Official Jiberish August Back To School Drop Thread

fuck this post office strike is pissing me off. i know its over but i am going to my gmas for 2 weeks dont know if i should get it shipped to her house or to my house.
 
shipping doesn't happen instantly you know. He said he knows it's over, but even if one orders in the next day or two there's no guarantee it'll show up in time since Canada Post is probably all backed up
 
They didn't accept anymore mail after the lockout though, and before the lockout they were running rotating shifts... So there really shouldn't be a huge build up. My Jiberish has been sitting in Customs since the 22nd but on Monday, the day they started working again, it was already cleared by customs in Vancouver and processed for shipping in Richmond.
 
Yeah, but there will be an overflow. Think all those small businesses that have to send out invoices. As soon as that red tape comes off the box they are shoving lots of mail into it. Thank the Conservative government forcing these overpaid postal workers back to work.
 
everyone seems to come back with this response but what the government did is wrong, they should not have been forced the workers back to work, that defeats the whole point of having a union and rather than talking with the workers to work out a deal they said no go back to work, you cant do that in canada, china sure but not canada
 
No but you see, the fact that they're striking inconveniences a lot of people... To be honest I really don't know too much about the details of what they're asking for VS what they already have, but from the sounds of it they already get pretty good benefits and decent pay, but are still asking for more. Well tough luck, they're just getting greedy and it's at the expense of millions of people.
 
the thing is strikes or lockouts happen all the time but when its something like a postal strike it is more noticeable than lets say a steel workers union going on strike but the whole thing about unions is you have the right to say in not being payed (or i dont have benefits) and go on strike. The government normally handles high public demand job strikes well, for example the Toronto transportation strike, they settled what had to be settled, and the drivers were back to work. However it is not right for a government to demand people to go to work, hell just listen to our national anthem "true north strong and FREE" but in this case they were not free and imo it was wrong
on a side note sorry for the rest of the people reading this thead who arnt canadian and want to read about jiberish
 
the difference is that steel mills aren't government owned, and the people in the head of the unions are fucking greedy and pointless in todays age
 
i saw on their Twitter that the industry where the cap were made is in Canada and during the lockout of Canada Post, all caps were stolen and all other objects in this sucursal too, then this year there will be no Jiberish cap avaible to buy : (

he was trying to say that the people that made the New Era Jiberish Snapbackswere located in Canada and when they shipped them to the U.S. that because of the mail strike in Canada, they were stolen and there will no longer be any snapbacks being made this year.....
