With lacrosse season just starting up, just thought id start a thread to keep up the hype.

New gear: What kind of gear are you guys buying?

Teams: what are your favorite teams? Who's gonna win it all this year? What team are you playing for?

Players: Bitter? Snyder? Who's your favorite player?

Other: just what ever else you guys can think of related to lacrosse.

Lacrosse is one of the greatest sports with the richest history and this thread is just to keep up to date with the current lacrosse hype of 2014

 
my season starts in a week. As a senior I thought I'd be looking forward to the season, but I would much rather just keep skiing.
 
I thought I would be but I'd much rather play lacrosse with the shitty weather we're having
 
My team just got new custom matte grey cpxr helmets and the nike vapor uniforms in the gray and orange syracuse colorways...im pretty stoked on that
 
Last year we got 6th in State in Minnesota, no one in my town has made it past the second round of sections so it was a pretty big deal to us. We got killed by Eden Prairie in the first game something like 3-16 and I happened to have two of those goals against an All-American goalie. /claim

But this year it's looking like we're going to be in complete shambles. We lost our best goalie because he graduated and the current one(the only one that has ever played before) has been on and off about playing this year. His parent's are forcing him to play because they've put a ton of money and time into him going to goalie camp's.

I'm a senior captain and I'm the top lead scoring middie, earlier this week my coach called me and told me I needed to get goalie stuff and start practicing. He then called me the day after and told me our goalie was going to play so I am off the hook for now. Honestly, I rather have me playing goalie because I know our's isn't going to try at all.

So that's our situation right now.
 
Just started playing this year as a junior. Play for Duluth Chargers in MN. It's pretty much a club team because it's all of the schools around the duluth area besides for proctor now.

Just bought some brine superlight 2's so i'm pretty stoked on that. I just want to ski right now because lax has taken up my entire spring break.
 
Does anyone have a live link to the Syracuse Johns Hopkins game that doesn't require entering your tv providers information?
 
There used to be a way to bypass all that crap but now you have to enter your information which is dumb as fuck.
 
i would watch it but now i have to go to my 4.5 hour practice. Fuuuuk i dont wanna go to the fucking uws center it's hot as balls in there.
 
I can't imagine practicing for that long, we had a captains practice last night from 10pm to 12am because it's cheaper to rent the dome in our town at that time.
 
we have to go to one place until 4 then drive over to duluth to this ghetto place and stay there until 630 so i guess it's 4 hours but it's till going to suck. There's gonna be alot of killers indian runs and down and backs and im gonna die.
 
just got back from three game tourney and got our asses handed to us by some western Washington teams.
 
First scrimmage is Thursday, the turf is still frozen soild...

Been stringing up sticks for my teammates and making bank. Gotta buy a new hammer as a backup.

New helmets should be coming in this week, matte grey R navy chin, navy mohawk, red chrome cage.
 
playing club lax. Its a dope lifestyle and would highly recommend it.

Anybody here play club at Boulder? They have a great team this year. Looking to go there next year and maybe play some club ball.
 
aha nice. we have pro7s that are just blue with white chin piece. We just got some dope blue and white and gold nike uniforms. I play middie and some LSM, i snapped my long pole though so i may buy a new one or just stay with short stick. I play for falmouth in maine. we used to be the best in the state by far but this year we wont be very good because we graduated a ton of kids. our season starts the 31st. most of all...

Senior year. Ive had all my equipment since freshman year minus a head i bought sophmore year. D1 rhode island playing for North Kingstown. Our Pro 7s are dark gold with black stripes. Are black jerseys are ok but we are getting new white ones this year. We probably wont win the championship but i love lax and i hope to play at montana state next year
 
I played box lacrosse (in Canada) all through elementary and high school. Definitely miss it. Does any one in the states play box?
 
Definitely the proton or super power from STX, I think sportstop.com is having a deal on these, like 50$ or something crazy like that.
 
Proton U is a great head for the price. I snapped two last season in the same spot. So I bought two Hammers and haven't had a problem since.
 
even though the clutch isnt meant as a d head, the brine clutch is killer as long as you have your fundamentals down. Its wicked stiff and durable so it can give quite a beating. they are like 45 on amazon
 
Our head varsity coach sucks dick. It's his 2nd year coaching, and when he first came, he made us drop ~200 bucks for new everything, then this year he expects us do it again. The helmets he made us get are complete shit (Warrior TII's). He got pissed off at the booster club and dissolved it, so it doesn't exist anymore. Pretty much everyone hates him, and especially so in the junior class, because he has more freshman and sophomores on varsity than upperclassmen. The best part is our team still blows dick. We went 4-9 last year, and so far are 2-3 this year.

Same spot you're in man, my coach is ex military and treats our team like his glory days. Pretty much our practices consist of running, line drills, shooting, and then running, he's god awful
 
yeah our coach is a dick. this year hes coaching both colby college and our team, and each year the jv and assistant coaches quit because they hate him. all of the refs hate him so they are always biased against us which is really fucking annoying.
 
All of my coaches are cool except for the assistant jv coach/defense coach. He's actually one of the biggest douches I've seen and makes us run when what the team actually needs to work on is stick work.
