I started playing FIFA 12 this year and got really into it. Although I stopped playing soccer a while ago and lost interest for a while, It made me appreciate the sport more and understand it better, because you're seeing the whole field from a distance, like you would if you were watching a real soccer match, and you learn to use good team strategy.

I'll probably be getting FIFA 13. My gamertag is sliksteez02

 
i think so. it's a really well done game and there's a lot to it. my friends who never played soccer have been playing it recently and it's gotten them into real soccer, we watch pro games and hit balls around together now
 
when i first started playing fifa i had never experience in real soccer and still don't and hated it before. its my favorite game ever and i hated soccer before i started playing it.
 
im really excited the demo was great and it seems much better than 12. i have also started my ut made 1.5k yesterday and i have got 2-3k worth of players on the market.

pretty sure once the new one comes out you cant play live.

iv got fifa 10 and havnt been able to play live/ultimate team etc since the new ones have come out
 
u can play the last 2 years so now only 12 and 13 work or maybe 11 not sure, if u havent you should definatley get 13 it is by far the best one yet and i have played em since 06
 
am i the only one who thought defense was clumsy and shitty in 12? i felt like poking and making tackles was weird. i played the demo for 13 and it seemed to be changed luckily

Yep. The defense in previous games had some seriously obvious flaws. All you had to do was exploit them and you were good to go.

FIFA 13's defense system seems to be much much smarter. Have yet to find a flaw yet. Makes scoring that much more difficult.
 
The auto-switching is still a serious problem. Whenever theres a chip through ball i always get switched to my CB and he gets moved forward and opens up my whole defense. i hate it so much and there's nothing I can do about it
 
^Pretty sure you can go to controller settings and turn auto-switch off. I can't stand it either (except corners) and have turned it off in previous editions.
 
Correct, you are able to turn auto switch off in the settings. I usually play with that off and with pass assistance on semi.
 
for this fifa i have rocked the semi assisted shot aswell, it really helps so u can paint the corners now that finnese is so ineffective
 
im aware...i have tried it before and i cant stand it. I like the auto switch everywhere else except for my center backs -- its really frustrating

One game I played a borderline EPL allstar team that had player like Hazzard and Poldolski coming from the bench. I somewhat held my own in a 4-2 loss. Next game straight bronze team that sucked ass.
 
has anyone ever scored in like the first 2 minutes and had your opponent quit and the match doesn't get recorded? wtf is that shit?
 
yea its stupid. matches aren't counted if you or your opponent are disconnected within the first 5 mins. It really sucks if you get an early goal cuz then they will just quit
 
I haven't played any of the recent FIFA games since 2006: Road to the World Cup. But I was drunk and decided to play the FIFA 13 demo this weekend and I am absolutely blown away. I will be picking up a copy very very soon.
 
any 1 got any good ultimate team ideas,i have already made a barclays team, seria a team, erdivisie team and 2 bundesliga teams. I have about 50-70k
 
UT D1 is a bitch. I cant seem to win a game. Been demoted twice, but got promoted right back both times. I finally figured out how to makemoney trading. reached six figures for the first time ever today
 
Well. I was having fun playing FIFA 13 Career mode until about 1 hour ago. End of the season and, I want to start a new season. Game and PS3 freezes every single time I try to advance to the new season. EA needs to get their shit together. FIFA is probably one of the bigger selling games in the world and they can't even get something as simple as Career mode to work smoothly. I know I couldn't code it because it isn't my job but, nothing has really changed about career mode in the past few titles so... why is it still having simple mistakes like this?
 
with that much extra cash its really fun to make some weirder squads that are incredibly fun. Like currently im in the process of making a silver MLS squad. The RS has 94 pace and the RCB has 93 pace hahaha its a good time. Heres the link on FUTHEAD if you wanna check it out:

Also heres hands down the best squad i've ever built. Absolutely incredible. Overall pretty inexpensive with the exception of Hugo Lloris. Cost around 180K in total tho:

im not sure of your ability level so forgive me if you feel like im talking at you like your just starting out if thats not the case...but the key is rotation. So for that russian league/BPL hybrid i have McGeady at LM and Hulk at RM. Then on the bench i have Tosic who is a LM. This way i can use the three of them to rotate through. One game will be McGeady at LM and Hulk at RM, then the next will be Tosic at LM and McGeady at RM, and so forth. This way you only need one sub. Then i do the same with the strikers. I have Emenike on the bench and do a little rotation with Eto'o, Welliton, and Emenike.

Unfortunetly you can't do this with CAMs and CDMs in 4-1-2-1-2 but depending on what formation you're using could work. With this system i have had to buy only 4 extra players to keep everyones fitness up.

As for the Defense tho, it's hard to find good D that has the specific attributes i need (CB's are french and in BPL, RB is Brazilian (for chem with Hulk) and BPL, etc.) so i just use fitness cards for them every so often.
 
oh shit, i just realized you said 2 players in each position, not a sub for every position.

My bad, but some of what i said still applies..like the positions i have McGeady, Hulk, and Tosic in are RM, RW, and LM respectively. This way i can put any of them (preferably not Hulk) at Left or Right because it will only be a minor decrease in overall chemistry (again except for hulk because he's RW)
