Official Jiberish August Back To School Drop Thread

well, actually, there were jeans prior to those. Not publicly available, but they were featured in a jiberish ad in freeskier a year before the red stitch/blue stitch ones were released. I have a picture of it somewhere

ahh i see. i cant image though how "premium" it was. Cause unless I'm mistaken Jiberish had never released any sort of raw or selvedge denim until they announced they would recently

previous to this summer line their focus was never really on the "premium" market. the only two pieces they had released that had any sort of quality to them were the two wool pieces (08/09 grand cru jacket and level 1 wool) and the seersucka from 09/10 summer line.

True, true, and as much as many people hate it, I really love how Jiberish is edging its way into the streetwear market. With the chambreezys being featured on The Hundreds blog, and the introduction of selvedge denim, I can really see Jiberish going far in streetwear, while they eventually lessen their focus on oversized clothes for skiing. No hate intended towards the 4XL's as I do wear big Jiberish pieces for skiing, I just think streetwear is where Jiberish belongs.

YAY! I can pick out random pieces out of a huge post to support my point too!

"we will always have some focus on relevant looks for streetwear, that does not mean we will not make our core product offering. We will always cover you guys on dope hoodies that you can shred in."

solecollector , sick website also, just made it sound like he wanted them to become a 100% streetwear brand, when really they are trying to thrive in both streetwear and skiing stuff. i like the direction except for the 5 panel hats, not my style

they should just keep making the LoHi in different colors. a mint lohi would be sick. sell out so fast

windbreakers were nothing special by any means. you could get the same thing (if not better) in any pacsun for half the price.

feel very similar about the button ups...really nothing special about them either. the attention to detail just wasn't there and fabric really doesn't set them apart or make them worth what they were charging IMO. not really boutique-level quality like the chambray.

word, i guess it's all a matter of opinion. i will agree with you on the fit though, i've liked the summer sizing a whole lot both in 10 and 11.

and hai there mr. nebula. i consider you to be a pretty fashionable guy as well, at least from what you post on the internet.

When I owned a Jiberish windbreaker, I hated it. the ribbing on the arm cuffs were way too tight. To me it felt extremely uncomfortable.

why fank you!

and to add to the conversation:

I love where jiberish is headed. personally, I couldn't care less for my own sake whether jiberish stays rooted in skiing, just that they don't go mainstream like LRG did from skating and shit.

For the average NSer's sake though, I would like to NS stay true to what they have done in the past. I would really like it if they would adapt the sizing on a few more of their pieces to fit more regularly and less tall.

I agree with this. Jiberish stuff looks cool tall sometimes, but the stuff they're making now is getting really nice for streetwear when I personally wouldn't wear something like a chaquita casually. I'm excited to see more jiberish shorts in the future, too.

they are shorts, just normal shorts. not to baggy, not to skinny, just normal fitting shorts(i own 3 pairs)

i want this too but a good quality one, simple, no design on, something like that:

with a nice embroidered j-crown logo at the same place has the Adidas is..

For those wondering the 6 panel hats (wool one and corduroy one with the leather patch Pete wore in the Vault video) will be dropping in between the fall and winter releases. In store and online.

no problem. not sure who follows them on twitter and who doesnt.

but yeah, that corduroy/leather one is awesome. definitely gonna cop if its affordable.

As do I. Especially being a long time customer. I just wish they made it for their loyal customers rather than whoever clicked the sign up button first, but it's whatever.
