I'm so bad at FIFA. I can't finish for shit and usually get beat by 1-2 goals cause I miss out on so many chances... Any helpful hints?
 
I mostly hit it right at the goalie or go over. I have tried aiming and doing a few things to see what I could do to switch it up, but I keep going straight at the keeper.

Also I am on PS3.
 
definetly an easy solution to that problem. Its gonna take some getting used to but will help a lot. Go into the controller settings menu before the game and change your shooting setting from automatic to semi-automatic. It will help you pin corners like its nobody's business once you get used to it. I had the same issue and that helped so much.
 
One thing is to know your forwards. If they're left footed or right footed and what their weak foot is rated. Also don't finesse unless you're inside the 18 or if they have the "finesse" trait. Also you can go to the arena under "skill games" and get a better feel for how much to power up from what distances.
 
IMO for the most part finesse shots are weak in FIFA 13. They are essentially shots that are generally slower and have some curve to them. Like what was said above, they should really only be used inside the box because they are pretty slow. For a finesse shot (on xbox) you power up with "B" button while holding down "RB."

Lob shots are just for going over the keeper and holding "LB" while powering up with B.
 
yeah I agree. They definitely weakened them compared to other years. The only real time I use them consistently is on breakaways when the keeper is beginning to come out
 
well sir i hate to disappoint but i was playing against somebody online for my goal. I hate playing against the AI anyways you can't skill against them....
 
If you're referring to the links I posted, I have no answer. I have been wondering the same thing for years now as I've posted things online. Those four clips that I posted were all scored online against an online opponent, on Ultimate Team.

Fifa 12 I was way into FUT and then started wanted to blow real cash and stopped altogether. I started playing a bit in 13 and its still pretty damn fun. Regular Seasons and FUT Seasons is endless entertainment.

haha yeah... you probably should reconsider that callout. There are people on here that I guarantee have over 200 games and you being able to beat your friend won't mean shit against them (or me)
 
just for the record that team was only worth about a third of my total coin ammount...
