And are you achieving such speeds for it to actually work?

What sort of shocks and springs are you running because that's a big factor in how effective it is.

Obviously I wasn't in it for the performance aspect. And yeah I do have to be a little more carefull. Just can't rocket over speed bumps :)

and what type of question is that? you obviously know nothing about cars/ suspension so please take your clueless self into another thread. kthankbai

08 s-line a4 2.0t in quartz grary yes its a 6 speed, and i love it, as of now just have an apr carbonio intake and upgraded DV, unatronic and hopefully stasis exhaust are next..oh and my ski barn boot tote hanging from the back adds 50000HP oh and my moms 08 z4 coupe 3.0si

You are fucking retarded. I will almost guarantee you just bought the cheapest coilovers you could afford, paid someone to install them, and now think your car is a fucking racecar.

ok but you still hindered the performance of your car. i hope it was worth it for the %5 of people who notice that type of thing/actually care

Is it possible to have a car thread without people saying "why do it if it hinders the performance of the car". just shut the fuck up, you think people slam there cars for performance? no you fucking idiots it's because they like the look of a low to the ground car, is it that hard to grasp?

There are two other car threads where he could/should have posted instead of making another thread for his shitty "slammed" car.

God thank you. Its his money, maybe he just wants a nice cruiser that looks good around town, not racecar. I like how someone can drop 2k$ on clothes that serve no purpose other than style and looking nice(Sweatyballs), but then when someone wants to make their car look nice everyone tears them apart

damnit OP I was trying to help you...all is lost should have read the thread more carefully.

but even in the other threads my point is still relevant

Having driven many VAG cars on different suspension setups, I can def say that lowering a car 1.5''s with a decent set of coilovers will def make the car handle better. Way less body roll and much more responsive! You dont have to be doing 160mph to notice the difference. That corner youd take at 60 and feel the body roll and almost gonna slide out, now you can take it at 60 still, but feel like you are on rails!

i agree. I love lowering a car and getting stiffer spring rates! I had a 2002 325 that i dropped 2.5 in the front and 2 in the back. Cornered like no other after that. Eliminating body roll and stiffer suspension makes it feel quicker because you can corner faster.

Fucking this.

I think its pretty safe to say you drop any car 2" on a decent set of coilovers and there will be noticeably different ride and handling characteristics. I don't think the average person will use the advantages to their fullest daily driving on the street, but there are still advantages. Say emergency stops for example; I know I've had to slam on the brakes a few times to avoid shit in the road and a stiffer suspension has helped me keep the car under control. Instead of the car rolling and diving it stays flat and planted.

These type of threads crack me up because it seems the majority of people on this forum think they are "car experts".
