from there

 
there are many ways in which this could disappoint, and few ways in which they could leave us satisfied...they'd better not fuck up
 
I'm just confused.... So Errbody died, Jack was the last.... So was lock dead when Jack operated on him? Shitty medical staff if they didn't pick up he was already a gone-er?!! So the shoddy bodged up plane- did that crash and burn on the way back? The original plane that landed in LAX... Was that a ghost plane??

Someone post the head explosion, that depicts me best right now- or am I just missing the point?

That was the worst possible way to end the show. After all these years hoping the show wasn't a giant religious trip I'm pissed. the writers must think they're some kind of modern day jesus and have to share their bullshit message.

Waste of my time, would have been way better if the smoke monster won and destroyed everyone and the island. Humanity is inherently evil and wants to destroy everything would have been a way better message. It applies a lot more because there's a good chance in the future that just a few people will cause nuclear war and wipe out the entire human race (similar to what jack/the smoke monster could have done).
 
the island was a purgatory type place. they were all finding out who they truly were and their real characters. then the alternate universe was like heaven i guess. the plane that flew sawyer kate claire etc off the island i guess crashed and everyone dies in purgatory so they can move onto heaven

it was good. not superb
