no problem. it was fun this whole weekend. i talked to chris, and he said they might change a few of the features that aren't getting used as much for h town, but we'll see
today was lots of fun. the features are really pretty big. i wouldnt label anything in there as "easy" especially the rails. h town will be fun im guessing
hell yah, i'm stoked, should be a good turn out. what is everyone going to compete in? pro? am? age groups? hoping to make it back late friday night after i close up the mini jib park at big sky so i can session saturday, haven't been to the GD since xmas break unfortunately, so if anyone is going to be up there on saturday hit me up, or holler, should be a good time.
Ill be coming up from Bozeman on Sunday morning or Saturday night. Not sure what division I will enter, either the 18+ am or pro... depends on how stacked the pro division is or how empty am is. I want a good challenge but I don't want to get destroyed.. Anyone know if Mcchesney of Luke Tanaka or any of those guys will be entering?
^^mcchesney is in slc i believe and i duno bout luke hed destroy it and take all the money if he entered. should be good fun i think im gna do the 18+ , who else is going???
i wasnt up last weekend i stayed home and rode bigsky, i know the jump whats there for rails last time i was there it was just a propane tank and the hi bar
ok so at the top is the propane tank, then you can either go right or left. skiers right is the high bar, then you can split off one of two ways. you can hit a fdf bar then and up flat down box, or you can do a flat down box then the big jump. if you go left, you can either hit a kinda aerials jump that pops you up, or an up-gap-down bar that's pretty big. then below that is the jump on the left. it's a pretty sweet set up
i was at big sky, but apparently they pushed the jump on skiers left to 51 feet. its not very poppy, it sends you farther, and i hear you have to mob in. that's all i know
ya chris measured the jump 51 feet its got a long trany and chris said it was pretty smooth. the jump at the bottom of the pipe is smaller too but it feels better cause the landing fits the jump instead of feeling super short for such a big jump.
haha that thing is ridiculous, the only thing i didnt like about it was how much speed u have to have going in to it, and the in run was like 5 inches of slush
yah and what's up with this pond skim? where do they have that held?
anybody else down for a night of urban (seeing as helena has endless options of urban to hit)? shred all day, get some food, go slay urban under some lights? with all the snow we've been getting, hopefully they got some there too
last year the pond was above the lodge, probably the same spot this year but i don't know. they're supposed to have 3 ponds, one 15 ft, one 30 ft, one 60 ft, but that's just what i heard so don't hold me to that.
as for the urban, we haven't gotten much snow, as in hardly any at all, and i doubt it will still be here by saturday. but if there is i'd be down, or we could get snow from somewhere else
There are a bunch of hotels in Helena. That's kind of close I guess; I'm not sure if there is anything closer. You could sleep in your car if you wanted to be super close.
big jumps are open in rodeo i guess they just reshaped them!
but they pulled all the rails out or rodeo
there is a few rails left in rascal or ruckus or something haha
then the waterpark which sounds super fun its like 3 ponds
i had a good time for sure. minus the girl i almost killed in the landing of the 3rd big pond... where are the parents?!??? letting their kids lay down in the landings... gah damn
