got all of my stuff today, and i must say i'm incredibly impressed. figured i'd write a little something up for the people still on the fence about making a purchase from this summers drop.
Chambreezy-absolutely gorgeous hoodie. picked up a blue and a red one, both in XXL. the colors are perfect; both the red and the blue are a bit darker than pictured on Abstract, but i personally couldn't be happier with it. the sizing is on point; at 6'1 175 lbs. it's probably 7-8" off the top of my knee cap and it covers my ass in the back. to be honest it's a little taller than i was expecting/wanting, but i will definitely live. i too (like everyone else on NS) am in love with this new ribbing. i would say that it's even better than 08/09. the attention to detail is nice too and everything seems to be constructed really well.
BOTTOM LINE-if you were considering the Chambreezy but thought that $90+/- was too steep, pull the trigger and make the purchase. it's worth it.
Constructive criticism:
a) why do you leave the fabric that connects to the zipper raw and unsewn? the seersucka last year was the same way and the fabric on the inside begins to run and separate after not very long/little abuse...it's really my only complaint with this sweatshirt.
Shorts-i purchased the Pack It In Grey and Real Clean Blue both in size 34. normally i wear a 34 in shorts, so ordering true to size had me a bit worried...but again Jiberish killed it. both pairs fit amazingly well, i'd say exact to size. all the pockets on the PII's are fully usable and spacious, buttons are all securely fastened and placed well and logos and emblems are tastefully done and don't obnoxiously scream, "IM WEARING FUCKING JIBERISH SHORTS!!".
BOTTOM LINE-well worth the money, especially because they're very competitively priced with other manufacturers. fit is about as good as it gets, kinda loose and baggy without making you look like a vato. ORDER YOUR REAL SIZE.
Shirts-purchased Crowned Black, Rapiere Peach and Octo Blue all XL. it definitely looks like they stepped up the quality of materials. the necks are beefed up a bit, screen printing is thicker, embroidery looks baller, and the fit has been slimmed down and refined.
