anyone received any of the real clean shorts? looking to pick up a pair or two and was wondering how they compare length wise to places like jcrew or polo or something
 
I ordered my stuff 6 days ago and im in michigan, usually it comes faster. I'm going to punch a tit if it doesn't come today

Naughtical is amazing. Fabric is softer than virgins tit. its cozier than anything else ive ever owned. the colors look amazing in person, pictures don't do them justice

Slate Chambreezy is nice. not as soft as everyone made it out to be, but thats because i had the booby shirt underneath. i wish the arms were about an inch longer though because they feel really tight. ribbing is really nice but i wish the length would have been about half an inch shorter and a tiny bit wider. pockets and zippers feel cheap and the zipper was broken when i got it:

Whatever you do, don't try and stretch your chambreezy, I pulled on the sleeves just a bit and the seam where the sleeve meets the shoulder split, I had a seamstress fix it and reinforce the seams on the inside so you can't notice at all.
 
My local shop is getting the snapbacks with the summer breeze collection some time this week. I will get some pics up when they get them.
 
pics needed to back that hefty claim. also just shut up kid. your annoying the shit out of al the annoying 14 year olds too. now thats a claim for you!

We are real thankful that people care enough to spend time giving our brand their feelings. Definitely love to see folk's opinions and I don't make a habit of hopping into the NS threads so I figured a PM might be easier.

Next time you are in Denver hit me up at pete@jiberish.com and see if we have a design meeting you can sit in on. We have one tomorrow and another next week for our Summer 12 collection if you happen to be in the area. This may help you better understand how much goes into the process. I'm not writing this to change your mind...I am writing it because you may be able to construct a more educated and informed opinion knowing more about how we do things.

We spend an obscene amount of time on the concepts behind every single piece in the collection. Every design has a story behind it and every piece is made for a reason. You may not like the design and you may not resonate with the style, but we definitely are not throwing together half-baked ideas or random designs just for the sake of making more clothing. We actually cut a very large percentage of submitted pieces from the collection each season to trim things up and tighten the line.

Regardless you are entitled to your opinion and we are just happy that people care enough to want to discuss it. We may not be a brand that everyone likes or even understands, but we definitely don't do things lightly or without reason. Everything we do is specific.

Let me know if you every want to take me up on the offer. And thanks for writing the open letter to give us your thoughts.

i would say thats jiberish fault and blame it on quality but honestly if your dumb enough to try and stretch chambray fabric you kind of dont have an excuse
 
gonna go ahead and say that he definitely did not invite you to "go to a meeting with them and submit ideas" but more of a "come to our meeting and sit your ass down while you get your shit learned."
 
If there has anything that your bitching about Jiberish and its wearers has taught me, its that you are an idiot, and (also what I have learned from Spencer) that if there is a company I really like and want to get to do some cool shit with, I should just openly bitch about them.

Good job. Hopefully you are man enough to take them up, and bitch directly to Pete about how shitty his company is, and how much better it would be if you ran it.

first time ive actually agreed with one of your posts, stretching any expensive article of clothing no matter what fabric its made of is just stupid. but to think that you could stretch chambray fabric is straight up retarded
 
jiberish isnt a shitty company, i just feel like they are changing very fast and not staying true to their roots. i dont hate pete drago either. if anything this proves how legit he is. i do however hate jiberish whores like yourself who buy something because of a fucking label. i really need to leave these threads because no matter how much i argue its not going to change the distorted minds of newschoolers
 
this is just an ignorant statement, the amount of change jiberish is undergoing is perfectly fine. Both high fashion style and street wear fashion style change at an alarming rate, its almost impossible to keep up. However jiberish is surprisingly doing a great job at just that, especially for being such a small company. I every clothing company "stayed true to their roots" there would be clothing brands going out of business left and right. what was popular 5 years ago isnt popular now change is necessary to stay alive in an industry like fashion
 
There is such thing as liking a brand, and it's generally accepted to be OK do it.

I have looked at more than a few Jiberish items and thought that they are ugly as fuck. I buy things because they look good and because they are from a brand I like, as I assume many other people with collections like mine do. People don't mindlessly buy things because they are made by the right brand.

I'm sure you are probably brand-loyal to The Gap, or Old Navy, or whatever you wear, but only buy what they make that you think looks good.
 
you are really trying to tell jiberish what to do? really? you think pete, blake or anyone else at jiberish is gonna listen to what some 19 year old kid has to say? yeah they are going to take into consideration what the target audience wants, but stop your bitching becuase at the end of the day its their company and they can do whatever they want. and what is wrong with adding more drops? i think its the smartest idea they have had business wise. you are the only person i have ever seen complain about the multiple drops. your thoughts/opinions at this point are invalid.
 
I dont understand how this makes sense. People who buy things because of the label are people who buy things with well known labels. Brands that can be recognized at a quick glance, brands that have one trademark design that is a status of quality and design. Take true religion for example; do you think anyone has bought a pair of True Religion jeans because they were comfy, no. People buy them because they are true religion and because other people will notice that they are wearing an expensive designer brand. 98% of the people i know have no idea what jiberish even is. So i dont get where your coming from when you say people buy jiberish for the label. Ive never had anyone complement me on the fact that im wearing jiberish because its a well known brand. I have however been wearing jiberish and gotten complements on how cool my shirt or sweatshirt is. So im pretty sure no one buys jiberish to tell people they are wearing jiberish like its some sick designer brand, people buy it because its different and eyecatching.
 
The 15th was apparently just for the snapbacks being released at LoHi, so I would assume the abstract mall release date is on monday or something. I don't actually know though, there hasn't been any information from Jiberish.
 
Any one have any idea if they will have vests in the winter line? Because if not I want to get one before they cost 9 bagilion doll hairs
 
Honestly he should not have come in here in the first place expecting any positive reactions to his comments. This thread is 26 pages for the very reason that it is filled with posts and comments made by people that very much support the Jiberish brand. While I do on a personal level believe that moderation is a great thing, it is none of anyone's business how another person goes about spending their money. In my opinion Jiberish is one of the better street-wear companies out their, it is certainly my favorite, and they have shown time and again that they value the customers opinion very highly as any company should. It is not as though one person who does not support where they are heading is going to change one of our (a supporters) opinion. So why can't we allow him to post his thoughts without a massive backlassh?

That's all I have to say but its not like my opinion really matters.
 
Not taking sides here, but just from my perspective some people might actually buy Jiberish partially for the "label". I mean personally, I just love the fact that I'm wearing something that most people DON'T know. It just makes it that much more special to me that I'm wearing something that 99% of the people I will meet won't own. Plus, it's always awesome when some random stranger recognizes your Jiberish - the newschool skiing community is pretty tight-knit and small, and it's just awesome that seeing someone with a Jiberish hoodie is enough for you to have a reason to talk to them.
 
Great post, I completely agree. I like how you presented a different take on buying jiberish for the brand name. Part of the reason jiberish is expensive is because they are a small company that doesnt put out 10,000 of the same sweatshirt, as larger brands do. Just yesterday, I was wearing a hoody and a random guy commented on it, starting a conversation about jiberish, skiing, etc.
 
makes sense. but I think that sometimes you have to tell people like him how retarded they are.

Back to Jiberish:

I got a pretty big order, but I have been wearing at least one item from Summer Breeze nearly every waking minute of my day since it arrived at my door. LOVE EVERYTHING.

Oh and the v-neck is a lot deeper than I expected. No worries though!
