Official Far Cry 3 thread

Finally found a copy of this damn game. It's been pretty much impossible to find in BC since pre Christmas.

While it's no Skyrim (I think it will be a while before a game can beat Skyrim), it's pretty entertaining so far. NOT a fan of how they set up their saving/loading though. Only one slot and it seams like you have to quit to the main screen to load your save? Tragic really.

Probably too much RPG elements for your traditional FPS player, but as a big RPG fan, I like it. NOW LET ME SKIN A DAMN MANTA RAY!!!
 
xbox. and there's three slots for different games, but only one save spot per game, if you get my drift. I guess it is supposed to be a FPS first and not an RPG first, and you usually can't do multiple saves in a FPS, so... yeah, just ignore me I guess.
 
It was an alright game. It definitely needed more guns, vehicles, and wildlife. In my opinion, the strongest feature this game had was the environment. The developers created a picture perfect Caribbean island that didn't disappoint. Climbing to the peak of mountains that over looked the entire map and then hang gliding off of them was great.

Would probably give the game around an 8/10
 
If you find 20 relics, you unlock the signature sniper. It's the .50 cal with explosive rounds. You can shoot any car once or twice and it will explode, and it's a one shot kill on heavies. It's extremely fun to go into enemy territory and blow up every car that drives by. They start going crazy after a while trying to find who's doing it.
