Gather round fellow NS'ers. Its time for the Build a jib 101 contest.

What we are looking for: The most creative, unique one of a kind jib that you have set up and hit. It can be any thing, from rails, wallrides, jumps, bonks or whatever you can come up with. we will be judging on creativeness and not skier or boarder ability(aka a 270 on would not make it any better).

Whats required: Video proof that you can jib said object. The video must be shot between the beginning of the current season till the end of the contest. The person hitting the jib must also be your self. A little description of the jib, how you set it up and how well it work would be nice as well.

Multiple entries are acceptable.

Contest ends on May 1st, 2007. No late entries period. We will all vote once all the videos are submitted.

please use this thread to post the videos. Also host the video through NS so that it wont be deleted by an out side source(no vid = no entry when it comes time to vote).

Let the jibbing begin, oh and BTW its gonna be real hard to be me.

yeah lets see yours ha not being gay just wanna see it also what if we build one and post a video but build another one that we think is better than our old one? Can we post the second one too?

I jibbed a sandwich today. Like one of those long subway ones.

No Joke.

We have this fat long box at the park which is kinda shitty, so people just sit on it and watch other people hit rails and shit, and nobody ever hits it cause you die. So there were 2 kids sitting on it today, and 1 of them was eating subway, and I decided out of the blue to hit it, so I yelled dropping, they looked up, and dove out of the way. Anyways, that kid left his sandwich on the box, and I hit it with my ski.

Luckily, the sandwich was only slightly smooshed, and could still be eaten.

and that is my jibbing a sandwich story. and no, I did not get a picture of it unfortunatly. but I'll take a pic of the box next time I go up.

yes.

I have absolutely no snow in my yard to do my jib. And on top of that I broke my collar bone 2 days ago.

I have to say I dont like the idea of the skier hitting it having to be the same as the person who built. So what, I build a jib, cause thats how I roll, and my buddy hits it, still my jib, idea, etc. Give the other guy credit, sure I dont give a shit, but I thought the idea was it rules out skiing skill to an extent, and I'm not that great of a skier. I thought it was about building an original and sick jib, not being a sick skier. I mean if you dont judge on difficulty, its not going to matter anyways. You just wanted visual proof that it can be hit, not visual proof that I'm a great skier.

Heres why I'm pissed:

I ski, not very well, but I do and I love it. I'm also the cameraman and builder, I enjoy those aspects of skiing and thats my contribution to the sport. As a result I dont get a ton of time on the mountain to progress. So I figured if we ever get the snow, I'd throw down my idea and get a friend of mine to ski it. Its unfair to just give the skier all the credit, cause he didnt build it, but is it also unfair to give me all the credit cause I didnt ski it, maybe. I dont know how you guys feel about that, but nobody should tell me I cant enter my shit because I teamed up with a couple people to make it happen.

^go for it man, dont want to hold back any creativeness. Shit no one has entered any so far, lets get the ball rolling.
